Аннотация: The bulk samples of Co58Ni10Fe5B16Si11 alloy were prepared by two techniques. The regimes of dynamic compaction and plasma spray deposition were selected so that the basic magnetic characteristics remain unchanged. The investigations of structure and magnetic properties of bulk samples were carried out by X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy and correlation magnetometry.

Аннотация: The modification of the spectrum and damping of bulk plasma waves due to three-dimensional random inhomogeneities of the density of a degenerate electron gas in a conductor have been investigated using the averaged Green’s function method. The dependences of the frequency and damping of the averaged plasma waves, as well as the position ν m and width Δν of the peak of the imaginary part of the Fourier trans-form of the averaged Green’s function, on the wave vector k have been determined in the self-consistent approximation, which makes it possible to take into account multiple scattering of plasma waves by inhomogeneities. It has been found that, in the long-wavelength region of the spectrum, the decrease revealed in the frequency of the plasma waves is caused by the inhomogeneities, which agrees qualitatively with the behavior of the position of the peak ν m . In the range of large values of the correlation length of inhomogeneities and small values of k, the damping of the plasma waves tends to zero, whereas the width of the peak Δν remains finite, which is due to the nonuniform broadening. A comparison with the data of numerical calculations has been performed.

Аннотация: The lattice dynamics and energies of phases related to antiferrodistorsive and ferroelectric distortions of bulk crystals and thin films of the SrZrO3 crystal have been calculated within the framework of the ab initio model of an ionic crystal. In the case of a bulk crystal, it has been found that the most energetically favorable phases are related to antiferrodistorsive lattice distortions. Ferroelectricity in the SrZrO3 crystal is suppressed by structural lattice distortions. In the case of thin films, it has been found that the ferroelectric instability is retained after the "rotation" of the oxygen octahedron and the film remains polar both in the case of a free surface and with the inclusion of the SrTiO3 substrate in the calculation. The spontaneous polarization of thin films of different thicknesses in the ferroelectric phase has been calculated.

Аннотация: The hysteretic dependences of the magnetoresistance of porous (38% of the theoretical density) granular high-temperature superconductor (HTSC) Bi1.8Pb0.3Sr1.9Ca2Cu3O (x) have been analyzed in the model of the effective intergranular field. This effective field has been defined by the superposition of the external field and the field induced by magnetic moments of superconducting grains. The magnetic flux compression in an intergranular medium, characterized by the effective field, controls the hysteretic behavior of the magnetoresistance. It has been found that the magnetoresistance hysteresis width for the studied porous HTSC depends on the transport current, in contrast to the superconductor of the same composition with high physical density (more than 90% of the theoretical value). For a porous superconductor, a significant current concentration occurs in the region of the grain boundaries, which is caused by features of its microstructure. A current-induced increase in the effective boundary length results in a decrease in the flux compression, a decrease in the effective field in the intergranular medium, and a magnetoresistance hysteresis narrowing with increasing current.

Аннотация: Using an invariant-polarization ultrasound method, we have studied the velocities of elastic waves in the gneisses and amphibolites of the second rock mass of the Archean complex of the Kola superdeep borehole (7622-9456 m) and calculated the determinate components of acoustic tensor and elastic-constant tensor and their symmetry. The symmetry of the studied structures is shown to be rhombic and triclinic. The stereoprojections of mineral's crystallographic orientation and normals to microfractures are built by the data on the inversion of the azimuthal dependence of elastic constants.

Аннотация: Basic equations that describe the conditions of reflection and refraction of bulk acoustic waves at the boundary between acentric crystalline media under uniaxial stress are presented. Аннотация: Bulk Y3/4Lu1/4Ba2Cu3O7 + Cu1-xLixO composites with x = 0, 0.003 and 0.06 and varied volume content of Cu1-xLixO have been prepared. Analysis of the transport properties of the composites has shown that they can be represented as a network of superconductor-semiconductor-superconductor (S-Sm-S) weak links. The dependence of the critical current density on the normal resistance for the composites studied shows a behaviour similar to that for single Josephson junctions. The experimental temperature dependences of the critical current are qualitatively described in terms of a theory of S-Sm-S junctions that takes into account the Andreev reflection of carriers from the S-Sm and Sm-S interfaces.

Аннотация: SOEC temperature dependences of different quality quartz crystals were studied. The simplified phenomenological theory was applied to calculate second order elastic constant temperature dependences. The bulk acoustic waves propagation under the bias of temperature field or of the uniaxial mechanical pressure was considered. It was found that crystal quality changes have caused certain variations of some third order elastic constant values and some temperature coefficients.

Аннотация: In recent years interest has been shown in crystals with the scheelite structure (point symmetry group 4/m) as promising materials for acoustooptic devices. However, nearly all the work done so far has been on the NaBi(MoO4)2 and PbMoO4 crystals. In this paper the authors give the results of a study of the elastic and acoustooptic properties of NaBi(WO4)2 and LiBi(MoO4)2 crystals from a series of isomorphic compounds with the scheelite structure carried out in order to determine the extent of the changes in the elastic and acoustooptic properties of this series of crystals when the structural elements are changed.
