Аннотация: For the spin-fermion model, it has been shown that the concept of spin polarons makes it possible to reproduce fine details of the Fermi surface evolution in the nodal direction of La2-xSrxCuO4 occurring with changes in the doping level x. The physics here is determined by the spin-correlated hopping of charge carriers and by the doping dependence of the inverse magnetic correlation length. © 2013 Pleiades Publishing, Inc.

Doped Mott-Hubbard materials -- Metal-insulator transition -- First removal -- electron states

Аннотация: A simple metal-insulator criterion for doped Mott-Hubbard materials has been derived, Its readings are closely related to the orbital and spin nature of the ground states of the unit cell. The available criterion readings (metal or insulator) in the paramagnetic phase reveal the possibility of the insulator state of doped materials with the forbidden first removal electron states. According to its physical meaning, the result is similar to the Wilson's criterion in itinerant electron systems. The application of the criterion to high-T-c cuprates is discussed. Аннотация: Dependence of magnetization on applied magnetic field for single-crystal Bi-2212 whiskers was measured at different temperatures. Symmetric and asymmetric magnetization loops were successfully described by the extended critical state model (the extended Valkov-Khrustalev model). Pinning force of whiskers was investigated. Аннотация: We consider magnetic mechanism of superconducting pairing in the effective low energy t - t' - t '' - J* model with all parameters calculated ab initio. Interaction of strongly correlated electrons with different phonon modes is also incorporated. In a BCS type theory, the d(x2-y2) gap is given by a sum of magnetic and phonon contributions. The main contribution to the only fitting parameter G is determined by a competition of the breathing and buckling modes. Fitting the parameter G from the isotope effect, we obtain that magnetic and phonon contributions to the critical temperature T-c work together and are of the same order of magnitude.

Аннотация: The transport properties of a novel foamed superconductor Bi1.8Pb0.3Sr1.9Ca2Cu3Ox have been studied. As the analysis of resistive transitions in a magnetic field shows, the dissipation follows a thermally activated flux creep model with the temperature- independent pinning potential in S-N-S-type Josephson junctions.

Аннотация: The electronic structure of p-type doped HTSC cuprates is calculated by explicitly taking into account strong electron correlations. The smooth evolution of the electronic structure from undoped antiferromagnetic to optimally and heavily doped paramagnetic compositions is traced. For a low doping level, in-gap impurity-type states are obtained, at which the Fermi level is pinned in the low-doping region. These states are separated by a pseudogap from the valence band. The Fermi surfaces calculated for the paramagnetic phase for various concentrations of holes are in good agreement with the results of ARPES experiments and indicate a gradual change in the Fermi surface from the hole type to the electron type. Аннотация: Peculiarities of the temperature isotope effect in a BCS-type theory describing the exchange and phonon mechanisms of Cooper pairing in a system of strongly correlated electrons are considered. The electron-phonon interaction constant is determined from the fitting of the calculated value of the isotope-effect index to the observed value with the parameters of La(2 - x) Sr (x) CuO(4) obtained from ab initio calculations. The value of this constant indicates that the contribution from the traditional pairing mechanism to the superconducting state is of the same order of magnitude as the contribution from the magnetic mechanism.
