Аннотация: The study deals with private forests in the state of Lower Saxony (W.Germany). The results of the study are described and also shown in numerous tables, whereby the relationship to the size of the forests owned is emphasized. 40% of the work was done by the forest owners. The evaluation of the forest as a source of income showed a clear relationship between the rank of importance and the size of the ownership
