Studies on the karyotype analysis in conifers (in Korean lang.)

Аннотация: The purpose of this study are as follows. First, to clarify the provenance and identification of 52 taxa of conifers in Korea that are of highly economic value and of importance as afforested taxa, were review the existing system of taxonomically classification and the phylogenetic interspecific and intergeneric relationships. Second, to estimate the Gynotype of the next-generation individual by identifying the karyotypical characteristics to each tree species in a sense of forest genetics breeding and tracking the karyotype of parents in crossbreeding. Third, to obtain the basic cytological materials capable of verifying the genetic variation of a new individual created by the tussuculture or genetic engeneering techniques.

Аннотация: On the basis of karyotype analysis of the mitotic chromosomes in root tips of the germinating seedlings, a common basic idiogram was set up for the Siberian larch( Larix sibirica Ledb. and Larix sukaczewii Dyl.). No differences in the chromosome morphology were found between these two Siberian larch spesies. The seed material originated from different autochthonic stocks.

Occurrence of mosaic-aneuploid in polyembryonic Norway spruce seed

Аннотация: In this ivestigation, the chromosome number in the embryos of polyembryonal Picea abies seeds was determined. Polyembryony in seeds of Narway spruce is of rather common occurrence in the northern regions of Scandinavia. The selection of such seeds for experimental purposes can be easily made with the help of x-ray radiography.Among 220 polyembryonal seeds investigated there was one with two embryos. One of the embryos was normal (2n=24), the other was a mosaic aneuploid with chromosome number ranging from 12 to 24. Some other cytological abnormalities were also observed in this embryo.
