Аннотация: Growth is fundamentally a property of protoplasm; synthesis of new protoplasm takes place through the activity of that already present. The result is generally a more or less permanent increase in organic mass. Overall increase in mass or volume usually is accompanied by permanent changes in form and internal organization. Such differentiation occurs in both cellular and tissue development.
