Аннотация: The object of the researches was to furnish a general picture of the geographical distribution of soil algae in the different soil types of the world in relation with some of their most important influencing environmental factors. By investigations have been therefore the characteristic ph values and the actuel moisture content of the soil samples examined. It will be remarked, that the results of these researches can not be able, to give any exact relations concerning to the influence of ph values on the distribution of soil algae in the various soil types investigated. All these results obtained, can be able therefore only give an previous out line of the influence of ph values on the distribution of algae in the different soil types of the world

Аннотация: The microbial invasion of unpeeled birch pulpwood during outside storage was studied. It was shown that the wood was invaded by a number of different micro-organisms - especially by fungi. Fungi with a minor wood-destroying capacity were found early in the wood, but later disappeared, being unable to complete with more pronounced wood-destryers. Temperature had a substantial influence on the antagonistic activity of the bacteria on angar as well as in wood
