Аннотация: Книга посвящена вопросам нормативного регулирования (HP) земных станций спутниковой связи (ЗС СС) фиксированной и подвижной спутниковых служб (ФСС и ПСС), работающих в диапазонах частот 1/2, 6/4, 14/11-12, 30/20, 30/11-12 ГГц. Раскрываются вопросы гармонизации HP - тенденции, которая наблюдается во всех развитых странах мира. Приведены принципы гармонизации HP, направления совершенствования правового регулирования и основные положения гармонизированных стандартов, разработанных Европейским институтом стандартов электросвязи (ЕТСИ) для терминалов ФСС и ПСС. Практически вся нормативная база использует технологию VSAT. Показана возможность использования этих стандартов в России. Книга может быть полезной специалистам, занимающимся вопросами системного проектирования, разработки, внедрения, эксплуатации ЗС и терминалов спутниковой связи, сетевым операторам, спутниковым операторам, разработчикам стандартов, а также специалистам регуляторных органов, решающим вопросы совершенствования нормативно-правовой базы

Аннотация: Solar radiation was measured during three months in the summer of 1961 by means of Bellani pyranometers below the canopy of three balsam fir stands, one unthinned and two recently thinned, in Quebec. Observations were made at three randomly selected stations representing average values at each plot. Radiation available below canopy was related to physical dimensions of stands. The average solar radiation beneath fir canopies showed values of 6,8, and 10 per cent of that in the open for stands of 7,600, 5,900, and 4,489 inches of stem density, respectively. Variations in the amount of solar radiation in the open did not change the average percentage of open radiation in the stands. However, with increasing amounts of radiation in the open the scatter of values around the mean percentage of open radiation decreased. It was estimated that thinnings that removed 12 and 36 per cent of the original stand basal area had the immediate effect of increasing the radiation intensity by 25 and 50 per cent.

Аннотация: Watershed research begun in 1960, with initial emphasis placed upon instrumentation of experimental basins. Marmot Creek Basin was selected to study the hydrology of spruce-fir forest. In late 1962, the first streamgauge was constructed, following installation of five meteorological stations earlier in the year. During 1963, meteorological instrumentation was expanded and additional controls installed on the three main tributary streams. Basin inventory, comprising soil and geophysical survey, habitat-type mapping, timber inventory and improved aerial photography was begun. Groundwater measurements is envisaged.Then a second experimental basin has been chosen. The hydrology of montane trembling aspen forests and associated grasslands will be studied there, through instrumentation emplaced in 1964. Other basins with lodgepole pine cover will be selected in 1964. Meteorological and hydrometric networks are simultaneousley being critically examined and improved. Studies to establish the relationships between various environmental and biological factors have commenced. Land classification methods have been explored. Studies to classify surficial deposits on the basis of relative susceptibility to erosion when disturbed by logging have followed.

Аннотация: Inventories of the cone crop in the vicinity of meteorological stations in southern Sweden were made in the years 1973-1975. Correlations between cone crop and the following variables for the year of flower primordia initiation-cone crop, some temperature variables and precipitation- were studied briefly. The investigation revealed that high temperature during the middle or end of June provokes increased flowering, on the condition that the cone crop during year of flower primordia initiation is scanty. High precipitation during June may have a negative effect on the flowering.

Аннотация: Mean temperatures for the normal period (1961-1990) from 513 stations in Sweden, together with their geographical positions, are used to derive temperature sums and average length of their growing season for different threshold values as functions of latitude and altitude. Maps are drawn showing the distribution of these temperature indices. Swedish regional average forest yield is well correlated with the temperature sums for the threshold value 5 degrees C (Pearson correlation coefficient: 0.89). Solar radiation data for the period 1983-91 from 14 stations in Sweden are used to estimate global radiation reaching the earth's surface during clear days and during days irrespective of cloudiness. This data set is also used to derive global radiation sums expressed as functions of latitude and altitude. Correlations for an approximate adjustment of temperature indices to the soil surface level and with respect to local continentality/ maritimity are proposed. The solar radiation on slopes has been calculated for various inclinations and azimuths.
