Аннотация: Situated in the southeastern outskirts of the town of Eger, the clay pit of the Wind brickworks is a vast exposure well visible even from a distance of several kilometres. The general dip of its sedimentary series is south-southeasterly; hence the oldest strata are exposed in the northern corner of the pit and the younger ones towards the south. Many layers contain plant remains which may, particularly in the younger layers, locally attain so graet an abandance that the individual fossils cannot even be seperated from one another. This circumstance renders their study fairly difficult on occasion
