Аннотация: The effect of wind on the accuracy of tree height measurements by the parallax method is discussed. The magnitude of errors attributable to sway of the tree crown is illustrated and the results of tests to determine how much sway was likely to prevail are given. The conditions under which significant errors could develop and extent to which they can be minimized are discussed briefly.
