Аннотация: The book is the first detailed treatment of the chemical ecology of arthropod defences. Viewing these invertebrates as natural products chemists "par exelence", the author provides detailed descriptions of the chemical defences of scorpions, spiders, centipedes, millipedes,daddy longlegs, and various insects; he presents each compound, along with its structure, molecular weight, arthropod distribution, glandular sources, and appropriate comments.
