Аннотация: The study had three aims: 1. Todescribe a procedure for measuring basic needles dimensions on transverse sections, and to assess sources of error associated with it. 2. To discover to what extent the application of mineral nutrients affects the basic dimensions of Scots pine needles. 3. To establish relationships between a radily measured character, such as needle length, and the volume, total and projected area of individual needles.
