European pine shoot moth -- pine plantations -- distribution -- measirements -- larvae

Аннотация: Adults of the European pine shoot moth normally fly only during the evening. Male flight is associated with the search for a female for mating, and follows a characteristic weaving pattern, orientated upwind, and directed by an odour emanating from females ready for capulation. Female flight is a normal component of oviposition behaviour and generally occurs only after mating has taken place. Flight by mated females is the main contributory factor to the natural dispersal of the population.
