Аннотация: This volume deals with the evolution of the thorax throughout the class Insecta,understanding of phylogenetic relationships of groups, and terminologies proposed by Hennig.The material on which the present work is based has been derived mainly from published works, although a considerable number of actual dissections were necessary to fill the gaps in knowledge. The last careful search of literature was made in the summer of 1968.
