    Spatial and temporal anomalies of chlorophyll concentration in Atlantic ocean (by space-based data)

Аннотация: The work presents long-standing CZCS-satellite-based data about spatial distribution of anomalies in chlorophyll concentration and temperature of the ocean. An anomaly criterion is proposed. Maps of Atlantic ocean areas with elevated probability of anomalies are given. Properties of anomalous zones in different parts of the Atlantic ocean are discussed. Satellite-based maps of anomaly coefficients for chlorophyll concentration and temperature in the Atlantic ocean have been shown to feature substantial differences, the zones of elevated anomaly of chlorophyll concentration and temperature - to be close only in the vicinity of the Amazon outflow into the Atlantic ocean. Along with fundamental knowledge about dynamics of biological phenomena in the ocean the methods described may be used to reveal deviations due to anthropogenic impact. The methods presented may be used to process SeaWiFS prograna data. The data derived may be used to analyze long-standing time series to estimate randomness of cunent changes. В©2002 COSPAR. Аннотация: The new data on anomalies in seasonal dynamics of chlorophyll concentration in the ocean have altered the approach to the analysis of long-term trends of phytopigments in the surface layer of the ocean. Zones have been found in which at various times there was a many-fold increase in chlorophyll concentration versus its usual level. These changes are local in time and space. If anomalies in the long-term tendencies in the change of phytopigment surface distribution in the ocean are ignored in the analysis, the resulting picture will inadequately reflect the real processes. The work presents the results of the analysis of long-term trends of chlorophyll concentration on the basis of the CZCS satellite data in the Atlantic Ocean. The results are given as maps representing different variants of trends. The data obtained can be used to analyze the consequences of long-term changes of climate and changes in the interaction between the atmosphere and the ocean. В©2002 COSPAR. Аннотация: Deep insight into types of vegetation variability provided by AVHRR space scanner images of vegetation index spatial distribution helps reveal impact of land surface changes on environment. The Institute of Computational Modeling SB RAS has developed nonparametric algorithms of automatic to classify and recognize patterns of these images which helped to reveal: (1) major variability types (generally connected); (2) areas belonging to small classes, which can be used to reveal deviations from 'normal' (e.g., forest fires, etc.); (3) deviation from a certain type of dynamics indicative of changes in condition of plants, which can be used to diagnose pathology at early stages; (4) impact of economical activities on vegetation in Norilsk area. The authors provide biological interpretation of the satellite data. Computer-animated dynamics and color maps are presented.     Long-wave instability of a plane multicomponent mixture layer with the Soret effect

Аннотация: Long-wave instability that arises in a plane multicomponent mixture layer with the Soret effect is investigated. The layer is heated from above or below in the gravity field. The solution of the linearized equations of motion is sought in the form of a series in powers of the wave number assumed to be small. For the mixture with an arbitrary number of components the critical parameters of instability are determined. For binary and ternary mixtures the stability maps are plotted. The regions where the long- and short wave perturbations are the most dangerous are distinguished in the space of physical parameters. The analytical results are compared with the numerical solution of the linearized equations over a wide wave number range. As an example, instability in a ternary hydrocarbon mixture is considered.

This paper presents methodology for performing seismic microzonation using geographic information system (GIS) at each step. This methodology assumes creating 3D models of the site and computation seismic intensity in each point of site. Using GIS technology greatly facilitates and accelerates the creation of seismic hazard maps which are the final result of work.

Аннотация: We studied the model to figure out the factors that may affect and retard the development of Alzheimer’s disease. The experimental rats have been kept in two kinds of environment: standard one vs. enriched one, and amiloid protein has been injected to both groups of rats to simulate Alzheimer’s disease. It is found the enriched environment is the key factor to retard the development of neurodegenerative disorder. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2016.

    Modeling and forecasting of well-being using fuzzy cognitive maps

Аннотация: In this paper we address the problem of modeling and forecasting of wellbeing. First, we apply a graph-based model of a Fuzzy cognitive map to discover cause-and-effect relationships among indicators of well-being. Second, the discovered model is applied to forecast the future state of well-being. The model is constructed using historical multivariate time series containing six consolidated indexes that represent well-being on the considered territory. Experiments with real-world data provided evidence for the usefulness of the proposed approach. Moreover, the interpretation of the obtained FCM graph led to the discovery of unknown dependencies within the data. The analysis of the unknown dependencies requires further research. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2016.

Аннотация: Results of long-term hydrobiological monitoring for the Yenisei river section from the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station dam to the village Zotino (Turukhansk district of the Krasnoyarsk region) are considered. Researching of zoobenthos showed significant changes of its structure after the Krasnoyarsk HPP dam construction. In particular, the proportion of amphipods (crustaceans) in the zoobenthos biomass increased by 10 times. In the expeditionary studies, seven species of amphipods were identified, but it should be noted that only two species develop and clearly dominate among them. Data obtained during the hydrobiological research formed the basis of geospatial database developed as a result of the work. The geospatial database with the observation results is available in the ICM SB RAS geoportal. The geoportal services provide data visualization in the form of interactive thematic maps, information about the objects on the map as "tooltips", information downloading in tabular form, direct access to the data through the web mapping services. Information and analytical support for the monitoring system based on the considered approach can simplify access to the needed information, provide new opportunities for analysis and modeling, promote the development of cross-disciplinary researches. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2016.

Аннотация: The largest part of solid minerals (with the exception of those which are at the earth's surface) is being extracted world-wide by surface and underground mining techniques, with adits, mines and other mine workings being used. A considerable amount of mineral deposits (including oil reservoirs) is located either close to a fault-line or immediately within the zone of high seismic activity. To prevent economic and environmental damage under the effect of an earthquake, thorough seismic monitoring of the area must be performed, as well as the study of all possible mechanisms of an earthquake occurrence. In analysing the trigger effect of moon-and sun-induced tidal forces on seismic activity, six great earthquakes which occurred close to equatorial latitude over the last 15 years have been considered. Based on the positions of the Sun and Moon during the day relative to the point mass, the maps of horizontal, vertical components and vector of gravitational forces per unit mass have been plotted. The developed technique can be applicable to a set of methods to study integration and stress unloading mechanisms at the boundaries of block structures.

Аннотация: Изучено современное состояние сообществ эндемичных байкальских амфипод в р. Енисей на участке от плотины Красноярской ГЭС до устья р. Ангары. На основе данных многолетних экспедиционных исследований сформирована геопространственная база данных с результатами наблюдений, которая размещена на геопортале ИВМ СО РАН в отдельном тематическом разделе. Сервисы геопортала предоставляют возможности визуализации данных в виде интерактивных тематических карт и прямого доступа к данным через картографические вебсервисы из современных ГИС. Использование методов геоинформационного и картографического моделирования в анализе пространственного распределения байкальских амфипод помогает в поиске взаимосвязей с различными факторами природной среды, обеспечивает проведение качественных и количественных оценок различных параметров.
The current condition of endemic Baikal amphipod communities in the part of the river Yenisei from the dam of Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station to the mouth of the river Angara was studied. On the basis of data of long-term field researches geospatial database with results of observations was formed. This database is located on the geoportal of the Institute of Computational Modeling SB RAS on the separate topic section. Purpose. The purpose of this study is a theoretical and practical research on the opportunities of using modern GIS technologies to improve the efficiency of hydrobiological monitoring, to design software tools for web mapping and data analysis of field researches. Methods. Firstly, construction technologies of distributed informational systems in multitier architecture, program interfaces and protocols, standards of information exchange were observed according to the considered class of problems. Secondly, there were studied the abilities of these methods of geoinformation and cartographic modelling in the analysis of spatial distribution of Baikal amphipods - in the search of interrelations to different factors of the environment, qualitative and quantitative evaluation of various parameters. Results. The present study has an interdisciplinary character. On one hand, it contains the results of the hydrobiological research, connected with the determination of production potential of fish forage resources in the part of the Yenisei river from the dam of Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station to the mouth of the river Angara. On the other hand, the result of the completed work is the formation of program-technological support of the hydrobiological monitoring system by the example of Yenisei zoobenthos, the development of geospatial database and the thematic section in the geoportal of the Institute of Computational Modeling SB RAS. Geoportal services provide data visualization in the form of interactive thematic maps and the instant access to the data through the cartographic web-services of modern GIS. Conclusion. Modern GIS web-systems and technologies have ample opportunities, which can significantly improve the efficiency of hydrobiological monitoring. Information and analytical support of the monitoring system, based on the considered approach, can simplify the access to the necessary information, provide new opportunities for analysis and modelling and can promote the development of interdisciplinary studies.

Аннотация: It was shown the technique of seismic hazard assessment based on comprehensive use of methods of seismic microzonation. This technique consists of four steps. The first step is to collect geological, seismological, geophysical and topographic information. Each layer according to geological engineering survey and geophysical work are assigned physical and mechanical properties (density, limit shear stress) and the P-And S- wave velocity. Next (step 2) after visualization and examination input data using GIS technologies 3D modelling of the geological environment is performed (it is created a grid each point of which is referred to coordinates of the site). The number and depth of soil are set in each point based on geological drilling data. Then (step 3) at each point seismic intensity are calculated using instrumental methods including the method of acoustic impedance and computer simulation (GRUNT program). At the last stage according to the analysis of the results of theoretical and instrumental methods seismic microzonation map are created using GIS technologies. The procedure of constructing maps uses different methods of selection areas with the same seismic hazard (kriging, spline interpolation).

Аннотация: The current state of endemic Baikal amphipods in the Yenisei river, and the results of expeditionary research are discussed. Reusable increasing the density of amphipods in the Yenisei river after the water regulation by the dam of the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station is noted. The data of hydrobiological monitoring has been designed in the form of geoportal geospatial database, which provides visualization of research results as interactive thematic maps along with direct access to data via web mapping services from GIS software.

Аннотация: Рассмотрены методы создания многослойных картографических изображений в геоинформационной веб-системе, при этом формируемая карта может содержать набор растровых и векторных тематических слоев геоданных, дополнительные информационно-справочные слои изображений снизу (подложка) и сверху (поверх) тематических данных пользователя: собственные картографические подложки, карты-схемы сторонних сервисов, надписи наименований географических объектов. Предложена настройка параметров представления данных, предусматривающая следующие возможности: выбор формата геоданных на клиенте (векторный или растровый); управление различными параметрами отображения (интерактивная легенда, перечень полей, отображаемых в таблицах атрибутики); использование настраиваемых шаблонов для отображения табличной информации по объектам слоя; управление правами доступа к данным - от визуализации слоя или карты через веб-браузер до предоставления доступа через картографические веб-сервисы WMS/WFS (Web Map Service / Web Feature Service); редактирование через веб-интерфейс или загрузки в виде шейп-файлов. The article discusses methods for creating multi-layered map images in the geographic information web system. The generated map can contain a set of raster and vector thematic layers of geographic data, additional information and reference image layers as background and above picture for thematic data of the user, such as imagery mosaics, base maps of third-party services, and the labels of geographical object names. The client software provides the interactivity of maps produced in a standard web browser. Data view settings provides the ability to select the format of the client spatial data (vector or raster), to control various display options (interactive legend, a list of fields that appear in the tables of attributes). You can also use custom templates to display tabular information on layer objects. Implemented software can manage the access rights to the spatial data. You can grant access to the visualization layer or map through a web browser, using web mapping services WMS/WFS (Web Map Service / Web Feature Service), editing through the web interface or download the Shapefile. An integral part of web thematic maps based on geoportal is a customizable service for rasterization and caching of data, which provides a noticeable performance increase for “heavy” multi-layer maps. Also worth mentioning is the set of base maps specially prepared for the geoportal, including imagery mosaics, digital elevation models and ability to work with third-party web mapping services.

Аннотация: В данной работе было проверено, является ли семикластерная структура, обнаруженная у бактерий, универсальной и наблюдаются ли все обнаруженные свойства такой структуры для других геномов. Исследована внутренняя структурированность геномов хлоропластов и цианобактерий, показано, что эта структурированность существенно отличается от ранее обнаруженной для бактериальных геномов. Под структурированностью понимается кластеризация частотных словарей триплетов отдельных фрагментов генома, определяемых регулярным порядком, вне зависимости от функциональной роли того или иного участка. Кластеризация проводилась методом упругих карт.
It is tested whether seven-cluster genome structure, detected in bacteria, is a universal one and whether all of its observed properties pertain to other genomes. Inner structuring of chloroplasts' and cyano-bacteria's genome is studied, and it is found out that this structuring notably differs from what was earlier discovered in bacterial genomes. By structuring it is meant the clasterization of triplet frequency dictionary developed for different genome fragments which have regular allocation, independent of the fragment function. The clasterization has been executed by the method of elastic maps.

Аннотация: This paper touches upon the experience of research and development of hardware and software for air pollution monitoring of industrial cities, carried out at the Institute of Computational Modeling of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Functional possibilities, architectural features, and user interface of the distributed web geographic information system of ecological monitoring of the city of Krasnoyarsk, which is being developed in service-oriented architecture, are discussed. Data are collected from automated posts for observing the state of atmospheric air and services of aggregation and representation of information in the form of interactive graphs and thematic maps in the web interface. An original device is developed for measuring the pollution level of the atmosphere with fine dust (PM2.5), the data from which is fed in real time to the system via a cellular network. A system is formed for integral assessment of the pollution level of the atmosphere based on Air Quality Index (AQI) calculations.
