    Решение задачи на ассимиляцию данных наблюдений для уравнений мелкой воды на SMP-узловых кластерах

Аннотация: Задача для уравнений мелкой воды ставится в области произвольной формы на сфере с достаточно гладкой границей. Граница области состоит из «твердых» участков - береговой линии и «жидких» участков - граница по морю. На части «жидкой» границы известны данные наблюдений за свободной поверхностью. В общем случае граничные условия на «жидкой» границе содержат граничную функцию, которую следует найти вместе с неизвестными задачи – скоростями и возвышением свободной поверхности. В области поставлена задача на ассимиляцию данных наблюдений, для решения которой используются методы оптимизации и теории управления. Рассмотрено два семейства задач оптимального управления для отыскания минимума в некоторой норме погрешности между искомым возвышением свободной поверхности и наблюденным с регуляризацией. Построен итерационный численный метод восстановления граничной функции и, следовательно, решения обратной задачи в области. Метод состоит в итерационном уточнении граничной функции путем численного решения последовательно прямой и сопряженной задач. Численное решение прямой и сопряженных задач основано на методе конечных элементов, для чего реализовано параллельное ПО с использованием технологий MPI. Cопоставлена эффективность двух широко распространенных реализаций стандарта MPI, исследовано поведение нашего ПО при использовании различных способов выделения памяти.

Аннотация: The ill-posed inverse problem of propagation of long waves in a domain of arbitrary form with the sufficiently smooth boundary on a sphere is consider. Numerical solution is based on finite elements method. Parallel software using MPI is performed. We compared efficiency of two popular implementations of the MPI standard and studied the behavior of our software when using various ways of memory allocation.

    Computational modeling of the waves propagation in a block medium with viscoelastic interlayers

Аннотация: In the framework of mathematical model of a block medium with elastic blocks interacting through compliant viscoelastic interlayers and its approximation on the basis of equations of the Cosserat continuum, the problems of periodic perturbation of a layer and of a half-space under the action of distributed and localized surface loads are solved numerically. The simple formulas are suggested to determine the elasticity coefficients of the moment continuum by given characteristics of the materials of blocks and interlayers, which provide a good correspondence of the wave fields received by means of the exact and approximate models. Parallel computational algorithms, based on models of the inhomogeneous elasticity theory and the Cosserat elasticity theory, are applied to the analysis of propagation of elastic waves in geomaterials with layered and block microstructure. These algorithms are realized as parallel program systems for GPUs (using CUDA technology) and for multiprocessor computers of the cluster type (using MPI library). Monotone grid-characteristic schemes with a balanced number of time steps in elastic layers or blocks and in viscoelastic interlayers are used. By the analysis of numerical solutions it is shown that the multiblock medium has a resonant frequency of rotational motion of blocks, and this frequency does not depend on the size of a massif and on the boundary conditions at its surface.

Аннотация: The parallel computational algorithm for analysis of the processes of elastic-plastic deformation of a porous medium under the action of external dynamic loads is developed. This algorithm is based on the mathematical model taking into account threshold nature of change in the strength of a material under the collapse of pores. The algorithm is implemented in Fortran by means of functions of the MPI library. The parallel program system has been tested on clusters in computations of the propagation of plane longitudinal shock waves of the compression and in computations of the expansion of a cylindrical cavity in an infinite porous medium. The comparison of numerical results and exact solutions has shown their good qualitative and quantitative correspondence. Using the obtained algorithm, the process of propagation of elastic-plastic waves of the compression in a homogenous porous medium, accompanied by the deformation of a skeleton and the collapse of pores, is analyzed.

Аннотация: Analysis of oscillation processes in a blocky medium is fulfilled using models, wherein elastic blocks interact via inter-layers with different mechanical properties. To describe wave processes, three different models are applied. First model considers elastic interaction between blocks; second one is the viscoelastic Pointing-Thomson model, that combines both Maxwell and Kelvin-Voigt models, and third one, named as the model with a rigid contact, excludes a possibility of blocks interpenetration. The dissipationless Ivanov scheme is applied in interlayers, while in blocks the Godunov gap decay scheme is used. It is shown that additional enclosing equations, which guarantee absence of energy dissipation in the Ivanov scheme, provide thermodynamic consistency of the model, meaning that the difference analogue of the energy conservation law for blocky structures is performed. Using the MPI technology, a parallel software is designed for simulation of the elastic waves propagation in a two-dimensional blocky medium. © 2016 Author(s).

Аннотация: The wave processes in blocky media are analyzed by applying different mathematical models, wherein the elastic blocks interact with each other via pliant interlayers with the complex mechanical properties. Four versions of constitutive equations are considered. In the first version, an elastic interaction between the blocks is simulated within the framework of linear elasticity theory, and the model of elastic–plastic interlayers is constructed to take into account the appearance of irreversible deformation of interlayers at short time intervals. In the second one, the effects of viscoelastic shear in the interblock interlayers are taken into the consideration using the Poynting–Thomson rheological scheme. In the third option, the model of an elastic porous material is used in the interlayers, where the pores collapse if an abrupt compressive stress is applied. In the fourth case, the model of a fluid-saturated material with open pores is examined based on Biot's equations. The collapse of pores is modeled by the generalized rheological approach, wherein the mechanical properties of a material are simulated using four rheological elements. Three of them are the traditional elastic, viscous and plastic elements, the fourth element is the so-called rigid contact, which is used to describe the behavior of materials with the different resistance to tension and compression. It was shown that the thermodynamically consistent model is provided, which means that the energy balance equation is fulfilled for an entire blocky structure, where the kinetic and potential energy of the system is the sum of the kinetic and potential energies of the blocks and interlayers. Under numerical implementation of the interlayers models, the dissipationless finite difference Ivanov's method was used. The splitting method by spatial variables in the combination with the Godunov gap decay scheme was applied in the blocks. As a result, robust and stable computational algorithms are built and tested. Using MPI technology, the parallel software was designed for the modeling of wave processes in 2D setting. The numerical results are presented, discussed and future studies are outlined. © 2017 Elsevier Inc.

We present the algorithm from family of semi-Lagrangian methods for the advection problem. The algorithm is based on the integral balance equation for the cubic neighborhood of a grid node. The algorithm is of the first-order accuracy. Numerical experiments confirm the suitability of the proposed scheme.
