    Numerical Simulation the Periodic Operating Regime of HRE with MHD Control

Аннотация: Nowadays both in Russia and abroad active research has been conducted on developing perspective hypersonic aerospace aircraft. The developing of such aircraft would allow to essentially expand aircraft possibilities and to reduce delivery cost of goods to the near-earth orbit. In many countries of the world there are programs of creation of hypersonic aircraft such as: HOTOL in Great Britain, NASP in USA, HERMES in France. One of key while conducting these projects is the creation of a hypersonic ramjet engine having necessary propulsive, mass and dimensional characteristics with all altitude range and flight velocities of an aircraft. The basic difficulties, in development of such engine types are caused by substantial of deterioration of quality of fuel mixture with an oxidant under supersonic flow velocities in the combustion chamber, which results in decrease of an engine efficiency and deterioration of its propulsion. To increase the efficiency of HRE with the supersonic flow velocity in the combustion chamber the authors offered MHD control of gas flow in the channel HRE based on creation in a stream of local plasma areas with temperature 104 K interacting with an external magnetic field [1], [2]. The work presents investigation results for the structure of non-stationary gas-dynamic flow in the channel HRE with MHD - control. It also describes the calculation of propulsion performance characteristics of the given engine on the basis of mathematical simulation of processes, which take place in the channel of an engine. Thee work objective was the research of non-stationary periodic flow with heat application in the tract HRE with MHD - control on the basis of mathematical modeling of processes which take place in the channel of an engine and the calculation of propulsion performance characteristics of an engine. In the work the model HRE including the air intake, MHD - channel and nozzle was considered. The MHD - channel is made of two flat electrodes and sidewalls from a dielectric. The local constant flow heat permitting to create periodical local plasma areas (T- layer) is provided with the systems of initiation the constant magnetic field in the volume of the channel is ensured with an external magnetic system.

Аннотация: In the studied water bodies of the northeast of the Western Siberia, Bacillariophyta dominates the flora of planktonic organisms by species abundance. Among them, class Pennatophyceae is distinguished by the highest species richness. The first electron microscopic studies of pennate diatom algae allowed obtaining complete data on the species composition of Pennatophyceae at the modern level. Discovered were 213 taxa from 53 genera, including 98 new to the region, 56 new and rare to the flora of Russia, and forms identified only to the genus. The taxonomy of the genera Nitzchia, Stauroneis, Pinnularia, and Navicula s.s. is the richest.

Аннотация: In a brackish, temperate, 24-m-deep Lake Shira, the profiles of salinity, temperature, oxygen and sulfide concentrations were measured on a seasonal basis from 2002 to 2009. The lake was shown to be meromictic with autumnal overturn restricted to mixolimnion. The depth of mixolimnion and position of oxic-anoxic interface varied annually. The spring mixing processes contribute to the formation of mixolimnion in autumn. The exceptionally windy spring of 2007 caused the deepening of mixolimnion in the winter of 2008. The winter position of oxic-anoxic interface was affected by the position of lower boundary of mixolimnion in all winters. The salinity in the winter mixolimnion increased compared with the autumn because of freezing out of salts from the upper water layers meters during ice formation and their dissolution in water below. The profiles of salinity and temperature were simulated by the mathematical 1-D model of temperature and salinity conditions taking into account ice formation. The simulated profiles generally coincided with the measured ones. The coincidence implies that simplified one-dimensional model can be applied to roughly describe salinity and density profiles and mixing behavior of Lake Shira.

Аннотация: A system of sustainable water management is suggested. This includes natural water production; acceptable sanitary-epidemiological water state; conservation and maintenance of biological water diversity; development of socioeconomic functions of water management; and instruments for water policy to conserve sustainable management of water consumption and protect consumers from injurious water effects. The developed system was applied to analyse the situation in the Yenisei River basin (Russia). Analysis in the basin showed that it is currently unsustainable: the share of purified water has not increased; water cost per unit production is high; the quality of water in the Yenisei River is still characterised as 'polluted'; some people in the basin drink water containing injurious substances; and both purification facilities and water supply systems are in an unsatisfactory state. Hence, the financing of hydrological work is currently inadequate.

Аннотация: The paper shows the efficiency of an application of the vegetation index image time series to determine long-term vegetation dynamics. The influence of large industrial centers of Siberia on the near-by vegetation is demonstrated. The analysis of the data shows that the influence of industrial waste is stronger in the Siberian North. These regions are characterized by critical conditions for vegetation existence. In the south of the Krasnoyarsk region, human impact is also important, but the possibility of vegetation self-rehabilitation is higher. The present-day economic situation in Russia is unique, with a temporary abrupt fall of industrial production and its following increase. Аннотация: The role of the dawn-dusk magnetic field component in stabilizing of the magnetotail flapping oscillations is investigated in the double-gradient model framework (Erkaev et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 99, 235003 (2007)), extended for the magnetotail-like configurations with non-zero guide field By. Contribution of the guide field is examined both analytically and by means of linearized 2-dimensional (2D) and non-linear 3-dimensional (3D) MHD modeling. All three approaches demonstrate the same properties of the instability: stabilization of current sheet oscillations for short wavelength modes, appearing of the typical (fastest growing) wavelength lambda(peak) of the order of the current sheet width, decrease of the peak growth rate with increasing B-y value, and total decay of the mode for B-y similar to 0: 5 in the lobe magnetic field units. Analytical solution and 2D numerical simulations claim also the shift of lambda(peak) toward the longer wavelengths with increasing guide field. This result is barely visible in 3D simulations. It may be accounted for the specific background magnetic configuration, the pattern of tail-like equilibrium provided by approximated solution of the conventional Grad-Shafranov equation. The configuration demonstrates drastically changing radius of curvature of magnetic field lines, R-c. This, in turn, favors the "double-gradient" mode (lambda R-c) in one part of the sheet and classical "ballooning" instability (lambda R-c) in another part, which may result in generation of a "combined" unstable mode. Аннотация: By considering martian-like planetary embryos inside the habitable zone of solar-like stars we study the behaviour of the hydrodynamic atmospheric escape of hydrogen for small values of the Jeans escape parameter beta < 3, near the base of the thermosphere, that is defined as a ratio of the gravitational and thermal energy. Our study is based on a 1D hydrodynamic upper atmosphere model that calculates the volume heating rate in a hydrogen-dominated thermosphere due to the absorption of the stellar soft X-ray and extreme ultraviolet (XUV) flux. In case of a monatomic gas, we find that when the beta value near the mesopause/homopause level exceeds a critical value of similar to 2.5, there exists a steady hydrodynamic solution with a smooth transition from subsonic to supersonic flow. For a fixed XUV flux, the escape rate of the upper atmosphere is an increasing function of the temperature at the lower boundary. Our model results indicate a crucial enhancement of the atmospheric escape rate, when the Jeans escape parameter beta decreases to this critical value. When beta becomes <= 2.5, there is no stationary hydrodynamic transition from subsonic to supersonic flow. This is the case of a fast non-stationary atmospheric expansion that results in extreme thermal atmospheric escape rates.

Аннотация: This article presents the dominant species and groups and the spatial distribution and structural indices of benthic communities in small mountain streams located on the territory of the Ergaki Nature Park (in the south of Krasnoyarsk krai). A comparative analysis of bioindicators and metrics, a part of which is used by the European Water Framework Directive to determine water quality, was carried out. It was established that the EPT, BMWP, and IBGN indices have the highest sensitivity, which allows one to recommend their use as standard indices for assessing water quality in the small mountain rivers of the given region. By ranking the obtained biotic indices and metrics with respect to background values, the gradations of water quality were determined and the integral index was introduced.

Аннотация: We consider a semi-Lagrangian algorithm and formulate the basic equality for a local temporal-spatial domain. This equality involves integrals over domains at neighboring temporal levels. To get the numerical scheme, we approximate each component of the equality within second-order accuracy. To compute an integral at the previous time level, we make the change of variables. After that the quadrature formulas are implemented with nodes and weights defined with the help of the Cauchy problem for a system of ordinary differential equations.

Аннотация: Wave processes in blocky media with a large number of elastic blocks, interacting through compliant interlayers, are described by the equations of a piecewise-homogeneous isotropic elastic medium and by the equations of an orthotropic Cosserat continuum. Parallel program systems for numerical implementation of 2D dynamic problems on wave propagation in blocky media are worked out. Computations demonstrating the anisotropy of a blocky medium even for a sufficiently small thickness of interlayers were performed on supercomputers with cluster architecture.

Аннотация: Mathematical model for the description of deformation of a porous metal is constructed on the basis of generalized rheological method, taking into account change in the resistance to external loads, when the collapse of pores occurs. Irreversible deformation is described with the help of yield condition, modeling the plastic loss of stability of a porous skeleton. For a homogeneous porous medium the fields of displacements and stresses in the problem of radial expansion of spherical and cylindrical cavities under the action of internal pressure considering the effect of collapse of pores are constructed in closed form. The algorithm of numerical realization of the model of dynamic deformation of metal foams on multiprocessor computer systems of the cluster type is worked out.

Аннотация: Interactions of pulsed laser radiation with resonance domains of multiparticle colloidal aggregates having an increasingly complex local environment are studied via an optodynamic model. The model is applied to the simplest configurations, such as single particles, dimers, and trimers consisting of mono- and polydisperse Ag nanoparticles. We analyze how the local environment and the associated local field enhancement by surrounding particles affect the optodynamic processes in domains, including their photomodification and optical properties.

Аннотация: A nonstationary three-dimensional magnetogasdynamics (MGD) model is used to study the dynamics of a current layer interacting with a transverse magnetic field in a supersonic argon flow through a channel of constant cross section. The MGD interaction regimes and the features of the current layer formation for various external resistances and channel widths are analyzed as based on numerical results.

Аннотация: Conditions have been studied under which a polychromatic optical superlattice can form and trap the Coulomb cluster of two strongly interacting ions. In our previous work (Krasnov I V and Kamenshchikov L P 2014 Opt. Comm. 312 192) this new all-optical method of obtaining and confining the Coulomb clusters was demonstrated by numerical simulations for special values of the optical superlattice parameters and in the case of Yb ions. In the present paper the conditions are explicitly formulated, under which the long-lived two-ion cluster in the superlattice cell is formed. The peculiarity of these conditions is the renormalization of the ion-ion Coulomb interaction. Notably, the renormalized Coulomb force is determined by the effective charge which depends on the light field parameters and can strongly differ from the "bare" ion charge. This result can be accounted for by the combined manifestation of the quantum fluctuations of optical forces, nonlinear dependence of these forces on the velocity, and non-Maxwellian (Tsallis type) velocity distribution of the ions in the optical superlattice. Explicit analytical formulas are also obtained for the parameters of the optical two-ion cluster.

Аннотация: A mathematical model describing motion of an inhomogeneous incompressible fluid in a Hele-Shaw cell is considered. Linear stability analysis of shear flow class is provided. The role of inertia, linear friction and impermeable boundaries in Kelvin Helmholtz instability is studied. Hierarchy of simplified one-dimensional models of viscosity- and density stratified flows is obtained in long wave approximation. Аннотация: A mathematical model of the flow in a round submerged turbulent jet is considered. The model includes differential transport equations for the normal components of the Reynolds stress tensor and Rodi's algebraic approximations for shear stresses. A theoretical-group analysis of the examined model is performed, and a reduced self-similar system of ordinary differential equations is derived and solved numerically. It is shown that the calculated results agree with available experimental data.
