Аннотация: We revisit recent derivations of kinetic equations based on Tsallis' entropy concept. The method of kinetic functions is introduced as a standard tool for extensions of classical kinetic equations in the framework of Tsallis' statistical mechanics. Our analysis of the Boltzmann equation demonstrates a remarkable relation between thermodynamics and kinetics caused by the deformation of macroscopic observables.

    Multispeed models in off-lattice Boltzmann simulations

Аннотация: The lattice Boltzmann method is a highly promising approach to the simulation of complex flows. Here, we realize recently proposed multispeed lattice Boltzmann models [S. Chikatamarla et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 97 190601 (2006)] by exploiting the flexibility offered by off-lattice Boltzmann methods. The approach is based on the general characteristic-based algorithm for off-lattice Boltzmann simulations that preserves all appealing properties of the standard lattice Boltzmann method while extending the method to unstructured grids. We show that the use of multispeed models indeed gives rise to major improvements in accuracy. The suggested approach thus renders truly large-scale off-lattice Boltzmann computations practical.

Аннотация: The recently introduced lattice Boltzmann model for thermal flow simulation on a standard lattice [Prasianakis and Karlin, Phys. Rev. E 76, 016702 (2007)] is studied numerically in the case where compressibility effects are essential. It is demonstrated that the speed of sound and shock propagation are described correctly in a wide temperature range, and that it is possible to take into account additional physics such as heat sources and sinks. A remarkable simplicity of the model makes it viable for engineering applications in subsonic flows with large temperature and density variations.

    Hydrodynamics beyond Navier-Stokes: The slip flow model

Аннотация: Recently, analytical solutions for the nonlinear Couette flow demonstrated the relevance of the lattice Boltzmann (LB) models to hydrodynamics beyond the continuum limit [S. Ansumali et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 98, 124502 (2007)]. In this paper, we present a systematic study of the simplest LB kinetic equation—the nine-bit model in two dimensions—in order to quantify it as a slip flow approximation. Details of the aforementioned analytical solution are presented, and results are extended to include a general shear- and force-driven unidirectional flow in confined geometry. Exact solutions for the velocity, as well as for pertinent higher-order moments of the distribution functions, are obtained in both Couette and Poiseuille steady-state flows for all values of rarefaction parameter (Knudsen number). Results are compared with the slip flow solution by Cercignani, and a good quantitative agreement is found for both flow situations. Thus, the standard nine-bit LB model is characterized as a valid and self-consistent slip flow model for simulations beyond the Navier-Stokes approximation.

    BiNoM: a Cytoscape plugin for manipulating and analyzing biological networks

Аннотация: BiNoM (Biological Network Manager) is a new bioinformatics software that significantly facilitates the usage and the analysis of biological networks in standard systems biology formats (SBML, SBGN, BioPAX). BiNoM implements a full-featured BioPAX editor and a method of ‘interfaces’ for accessing BioPAX content. BiNoM is able to work with huge BioPAX files such as whole pathway databases. In addition, BiNoM allows the analysis of networks created with CellDesigner software and their conversion into BioPAX format. BiNoM comes as a library and as a Cytoscape plugin which adds a rich set of operations to Cytoscape such as path and cycle analysis, clustering sub-networks, decomposition of network into modules, clipboard operations and others.

Аннотация: This paper presents the new technique of territory wellbeing estimation based on creation of a geographically-oriented wellbeing standard and estimation of the territory wellbeing level. The author proposes a method of wellbeing level estimation that provides the calculation of territory wellbeing index taking into account various aspects of vital activity and semantic interpretation of index values using fuzzy logic. The practical result of the work is an implementation of suggested solutions for social monitoring of the territory. © 2014 Springer International Publishing.

Аннотация: A study is made of a standard pickup preventing coating made from white synthetic aluminium oxide powder and polyvinylbutyral varnish and used for moulds and cores. With 1.5-1.6% of ultradispersed powder in place of white synthetic aluminum oxide, a new coating has been developed having a sedimentation stability of 89 against 70 for the standard coating. Casting surfaces of steel 35L show the roughness of the new coating of 185-190 be absent pickup throughout the casted sample. Members of steels 110G13L and 45L were also put through tests.

Аннотация: This article presents the dominant species and groups and the spatial distribution and structural indices of benthic communities in small mountain streams located on the territory of the Ergaki Nature Park (in the south of Krasnoyarsk krai). A comparative analysis of bioindicators and metrics, a part of which is used by the European Water Framework Directive to determine water quality, was carried out. It was established that the EPT, BMWP, and IBGN indices have the highest sensitivity, which allows one to recommend their use as standard indices for assessing water quality in the small mountain rivers of the given region. By ranking the obtained biotic indices and metrics with respect to background values, the gradations of water quality were determined and the integral index was introduced.

Аннотация: The development of simple and efficient model that correctly represent the important features of water is essential to overcome the limitations in time scale and system size currently encountered in atomistic molecular dynamics simulations. The proposed one site model includes Lennard-Jones interaction and the angular averaged dipole-dipole interaction. Experimental data of liquid water at various temperatures are used for parametrization of the model. The values of density were chosen as primary target properties. These properties cover a temperature range from 300 to 350 K and pressures up to 10.1 MPa. The model properties are compared with those obtained from experiment and from general purpose TIP4P/2005 model. The comparison shows that all chosen properties are quite well reproduced by the proposed model. Computational scheme that is used in simulations is also presented. The proposed water model repro- duces the key characteristics of liquid water while being computationally considerably more efficient than standard multi-site atomistic water models. The model is for use on large scale simulations of the fluid behavior in nanosized structures. © Siberian Federal University. All rights reserved.

Аннотация: Представлены доминирующие виды и группы, пространственное распределение и структурные показатели донных сообществ в малых горных водотоках, расположенных на территории природного парка “Ергаки” (юг Красноярского края). Выполнен сравнительный анализ биоиндикационных индексов и метрик, часть которых используется при определении качества воды Европейской Рамочной Водной Директивой. Установлено, что наиболее высокой чувствительностью обладают индексы <i>EPT, BMWP, IBGN</i>, что позволяет рекомендовать их как стандартные при оценке качества вод малых горных рек данного региона. Путем ранжирования полученных биотических индексов и метрик относительно фоновых значений определены градации качества вод и введен интегральный показатель.
The species composition, spatial distribution and structure coefficients of benthic communities in small mountain streams on the territory of the Ergaki nature park (the south of the Krasnoyarsk Krai) were characterized. The comparative analysis of biotic indices and metrics, some of which are used by the European Water Framework Directive to evaluate water quality, was carried out. It was determined that the <i>EPT</i>, <i>BMWP</i> and <i>IBGN</i> indices had greater sensitivity, therefore they could be recommended as the standard in the evaluation of water quality of small mountain streams of that region. The gradation of water quality was determined and the integrated index was introduced after the ranking of obtained biotic indices and metrics in comparison to the background value.

В качестве критерия эффективности использовано асимптотическое выражение среднеквадратического отклонения регрессионной оценки плотности вероятности.
The comparison procedure for the effectiveness of methods for discretization of the interval of values of a random variable at probability density estimation has been saggested. As an efficiency criterion the asymptotic expression of standard deviation of regression model of probability density has been used.

Аннотация: In the paper, a semi-Lagrangian approximation is presented for the numerical solution of the two-dimensional time-dependent Navier-Stokes equations for viscous heat-conducting gas. In each equation, a combination of three first-order derivatives describing the transfer of a corresponding substance (density, velocity components, or internal energy) along trajectories is interpreted as the "transfer derivative" in the transfer direction. The other terms of the equations are written in the Euler form. On the sought-for time level, the standard conforming finite element method is realized for them with the linear elements on triangles and the bilinear ones on rectangles. The stencil adaptation along trajectories enables us to avoid the Courant-Friedrichs-Lewy upper limit which describes the dependence of the time step on the mesh-size of the space triangulation. At the end of the paper, a numerical example illustrates the implementation of the described algorithms.

Аннотация: In the paper, a mathematical model and a numerical algorithm are proposed for modeling the complex of phenomena which accompany the passage of a friable asteroid-comet body through the Earth's atmosphere: the material ablation, the dissociation of molecules, and the radiation. The proposed model is constructed on the basis of the Navier-Stokes equations for viscous heat-conducting gas with an additional equation for the motion and propagation of a friable lumpy-dust material in air. The energy equation is modified for the relation between two its kinds: the usual energy of the translation of molecules (which defines the temperature and pressure) and the combined energy of their rotation, oscillation, electronic excitation, dissociation, and radiation. For the mathematical model of atmosphere, the distribution of density, pressure, and temperature in height is taken as for the standard atmosphere. An asteroid-comet body is taken initially as a round body consisting of a friable lumpy-dust material with corresponding density and significant viscosity which far exceed those for the atmosphere gas. A numerical algorithm is proposed for solving the initial-boundary problem for the extended system of Navier-Stokes equations. The algorithm is the combination of the semi-Lagrangian approximation for Lagrange transport derivatives and the conforming finite element method for other terms. The implementation of these approaches is illustrated by a numerical example.

Аннотация: При изготовлении конструкций летательных аппаратов из алюминиевых сплавов применяется сварка, физическая сущность которой заключается в получении неразъемного соединения путем расплавления и совместной кристаллизации материалов сварочного электрода и соединяемых деталей. Однако при этом структура сварного шва и соединяемых деталей в области влияния нагрева укрупняется, что приводит к уменьшению механических свойств сварного изделия. Известно, что металлоизделия с мелкокристаллической структурой обладают более высокими механическими свойствами по сравнению с крупнокристаллическими. При этом в практике литейного производства с целью измельчения структуры литых изделий применяется модифицирование, суть которого заключается во введении в жидкий металл с помощью лигатур веществ, служащих центрами кристаллизации. Однако возможности таких средств модифицирования достигли пределов, и в последние годы нашел применение новый способ модифицирования с использованием нанопорошков (НП) химических соединений (нитриды, карбиды, бориды, оксиды), который дает более высокий эффект повышения механических свойств литых изделий. Имея в виду тот факт, что механизмы кристаллизации литых изделий и сварного шва идентичны, технологию модифицирования жидких сплавов использовали для измельчения структуры сварного шва при изготовлении сварной конструкции летательного аппарата из листов на примере алюминиево-магниевого сплава АМг6 с применением сварочных прутков, содержащих НП. Результаты испытаний вырезанных из сваренной конструкции образцов показали, что s <sub>в</sub> металла в области сварного шва при сварке прутком, содержащим НП BN, составляет 333 МПа, LaB <sub>6</sub> - 338 МПа и TiCN - 345 МПа. Эти значения оказались соответственно выше на 4,1, 5,6 и 7,8 %, чем у образцов из сплава АМг6 (320 МПа), сваренных по стандартной технологии электродом из этого же сплава. Разработка защищена патентами Российской Федерации.
In the manufacture of aircraft structures made of aluminum alloys used is the welding, physical essence of which is to obtain a permanent connection by melting and co-crystallization of the welding electrode materials and parts to be joined. However, while the structure of the weld and the joined parts of the influence of heat coarsen, which leads to a reduction in the mechanical properties of the welded articles. It is known that metal with fine-grained structure has higher mechanical properties compared to coarse. Thus in practice, for the purpose of foundry castings structure refinement modification is used, the essence of which consists in introducing alloys into the liquid metal using substances which serve as crystallization centers. However, the possibility of modifying such agents has reached the limits in recent years and a new method of modifying the application using nanopowders (NP) chemical compounds (nitrides, carbides, borides, oxides), which gives a high effect of enhancing the mechanical properties of the molded articles has been found. It should be beared in mind that the mechanism of crystallization of molded articles and weld identical technology modifying liquid alloy was used to grind the weld structure in the manufacture of a welded structure of the aircraft from the example sheets of aluminum-magnesium alloy AMg6 with welding rods containing NP. The test results are cut from the welded structure samples showed that s metal at the weld joint during the welding rod comprising NP BN, is 333 MPa, LaB6 - 338 MPa, TiCN - 345 MPa. These values were higher than 4.1, respectively; 5.6 and 7.8 %, than the samples have AMg6 alloy (320 MPa), welded by the standard electrode of the same alloy. The development is protected by patents of the Russian Federation.

Аннотация: The article concluded probability distribution functions sum of the squares of the random variables in the non-zero expectations. The resulting distribution function is possible to create an efficient single-step phase ambiguity resolution algorithm in determining the spatial orientation of the signals of satellite radio navigation systems. Аннотация: We studied the model to figure out the factors that may affect and retard the development of Alzheimer’s disease. The experimental rats have been kept in two kinds of environment: standard one vs. enriched one, and amiloid protein has been injected to both groups of rats to simulate Alzheimer’s disease. It is found the enriched environment is the key factor to retard the development of neurodegenerative disorder. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2016.
