Аннотация: The phase, dispersive, and morphological features of an aluminum oxide powder produced by explosive synthesis are examined experimentally. It is shown that the particle-size distribution has three distinct maxima, which are due to different combustion regimes. The relationship between the sizes and morphology of the starting powder and the product is determined. Considerable attention is given to a study of the ultrafine fraction of the product powder. The ultrafine particles are shown to have a regular spherical shape, and sinters are not revealed. Besides spherical particles, the synthesized powder contains faceted crystals. X-ray phase analysis of the ultrafine fraction of the synthesized powders shows that this fraction consists only of the metastable phases of the oxide - the delta- or oxynitride modifications. The delta -modification differs from that described in the literature.

Аннотация: Two species "prey-predator model" where the individuals purposefully migrate between two habitats is considered. A migration is regarded as transference from one habitat to another yielding in maximization of average (over two habitats) coefficient of reproduction. Targeted migration results in the increase in average abundance of population comparing with discrete analogies of classic equations of Volterra and also to the enlargement of the area of the admissible meanings of parameters. A great variety of dynamic regimes has been observed, some of them could be interpreted as outbreak explosion.

Аннотация: We estimated the age and sedimentation rate of bottom sediments in Cheko Lake located in southern Evenkia, in the territory of Tunguska Nature Reserve, near the supposed epicenter of the so-called 1908 Tunguska Event. The vertical distributions of Cs-137 and Pb-210 activity and visually counted varves in the core of lake bottom sediments indicate that Cheko Lake is significantly older than the 1908 Tunguska Event; therefore, the lake basin cannot be a crater or a trace of the explosion as was supposed earlier by some researchers.

Аннотация: Abstract: An anomalous layer enriched with chemical elements indicating the presence of terrigenous matter was discovered in the sediment core of Zapovednoe Lake located 60 km from the epicenter of the Tunguska event (1908) using synchrotron radiation X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (SR–XRF). Radioisotope measurements indicate that the age of the layer is consistent with the date of the catastrophe. Apparently, the anomalous layer was formed as a result of an intense terrigenous matter inflow from the water catchment area due to massive forest falls and subsequent wildfires caused by the Tunguska event. Thus, it is established that targeted searches for microparticles of extraterrestrial origin can be carried out in the discovered and dated anomalous bottom sediment layer. © 2020, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
