Аннотация: Theoretical XAFS spectra of highly correlated copper oxides have been presented as a product of a single-electron part obtained by the SCF X alpha- SW method, and a multi-electron part obtained by the multi-band multi-electron p-d model. The main line of CuK-spectrum of La2CuO4 was aligned to the Cud(10) (L) under bar configuration and the single satellite line was aligned to the Cud(9). Comparison of the theoretical data with the experimental ones shows that the ground state of the two-holes in the CuO4 doped cell is triplet. The last conclusion has been confirmed by analysis of CuL2,3-spectra of two-hole impurity states of doped CuO4 cell. Another interesting future of CuL2,3-spectra a peak 2.8 eV higher the threshold was aligned to the transitions into quasi-stationary states due to existence of a high barrier in the Cud-state potential.

Аннотация: The effect of a high magnetic field on the electronic structure of HTSC cuprates is considered. The study is performed in the t-t'-taEuro(3)-J* model, and the high magnetic field effect is taken into account not only as the Zeeman splitting of the one-electron levels, but also in the occupation numbers of the states with different spin projections and in the formation of the spin correlation functions. The field is assumed to be high enough to align all of the spins along the field. As a result, the Fermi surface reconstruction is obtained from four hole pockets about the nodal point (pi/2, pi/2) in the paramagnetic phase to a large hole pocket about the point (pi, pi) in the ferromagnetic phase. As the magnetic field strength decreases, a number of quantum phase transitions are revealed; they are manifested in the changed Fermi surface topology. The Fermi surface reconstruction with a decreasing field is qualitatively the same as that with an increasing doping degree in the absence of a magnetic field.

Аннотация: The results of an investigation on the generation of higher harmonics under the passing of a low frequency current in HTSC ceramics by microwave spectroscopy methods are presented. It is found that the generation of only even harmonics occurs. The dependence of the signal upon the harmonic number and. as an example for the second harmonic, the temperature dependences of the microwave response parameters are discussed.

Аннотация: Composites Y3/4Lu1/4Ba2Cu3O7 + Y3Fe5O12 modeling random network superconductor-ferrimagnetic-superconductor have been prepared and their transport properties (temperature dependences of resistivity rho and critical current density j(c), current-voltage characteristics) have been studied. Below the superconducting transition temperature T-m the rho(T) dependences exhibit a kink at some temperature T-m. The crossover of current-voltage characteristics from ohmic-like behavior in range T-m/T-c to non-linear one below T-m is observed. Transport properties of the 'benchmark' composites Y3/4Lu1/4Ba2Cu3O7 + Y3Al5O12 are typical for network superconductor-insulator-superconductor Josephson junction. The behavior observed for Y3/4Lu1/4Ba2Cu3O7 + Y3Fe5O12 composites is attributed to peculiarities of supercurrent carriers tunnelling through ferrimagnetic barriers. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd. Аннотация: The results of the study of transport properties (temperature dependences of resistivity and critical current, current-voltage characteristics) of two-phase composites on the basis of Y3/4Lu1/4Ba2Cu3O7 high-temperature superconductor (HTSC) produced by fast baking technique and modelling networks of Josephson-type weak links are reported. Non-superconducting ingredients with different magnetic structures, insulators and normal metals, function as barriers between HTSC crystallites. Besides strong suppression of superconducting properties in HTSC composites with magnetic barriers, anomalous behavior of temperature dependences of resistivity below T-c of HTSC grains have been observed and investigated.

Аннотация: The magneto-resistive effect in bulk 123YBCO + CuO and YBCO + Normal metal BaPbO3 composites prepared by fast backing technique has been studied. The composites exhibit broadening of resistive transition in low magnetic fields (less than 200 Oe) for a wide temperature range. Experimental dependences of resistivity versus magnetic field at various transport current densities are presented and discussed. The HTSC based composites exhibit a much higher sensitivity to weak magnetic fields at liquid nitrogen temperature, as compared to that for the "pure" HTSC ceramics. This effect is attractive for possible practical applications and may be used in magnetic field sensor devices. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Аннотация: Composites representing a network of random Josephson junctions and characterized by the compositions 92.5 at. % Y3/4Lu1/4Ba2Cu3O7 + 7.5 at. % NiTiO3 and 92.5 at. % Y3/4Lu1/4Ba2Cu3O7 + 7.5 at.% MgTiO3 are synthesized, and their magnetoresistance properties are studied. The temperature dependence of the resistance R(T) measured for the composite that contains the paramagnetic NiTiO3 compound exhibits a characteristic feature below the superconducting transition temperature T-c of the high-T-c superconductor, namely, a region where R is independent of the current j and weakly depends on the magnetic field H. Below a certain temperature T-m, a strong dependence of R on j and H is observed, which is peculiar to a network of Josephson junctions. The dependences R(T, j, H) obtained for the "reference" samples with the nonmagnetic MgTiO3 compound exhibit no such features. The anomalous behavior of the HTSC + NiTiO3 composite is explained by the effect produced by the magnetic moments of Ni atoms in the insulating barriers on the transport current. Аннотация: The Monte Carlo method was used in a 2D model of the layered HTSC to calculate the magnetization curves of a granulated high-temperature superconductor for various sizes of granules. In this approach magnetization of granules alone is taken into account, while the contribution of the gaps between granules is small and neglected. The irreversibility field has been found to decrease with temperature at the fixed size of granules and increase as the granule size increases at fixed temperature. The time dependence of residual magnetization has been studied at various temperatures. The relaxation rate is shown not to depend on the granule size at low temperatures but to decrease with the increasing size (provided that the granule size is less than 3 μm) at a high temperature when the magnetic flux creep becomes of importance.

Аннотация: The concept of an effective field in an intergranular medium is used to describe the hysteresis magnetoresistance of granular HTSCs. This effective field is a superposition of the external magnetic field and the field induced by the magnetic moments of the superconducting granules. The magnetic moment of the granules is contributed by the shielding currents and the trapped magnetic flux. We studied and analyzed the effect of the trapped flux on the magnetoresistance. It has been experimentally shown that the dependence of the residual resistance RRem (after applying of the external field) on the trapped flux clearly correlates with the behavior of the remanent magnetization. In addition, special attention was paid to a detailed comparison of the magnetoresistance of the granular YBa2Cu3O7-δ for two cases: (a) the magnetization of HTSC-granules is caused only by the trapped magnetic flux (in a zero external field) and (b) HTSC-granules are in the Meissner state (the external field is smaller than the first critical field of the granules). It has been found that Abrikosov vortices and intragranular Meissner currents differently affect the effective field in the intergranular medium (for the same values (of magnetization for cases (a) and (b) ). A possible reason for this difference is discussed.

Аннотация: A new construction of dual band HTSC power limiter is proposed. The device consists of two microstrip bandpass filters. Each filter consists of two quarter-wave resonators which couple through a composite half-wave resonator with HTSC-element. The prototype of the device in the open mode has operation passband of about 10% and 11% with central frequency being equal to 1.48 GHz and 2.03 GHz, the minimum loss in the passband is equal 1.9 dB and 1.7 dB for LF-channel and HF-channel correspondingly. The transfer characteristics of the device were investigated in the case of microwave power level up to 3.15 W.
Предложена новая конструкция ВТСП ограничителя мощности с двумя рабочими полосами. Ограничитель содержит два микрополосковых полосно-пропускающих фильтра. Каждый фильтр состоит из двух четвертьволновых резонаторов, которые связаны между собой через составной полуволновый резонатор, содержащий пленку из высокотемпературного сверхпроводника. Макет устройства в открытом режиме имеет ширины рабочих полос пропускания 10% и 11% с центральными частотами 1.48 ГГц и 2.03 ГГц. Минимальные вносимые потери составили 1.9 дБ и 1.7 дБ для НЧ- и ВЧ-каналов соответственно. Передаточные характеристики устройства были исследованы до уровня СВЧ-мощности 3.15 Вт.

Аннотация: HTSC Bi1.8Pb0.3Sr2Ca2Cu3Ox of low density has been synthesized and its structural and physical properties have been studied. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) image shows that the material obtained has porous "foam" structure. The levitation force measured for the porous Bi1.8Pb0.3Sr2Ca2Cu3Ox is appeared to be approximately the same as for polycrystalline YBCO of high density. These "foam" structures may be an ideal material for some practical applications of HTSCs in bulk form. (c) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
