Заглавие : Crown's anisotropy of a tree and scattering the signals of navigation satellites frequency band L1
Коллективы : Regional Problems of Earth Remote Sensing

Аннотация: The model of interaction of signals from navigation satellites with the tree crown is considered. The contribution of the anisotropy of the dielectric constant to the cross section of radio wave scattering due to the orientational ordering of the branches is shown. The calculation of the scattering cross sections for small and large elements is presented. The tensor of orientational ordering of tree branches with division into tiers differing in the size and orientation of elements is introduced. Test measurements of navigation satellite signals passed through the crowns of spruce trees were carried out.

Аннотация: FMR and SWR spectra of exchange-coupled structures NiFe/Ag/NiFe have been investigated. We revealed that the optical satellites of the exchange spin-wave modes are characterized not by the standard Kittel-dependence but rather by their own resonance field dependence on the mode number: Hr opt(n)?n5/2.

Аннотация: Flux-Pinning Docking Interfaces (FPDI) in satellite systems were developed using bulk superconductors and permanent magnets in previous works. However, such FPDIs have limited magnetic field strength, consist of heavy-weight material, and can only be used with a single purpose, i.e., as chasing or docking satellite. Replacing the magnetic material in the FPDI by a trapped field (TF)-magnet would enable the interface to operate for both purposes, i.e., generating a (stronger) magnetic field and trapping it. We show the requirements for such a system and discuss the possible gains when using a TF-FPDI in satellites. To reduce the system weight, the use of superconducting foams as superconducting material is discussed in detail. Furthermore, the use of superconducting foams, the size of which can be easily upscaled, may also comprise the function of the damping material, so even more weight could be saved for the payload.

Аннотация: The magnetic ground state of CuB2O4 is incommensurate at T = 1.8 K and undergoes a continuous phase transition to a noncollinear commensurate antiferromagnetic state at T* similar to 10 K. Close to T* higher-order magnetic satellites are observed. Coexistence of long- and short-range magnetic order is observed in both magnetic phases. This suggests that the association of the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction and anisotropy leads to the formation of a magnetic soliton lattice.

Место публикации : Russ. Phys. J. - 2020. - Vol. 63, Is. 2. - P.238-243. - ISSN 1064-8887, DOI 10.1007/s11182-020-02026-2. - ISSN 1573-9228(eISSN)

Аннотация: The dielectric characteristics of trees are studied for a dielectric permittivity model of a forest stand of L1 band signals of navigation satellites. The contribution of the orientational ordering of tree elements and of the wood anisotropy to the effective wood dielectric permittivity epsilon has been estimated. The crown layer has the height-depend anisotropy increment epsilon and the orientational ordering of branch tensor elements. The anisotropy gradients in the layer of trunks are determined by the height-dependent wood volume of a single tree and the tree height distribution in a large forest.

Аннотация: A scattering and attenuation processes of navigation satellite signals in the forest interaction with tree trank and crown layers a tree stand are presented. The influence of the boundaries soil - tree stand - crown - air on the characteristics of radio signals scattering after interaction with forest is considered. Structural and electro physical features of tree stand elements in the processes of interaction with signals of the L 1 range and experimental data on signal transformations the forest are analyzed.
