Аннотация: Synthesis of new hybrid organosilicon compounds based on the amides 1- naphthylacetic acid was described. N-Organyl-2-(1-naphthyl)-N-[(triethoxysilyl)methyl]- acetamides were obtained by the reaction of 1-naphthylacetyl chloride with α-silylamines RNHCH2Si(OEt)3 (R = Me, i-Pr and Ph). Their subsequent interaction with N(CH2CH2OH)3 led to the formation of N-organyl-2-(1-naphthyl)-N-(silatranylmethyl)acetamides. The structure of these hybrid compounds was characterized by 1H, 13C, and 29Si NMR spectroscopy. The structure of N-methyl- and N-isopropyl-2-(1-naphthyl)-N-(silatranylmethy)acetamides was confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis. Results of computational screening showed that these silatranes are bioavailable and have drug-likeness.

Аннотация: Представлены результаты серии измерений амплитудно-временной зависимости интерференционного поля сигналов глобальных навигационных спутниковых систем (ГНСС) диапазона L1 (λ ≈ 0,19 м) при отражении от слоистых сред: снежно-ледового покрова пресноводного озера в зимне-весенний период и вблизи лесного массива. По результатам измерений выполнены: первичная выборка данных измерений с использованием облачного сервиса, последующая обработка данных путём быстрого фурье-преобразования (БФП) и дальнейший анализ результатов с помощью методик, применяемых в многолучевой ГНСС-рефлектометрии. Для анализа полученных рефлектограмм использована модель многолучевой интерференции в слоистых средах, для чего привлечена схема геометрической оптики. Это позволило, используя коэффициенты пропускания и отражения Френеля, рассчитать амплитуду и фазу волн, пришедших наряду с прямым сигналом на приёмную антенну. В дополнение к экспериментальным данным в работе представлены результаты вычислительного моделирования динамики снежно-ледового покрова, что позволило определить его температурный режим, состояние, другие термодинамические характеристики. Моделирование проведено на основе численного решения задачи Стефана в обобщённой постановке с учётом локальных климатических данных. Это позволило не только оценить текущее состояние слоёв, но и спрогнозировать их динамическое развитие с использованием метеорологических прогнозов. Результаты исследования могут применяться для мониторинга состояния ледового покрова от становления до таяния, а также лесных массивов с целью анализа их влажности, пожароопасности и густоты посадки.
The paper presents the results of a series of measurements of the amplitude-time dependences of the interference field of signals from navigation satellites in the L1 range (λ ≈ 0.19 m) when reflected from layered media: the snow-ice cover of a freshwater lake in the winter-spring period and near a forest. Based on the measurement results, the following was performed: an initial sampling of measurement data using a cloud service, subsequent data processing using fast Fourier transform and further analysis of the results using techniques of multi-beam GNSS reflectometry. To analyze the obtained reflectograms, a model of multibeam interference in layered media was used, for which a geometric optics scheme was used. This made it possible, using the Fresnel coefficients of transmission and reflection, to calculate the amplitudes and phases of the waves that arrived along with the direct signal to the receiving antenna. In addition to experimental data, the paper presents the results of computational modeling of the dynamics of snow and ice cover, which made it possible to determine its temperature regime, state, and other thermodynamic characteristics. The simulation was carried out based on the numerical solution of the Stefan problem in a generalized formulation, taking into account local climate data. This made it possible to assess not only the current state of these layers, but also to predict their dynamic development using meteorological forecasts. The results of the study can be used to monitor the state of ice cover from formation to melting, as well as forest areas in order to analyze their humidity, fire hazard and planting density.

Аннотация: Porosity affects the properties of high-Tc superconductors and can improve their performance by enhancing oxygenation, cryocooling, etc. Among other factors, the presence of pores plays a significant role in the process of magnetic flux trapping. Relationships with the porosity manifest in the irreversibility field, the full penetration field, and the remnant magnetization of the samples. To account for the effect of porosity on the trapped magnetic flux into type-II superconductors, a simple toy model is suggested. Generally, as the porosity increases, the trapped flux and related parameters tend to diminish. However, in the case of microscopic samples, porosity can enhance magnetic flux trapping.

Аннотация: Granular high-temperature superconductors (HTSs) are characterized by the hysteretic field dependences of magnetoresistance R(H) and critical current IC(H). These hysteretic effects are described within the concept of an effective field in the intergrain medium. The effective field is a superposition of external magnetic field H and the field induced by the magnetic moments of superconducting grains into intergrain spacings (grain boundaries). The magnetization of superconducting grains is determined by two contributions: Meissner (shielding) currents (MC) and trapped magnetic fluxes (Abrikosov vortices (AV)). To develop the concept of an effective field in the intergrain medium, the magnetotransport properties (R and IC) have been compared for two cases: (AV) the magnetization of superconducting grains is only determined by the trapped magnetic flux (zero external field) and (MC) HTS grains are in the Meissner state (the external field is weaker than the first critical field of grains). In a set of experiments, the main features of the hysteretic R(H) and M(H) dependences have been illustrated and the external conditions for implementing the AV and MC states have been established. It has been found that the effects of the Abrikosov vortices and intragrain Meissner currents on an effective field in the intergrain medium at the same magnetization values are noticeably different. This is a nontrivial fact that requires a thorough study of the impact of the anisotropy of the superconducting properties of grains on the configuration of the Meissner currents in them, as well as on the orientation of vortices both inside grains and near their surface. We suggest the explanation of observed stronger effect of the Meissner currents on the intergrain medium as compared with the effect of the Abrikosov vortices.

Аннотация: The composite compound Bi2(Sn0.7Fe0.3)2O7/Bi2Fe4O9 in the ratio 91/9% was synthesized by the solid-phase reaction method. The current-voltage characteristics were studied in the temperature range 800–400 K. The hysteresis of the current-voltage characteristics was found. The magnetoelectric interaction and thermoelectric power have been studied. The temperatures of predominance of the even and linear functions of the magnetoelectric effect are established. The sign change of the thermopower has been found.

Аннотация: In a recent paper, Zhang et al. [1] studied the effect of a Pb content on the superconducting properties of Bi-2223. Some earlier, Ramirez et al. [2] explored the effect of compaction pressure on the Bi-2212. In both studies, the critical current densities were estimated and compared for a series of polycrystalline superconducting samples. The synthesis conditions for the highest critical current density were claimed in both works. This comment explains that the average granule size should be used instead of the sample size in the Bean formula for the polycrystalline superconductors synthesized by solid-state, sol–gel, electrospinning, and solution blow spinning methods. The corrected estimations for the commented articles conclude that the synthesis conditions affect both the granule size and the intragranular critical current density. The synthesis parameters for the highest critical current density conditions are clarified.

Аннотация: A misalignment of anisotropic crystallites causes small values of anisotropy and decreases the critical current density of textured polycrystalline superconductors. To relate the crystallite misalignment and out-plane anisotropy, the magnetic properties of the textured Bi2223 polycrystalline superconductor were investigated. A distribution of orientation angles of crystallites was determined using different data: scanning electron microscopy images and hysteresis magnetization loops when an external magnetic field was applied at different angles with respect to the texturing plane of the sample. It was demonstrated that the standard deviation of the distribution and the magnetic disorder angle of crystallites in textured samples can be determined from the magnetization data in perpendicular directions. These data may be either the irreversible magnetization measured for two different orientations of the sample or the simultaneously measured magnetization projections parallel and perpendicular to the magnetic field.

Аннотация: TiNi alloys are very widely used materials in implant fabrication. When applied in rib replacement, they are required to be manufactured as combined porous-monolithic structures, ideally with a thin, porous part well-adhered to its monolithic substrate. Additionally, good biocompatibility, high corrosion resistance and mechanical durability are also highly demanded. So far, all these parameters have not been achieved in one material, which is why an active search in the field is still underway. In the present study, we prepared new porous-monolithic TiNi materials by sintering a TiNi powder (0–100 μm) on monolithic TiNi plates, followed by surface modification with a high-current pulsed electron beam. The obtained materials were evaluated by a set of surface and phase analysis methods, after which their corrosion resistance and biocompatibility (hemolysis, cytotoxicity, and cell viability) were evaluated. Finally, cell growth tests were conducted. In comparison with flat TiNi monoliths, the newly developed materials were found to have better corrosion resistance, also demonstrating good biocompatibility and potential for cell growth on their surface. Thus, the newly developed porous-on-monolith TiNi materials with different surface porosity and morphology showed promise as potential new-generation implants for use in rib endoprostheses.

Аннотация: We present the results of a study of the superconducting and paramagnetic properties of polycrystalline Y1–xGdxBa2Cu3O7–δ samples. The critical current density and critical temperature of YBCO were weakly decreased by the Gd doping. A peak effect, which is a nonmonotonic dependence of the critical current density on magnetic field, was detected for all samples. The peak position shifted to higher magnetic fields with increasing Gd content. This behavior is opposite to the shift of the peak effect observed for other YBCO compounds doped by magnetic ions. This unusual behavior is apparently related to the realized granular structure instead of the type of doping ion. A correlation between the peak position and the granule size was found in the investigated samples and other polycrystalline YBCO compounds.

Аннотация: The structural and magnetic properties of a niobium nitride (NbN) film prepared by reactive sputtering onto a quartz substrate are investigated. It is shown using scanning electron microscopy that the film has a columnar structure with a diameter of crystallite columns of about 50 nm. The film magnetization loops are measured for the field orientation parallel and perpendicular to its surface. Based on the experimental data, the critical current densities of the film are estimated in both cases. For the field parallel to the film surface, the estimate is 6.5 × 104 A/cm2 at the liquid helium temperature. For the field perpendicular to the surface, the critical current density is close to the depairing current density (107 A/cm2). Analysis of the results based on different models of magnetic vortex pinning in superconductors shows that in the former case, pinning occurs at the boundaries of columns in the bulk of the sample, while in the latter case, it is determined by the influence of the surface barrier.
