Аннотация: A novel low noise and wide bandwidth thin magnetic film magnetometer based on a ferromagnetic resonance phenomenon is presented in the article. The magnetometer is characterized by a high sensitivity in a wide frequency range - from a direct component of the field and up to 105...108 Hz. The magnetometer noise level is lower 10-12 T/Hz1/2 at frequencies above 102 Hz. The magnetometer conversion factor is constant at the whole operating frequency band. The developed magnetometer is simple and inexpensive for mass production.

Аннотация: The results are given of experimental and theoretical study for the photoinduced variation of the magnetic moment in FeBO3. In the experiment a SQUID-magnetometer provided with the optical pump system is used. The study of field, temperature and time dependences of the photoinduced magnetic moment variation for various levels of the optical emission power allows to find the mechanism responsible for changing magnetic state under irradiation. All the experimental results are explained within the model in which the crystal-matrix is described in the continual approximation and a photocenter, probably, Fe2+ ion is done as a quasi Ising S=1 ion coupled by exchange with one of the crystal magnetic sublattice. Under illuminating the redistribution of the principal multiplet level populations occurs so that the level of the stronger anisotropic character is populated predominantly due to the selection rules. The model used allows to calculate and explain the anisotropic properties of FeBO3 crystals and spin-flip transition in the basal plane at low temperature.

Аннотация: Copper oxide nanoparticles were produced by direct plasmachemical synthesis in a plasma arc discharge of low pressure. The formation of CuO nanoparticles with an average size of 12 nm and narrow size distribution intervals was determined by using the x-ray diffraction analysis and TEM microscopy methods. It was defined by using a vibration magnetometer and a SQUID magnetometer, that the magnetic properties of CuO nanoparticles with such size were extremely different from the magnetic properties of bulk antiferromagnetic CuO. Structural defects caused the formation of a ferromagnetic state, remaining at least up to the room temperature. The temperature of corresponding antiferromagnetic ordering was significantly decreased (down to ∼ 100 K). Meanwhile, some of the copper surface spins showed a spin-glass behavior at low temperatures.

Аннотация: The paper examines the characteristics of the miniature sensor of weak magnetic fields on the resonant microstrip structure with a thin ferromagnetic film. The authors calculated the frequency response of irregular microstrip resonator containing anisotropic magnetic film in quasi-static approximation. The resonator is connected to transmission lines via coupling capacities. The authors determined the optimal directional angles of the constant magnetic displacement field ensuring maximum sensitivity of the sensor. They examined the impact of angular and amplitude dispersion of uniaxial magnetic anisotropy of thin film upon the sensor characteristics. The regularities determined in this research qualitatively agree with the experimental results.

Аннотация: Предложена схема и описано устройство стабилизации параметров механических колебаний образца для высокотемпературного вибрационного магнитометра, в котором применен прямой метод измерений. Применение данного устройства позволяет существенно уменьшить погрешность измерений. Относительная нестабильность амплитуды колебаний составляет 10-4, а частоты - 10-5. Экспериментальная установка предназначена для проведения измерений магнитного момента образцов от 5•10-4 до 50 Гс•см3 в интервале температур 300-1000 К и магнитных полей 0-(±15) кЭ.Scheme and structure of sample mechanical oscillation parameters stabilization for high temperature vibrating magnetometer in which direct measuring method is used is described. This device allows to reduce significantly error of measuring. The relative instability of vibration amplitude makes 10-4, and frequencies - 10-5. The experimental apparatus is intended for measuring of magnet moment of samples from 5•10-4 to 50 gs•cm3 in the range of temperatures 300-1000 K and magnetic fields 0-(±15) kOe.

Аннотация: An original magnetometer based on a dc superconducting quantum interferometer is described. The design features of the device are discussed and functional diagrams of its new units are presented. The magnetic moment measurement methods that optimize the measurement process are proposed. Examples of the investigations carried out on the samples of different materials are given. The factors affecting the reliability of the magnetic measurements are considered.

Аннотация: Using numerical micromagnetic modeling, we have investigated the development of domain structure and magnetization reversal in multilayer thin-film structures. The permalloy (Ni80Fe20) magnetic layers had the inplane uniaxial and perpendicular magnetic anisotropy. We found that as the thickness of nonmagnetic interlayers decreases, the in-plane configuration of magnetic moments in the permalloy layers transforms from a single domain state to stripe domains, which is caused by the increase of magnetostatic interaction between layers. In structures with "thick" interlayers, even weak magnetostatic interaction enforces the neighboring single domain permalloy layers to have opposite orientations of magnetic moments. The saturation field of such samples increases linearly with the number of layers. By analyzing the dynamic characteristics of multilayers, we determined the optimum number of layers ensuring the maximum conversion efficiency of wideband microwave microstrip sensors of weak magnetic fields.

Аннотация: A high-sensitivity magnetometer for simultaneous measurements of three components of a weak quasi-stationary or high-frequency magnetic-field vector was developed and investigated. Microstrip structures that are based on irregular resonators serve as the magnetometer transducers. An anisotropic thin-film magnetic structure is used as the sensing element. This structure consists of two thin magnetic films that are prepared by magnetron sputtering of a Ni75Fe25 permalloy target and separated by a silicon monoxide layer. It is demonstrated that the transducer exhibits the maximum sensitivity, when the easy magnetization axis of the film structure is orthogonal to the polarization direction of the pumping microwave magnetic field in the microstrip resonator and at an optimal value of a constant magnetic bias field and its optimal deflection from the pumping-field polarization direction which is parallel to it. The magnetometer is characterized by a wide dynamic range of measured magnetic fields, 10–10–10–4 Т, and a wide frequency range, 10–1–105 Hz. © 2016, Pleiades Publishing, Inc.
