Аннотация:
Монография посвящена исследованиям микро- и нанокомпозитных сред, уникальные свойства которых определяются спецификой их мезоскопического структурного упорядочения. Представлены результаты работы коллектива авторов в рамках интеграционного проекта СО РАН в 2009-2011 гг. Объектами теоретических и экспериментальных исследований являлись различные структурно организованные среды (метаматериалы, мультислойные структуры, опалы, композитные пленки и наноколлоиды, микрополосковые структуры), технологии их формирования, методы управления магнитными, оптическими и диэлектрическими свойствами.

Аннотация:
The interaction of non-monochromatic radiation with arrays comprising plasmonic and dielectric nanoparticles has been studied using the finite-difference time-domain electrodynamics method. It is shown that LiNbO3, TiO2, GaAs, Si, and Ge all-dielectric nanoparticle arrays can provide a complete selective reflection of an incident plane wave within a narrow spectral line of collective lattice resonance with a Q-factor of 103 or larger at various spectral ranges, while plasmonic refractory TiN and chemically stable Au nanoparticle arrays provide high-Q resonances with moderate reflectivity. Arrays with fixed dimensional parameters make it possible to fine-tune the position of a selected resonant spectral line by tilting the array relative to the direction of the incident radiation. These effects provide grounds for engineering novel selective tunable optical high-Q filters in a wide range of wavelengths, from visible to middle-IR.

Аннотация:
We present the theoretical model to predict the spectral position of Rayleigh anomalies emerged in hybrid system consisting of periodic array of plasmonic nanodisks embeded into the middle of defect layer of 1D photonic crystal (PhC). The spectral positions of these new emerged Rayleigh anomalies agree well with the results of exact simulations with Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) method.

Аннотация:
We consider resonant modes of two dielectric identical particles which can be classified as symmetric and anti symmetric combinations of the resonant modes of individual particles. We show that an approaching of two particles gives rise to an avoided crossing of resonant poles because of interaction between the disks. That in turn results in strong enhancement of the quality factor factor of two disks compared to isolated disks.

Аннотация:
The structure consisting of alternating uniaxial dielectric layers is known to produce reflection of the same polarization as the incident field; e.g., the right-hand elliptically polarized light preserves this right-handedness and ellipticity of polarization at reflection. The parameters permitting the properly-polarized reflectance to exceed 99% in a wide frequency range were considered both analytically and numerically. The mirror with tuned top-layer thickness is shown to have several times less polarization losses than the uniform mirror. The hybrid mirror with metallic bottom layer has a considerably reduced thickness.

In this work we experimentally observe a symmetry protected optical bound state in the continuum(BIC) with zero angular momentum in 1D array of ceramic disks at GHz frequencies. We analyze the dependence of Q factor of BIC on the number of the disks and the level of the material losses. We confirmed theoretical prediction about quadratic growth of the Q factor with the number of the disks and its following saturation due to material losses.

The method of formation of nanostructures consisting of three particles in the field of quasiresonant laser radiation is considered. To obtain structures, two approaches were used: a third particle is added to a pre-formed particlespair at a certain angle; the necessary structure is formed from three initially isolated particles. Numerically shown that it is possibleto assemble structures of line and pyramid using both previously mentioned approaches.

We investigate extraordinary features of optical parametric amplification of Stokes electromagnetic waves that originate from the three-wave mixing of a backward phonon wave with negative group velocity and two ordinary electromagnetic waves. Such properties were earlier shown to exist only in plasmonic negative-index
metamaterials
that are very challenging to fabricate. Nonlinear optical photonic devices with properties similar to those predicted for negative-index
metamaterials

Аннотация:
The possibility of mimicking of huge enhancement of coherent nonlinear optical frequency-mixing processes, is investigated in Raman crystals. Negative dispersion of optical phonons plays a key role for such an analogy. A possibility to greatly enhance frequency conversion efficiency of stimulated Raman scattering is shown by making use of extraordinary properties of three-wave mixing of ordinary optical and backward elastic waves. Specific properties of the indicated nonlinear optical process in short- pulse regime are investigated and the possibility to eliminate such a fundamental detrimental effect as fast damping of optical phonons on the process concerned is shown.

The extraordinary properties of second harmonic generation in negative-index
metamaterials
, where the Poynting vector and the wavevector have opposite directions are investigated. The "backward" phase-matching condition results in significant changes in the Manley-Rowe relations and in spatial distributions of the field intensities of the coupled waves.
