Аннотация: The properties of NPC structures in strontium tetraborate are analyzed. Different types of NPC structures are revealed that possess different nonlinear properties, and their spectral dependences of frequency conversion efficiency are calculated and compared. Experimental study of these structures is reported for the process of doubling of the second harmonic of fs Ti:S laser. Tuning of generated radiation is obtained in the range 187.5 - 232.5 nm, with extreme insensitivity to the angular orientation of NPC. Behavior of tuning curve along investigated fundamental wave range is similar in all studied samples, but efficiency obtained depends on the type of structure. Conversion efficiency and spectral quality of generated radiation is experimentally shown to grow better when using NPC with improved structure. Prospects of VUV converter on a single NPC are discussed. NPCs of SBO are demonstrated to be useful for autocorrelation diagnostics both in random QPM geometry and in the geometry of nonlinear diffraction from virtual beam.

Аннотация: A powder sample of CsMnMoO3F3 oxyfluoride has been prepared by solid state synthesis. The pyrochlore-related crystal structure of CsMnMoO3F3 has been refined by the Rietveld method at T = 298 K (space group Fd-3m, a = 10.59141(4) angstrom, V = 1188.123(8) angstrom(3); R-B = 3.44%). The stability of the cubic phase has been obtained over the temperature range T = 110-293 K by heat capacity measurements. Magnetic properties have been measured over the range of T = 2-300 K. The electronic structure of CsMnMoO3F3 has been evaluated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Chemical bonding effects have been discussed for all metal ions using binding energy difference parameters and wide comparison with related oxides and fluorides. The competition between O-2(-) and F- ions for metal valence electrons has been found.

Аннотация: Triclinic Fe1-xMxVO4 single crystals (M = Al, Ga, Co, Cr) have been grown by the flux method from systems based on PbO-V 2O5. Their crystallographic parameters are determined by powder X-ray dif- fraction. Fe1-xGaxVO4 single crystals (x = 0-0.3) with a volume more than 1cm3 are grown using the seeding technique. The temperature and field dependences of magnetization and magnetic susceptibility of the grown Fe1-xGaxVO4 and Fe1-xAlxVO4 single crystals (x = 0.3 in the solution-melt) are reported. It is shown that the magnetizations of these crystals exceed that of FeVO4, and both of their antiferromagnetic phase transi- tions are shifted to lower temperatures.

Аннотация: Structural and morphological properties of biogenic ferrihydrite nanoparticles produced by bacteria Klebsiella oxytoca are investigated. The stability of water dispersions of biomineral particles produced by Klebsiella oxytoca was monitored by UV-Vis spectroscopy. Their chemical composition was determined by FT-IR spectroscopy. The vibrational spectra of biogenic ferrihydrite nanoparticles revealed typical absorption peaks of exopolysaccharides. Morphological analysis based on Raman spectroscopy indicated the presence of exopolysaccharides on the surface as well as inside the pores of the ferrihydrite nanoparticles. Structural investigations of ultrasonic assisted samples of different concentration of water dispersed particles were performed using small angle X-ray scattering analysis. Model calculations and fitting procedures revealed scattering objects of an elongated shape with 6.73В±0.16 nm radius of gyration. В© Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Аннотация: Enrofloxacinium citrate monohydrate (I), C19H 23FN3O3+В·C6H7O7- В·H2O, [C19H22FN3O3 - enrofloxacin, EnrH] has been crystallized from the mutual solution of citric acid and enrofloxacin in ambient conditions. The colorless crystals have been investigated using X-ray single crystal and powder techniques, and characterized by differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetry and infrared spectroscopy. The obtained compound can be considered as a salt with enrofloxacinium in the role of a cation and citrate as an anion. The ions ratio equals to 1:1. The compound crystallizes in the triclinic lattice with a = 9.0489(8) A, b = 9.6531(8) A, c = 14.913(1) A, ? = 98.813(1)В°, ? = 92.029(1)В°, ? = 91.013(1)В°, Z = 2, V = 1286.1(2) A3, S.G. P1?. The crystal structure determination reveals the importance of inter- and intramolecular interactions in the crystal formation. The EnrH2+andH3Cit- molecular ions are packed in alternating layers with water molecules inserted into the citrate layers. A citrate ion in the layer is linked via H-bondings with two adjacent ones and three water molecules. Enrofloxacinium cations are packaged by means of a benched mode and every cation is linked by three intermolecular thymus type H-bondings with nitrogens of adjacent cations and by two links with the oxygen of the citrate ions. The infrared spectra gave the evidence of H-bonding formation in the obtained salt. The ?-stacking interactions are observed between the aromatic cycles of the adjacent cations which are located in an antiparallel style in a layer. В© 2012 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Аннотация: Dilute magnetic semiconductors (DMS) combine the electronic transport properties of semiconductors and memory characteristics of magnetic materials. The complementary properties of semiconductor and ferromagnetic material can manipulate both degrees of freedoms of electrons0 spins and charges for spintronic devices. In recent years, group IV(Ge,Si)-based DMSs attract considerable experimental effort due to the compatibility with mainstream silicon technology. In ourworkwe present the investigation of structural,magnetic and optical properties ofmanganese and iron silicides thin films on Si (100) substrate by in situ spectral generalizedmagneto-optical ellipsometry. Themeasurementswere performed by spectral and laser ellipsometers (“Spectroscan“ and “LEF-71“ respectively by Institute Semiconductors Physics SB RAS), optimized tomeasure not only traditional ellipsometric parameters, but also magneto-optical response of the sample. The magnetoellipsometers were integrated into the ultrahigh vacuum chambers of molecular beam epitaxy setup, which allowed to control the optical and magnetic properties of thin films directly in the growth process. As a result of the magneto-optical response analysis, it was found that iron and manganese silicides in magnetic phase were formed on the Si surface and by analysis of the ellipsometric parameters dependence on evaporation time the silicide nanoclusters were identified and their structural properties were found. The work was supported by project 4.1 of the OFN RAS, project 27.10 of the Presidium RAS, integration project22 of SB RAS and FEB RAS, and also the FCP NK-744P/6 .

Аннотация: 5-(Isopropylidene)-2-thiobarbituric acid (1), C7H8N2O2S, has been crystallized by reacting 2-thiobarbituric acid with excessing acetone for 5–6 days under ambient conditions. The pale yellow crystals have been investigated using X-ray single crystal and powder techniques and characterized by differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetry and infrared spectroscopy. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic system with a = 8.8268(19) Å, b = 12.044(3) Å, c = 8.0998(19) Å, β = 105.388(6)°, Z = 4, V = 830.2(3) Å3, space group P21/c. The geometric parameters of the heterocycle of the molecule 1 are similar to those found previously for the molecule of thionedicarbonyl tautomer in polymorphic modifications of 2-thiobarbituric acid. Infrared spectroscopy also evidences the thionedicarbonyl structure of the 1 heterocyclic ring. Intermolecular NH⋯O hydrogen bonds join the molecules in the chains along b axis. The 1 compound is thermally stable up to 230.0 °С and melts with decomposition at 261.4 °C. The results of mass spectrometric analysis are consistent with the structural parameters found by X-ray diffraction methods.

Аннотация: We have successfully synthesized ferromagnetic Fe-In2O 3 nanocomposite thin films for the first time using the thermite reaction Fe2O3 + In = In2O3 + Fe. The initial In/Fe2O3 bilayers were obtained by the deposition of In layers on α-Fe2O3 films. The reaction occurs in a self-propagating mode in a homogeneous thermal film plane field at heating rates above 20 K/s and at temperatures above initiation temperature T[[d]]in[[/d]] ~ 180 °C. At heating rates lower than 20 K/s the mixing of the In and Fe2O3 layers occurs across the whole In/Fe2O3 interface and the synthesis of the ferromagnetic α-Fe phase starts above the initiation temperature T[[d]]in[[/d]] = 180 °C. X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Mossbauer spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy and magnetic measurements were used for phase identification and microstructure observation of the synthesized Fe-In2O3 samples. The reaction products contain (1 1 0) textured α-Fe nanocrystals with a diameter around 100 nm and surrounded by an In2O3 matrix. These results enable new efficient low-temperature methods for synthesizing ferromagnetic nanocomposite films containing ferromagnetic nanoclusters embedded in transparent conducting oxides. © 2014 Elsevier B.V.
