    Thermal properties and phase transitions in (NH4) 3ZrF7 / V. D. Fokina [et al.] // Journal of Fluorine Chemistry. - 2013. - Vol. 154. - P. 1-6, DOI 10.1016/j.jfluchem.2013.07.001 . - ISSN 0022-1139

Cubic fluorides -- Entropy -- Permittivity -- Phase transitions -- Pressure effect -- Thermal dilatation
Аннотация: The heat capacity, thermal dilatation, permittivity, and T-p phase diagram of (NH4)3ZrF7 have been studied in wide temperature and pressure ranges. Two phase transitions were found in addition to previously known structural transformations. The stability of crystal phases to temperature and pressure has been examined and a possibility of transition between two cubic phases has been discussed. The total excess entropy change SDSi = Rln6 is characteristic for the order-disorder processes, but its stepwise increase is not consistent with the structural model associated with the strong disorder assumed in the initial cubic phase.    COBALTATE PEROVSKITES

Кл.слова (ненормированные):
Rare earth cobalt oxide solid solutions -- Layered perovskite-type cobalt oxides -- Structural -- Magnetic -- Electronic -- Dilatation properties
Аннотация: Single-phase samples of the layered perovskite-like cobalt oxides Ln0.2Sr0.8CoO3-δ (Ln = Sm, Gd, Dy) with the same oxygen nonstoichiometry index δ = 0.37 ± 0.01 were synthesized. All samples are characterized by a tetragonal unit cell with the space group I4/mmm. The structural, magnetic, electric transport and dilatation properties of the obtained samples are investigated. The studied samples are characterized by two anomalies in magnetic properties, a high-temperature maximum near Тm = 350 К with magnetic field hysteresis below Tm, and a diffuse peak in the intermediate temperature range, which shifts with ionic radius decrease of the rare-earth element to higher temperatures. The high-temperature maxima of the magnetic susceptibility correlate with anomalies in thermal expansion, heat capacity and the features in the temperature dependences of the electrical resistivity, pointing to a strong relationship between the structural, magnetic and electronic degrees of freedom. The given comparative analysis of the experimental data of various substituting rare-earth elements with the same oxygen nonstoichiometry has been carried out for the first time.

rare-earth cobalt oxides -- multiplicity fluctuations -- structural -- magnetic -- electrical -- and dilatation properties
Аннотация: The structural, magnetic, electrical, and dilatation properties of the rare-earth NdCoO3 and SmCoO3 cobaltites were investigated. Their comparative analysis was carried out and the effect of multiplicity fluctuations on physical properties of the studied cobaltites was considered. Correlations between the spin state change of cobalt ions and the temperature dependence anomalies of the lattice parameters, magnetic susceptibility, volume thermal expansion coefficient, and electrical resistance have been revealed. A comparison of the results with well-studied GdCoO3 allows one to single out both the general tendencies inherent in all rare-earth cobaltites taking into account the lanthanide contraction and peculiar properties of the samples containing Nd and Sm.
