Аннотация: The behavior of the impedance spectra of island permalloy films prepared through vacuum evaporation onto optically polished glass-ceramic substrates has been investigated in the frequency range from 0.0001 to 100 MHz. A resistor-capacitor model of the films has been developed and the model parameters, for which there is a good agreement with experimental data on the frequency dependences of the real and imaginary components of the impedance, have been determined. The specific features in the behavior of the electrical and physical characteristics with variations in the thickness of the sample and the gap between the measuring electrodes have been investigated. It has been found that the relative permittivity of the films under investigation reaches values E similar to 10(7)-10(8). The structural relaxation times have been calculated.

Аннотация: A 243-MHz narrowband filter with high selectivity performance has been designed. The filter comprises two electromagnetically coupled quasi-lumped resonators placed into a metal case. Each resonator consists of a tubular capacitor connected in series between two tubular conductors. The measured frequency response of the fabricated filter is presented.

Аннотация: The effect of an electrode material on electrical properties of a composite material based on super-high-molecular polyethylene (SHMPE) filled with carbon nanotubes has been studied using impedance spectroscopy. Using the method of replacing the sample by an equivalent electric circuit, it has been found that, depending on the electrode material, a blocking barrier with high active resistance and a space charge region adjacent to it arise in the interface region. It has been shown that the barrier height is controlled by surface electronic states of SHMPE and weakly depends on the electron work function of metal electrodes (Bardeen barrier). The characteristic times of electrical relaxation characterizing bulk and interface regions of the composite under study have been determined.

Carried approximation permittivity spectra of liquid crystal 7CB using the transformation of the dielectric losses in the electrical impedance spectrum. It is allow to compare the losses with equivalent electrical circuit the liquid crystal cell.

Аннотация: A new planar resonator design in which a single conductor is replaced by three parallel stripe conductors located one above the other on a suspended two-layer substrate is proposed. It is shown that the resonator longitudinal sizes can be significantly reduced and, at the same time, the resonator intrinsic Q factor and frequencies of higher oscillation modes can be increased. A fourth-order bandpass filter with a central frequency of the transmission band (relative width 5%) of 1 GHz has been developed and fabricated. This filter has a -100-dB rejection band up to frequencies exceeding 10 GHz. The filter is enclosed in a metallic case with an internal size of 38 x 12 x 7.5 mm. It is shown that a similar filter fabricated in accordance with low-temperature cofired ceramic (LTCC) technology has a -40-dB rejection band up to 30 GHz, with sizes reduced to 5.0 x 4.25 x 1.24 mm.

Аннотация: The effect of a direct-current (dc) electric field on the electrophysical characteristics of nematic liquid crystals of the alkyl cyanobiphenyl series nCB (n = 6-8) and the multicomponent liquid-crystal mixture MB-1, which are doped with ionic surfactants, has been investigated using impedance spectroscopy. It has been found that the impedance spectra depend substantially on the dc bias voltage applied to the sample. The approximation of the measured spectra with specially developed equivalent circuits of the measuring cell with a sample has made it possible to determine the capacitance of the electric double layer and the electrical conductivity of the samples, as well as the mobility, concentration, and diffusion coefficient of the ions. It has been shown that a region of the space charge is formed in the frequency range f ˂ 100 Hz near the electrodes of the measuring cell with a liquid-crystal sample, which leads to an increase in the active (resistive) and reactive (capacitive) components of the impedance.

Аннотация: We demonstrate that ferromagnetic metal/insulator/semiconductor hybrid structures represent a class of materials with the giant magnetoimpedance effect. In a metal-insulator-semiconductor diode with the Schottky barrier fabricated on the basis of the Fe/SiO2/n-Si structure, a drastic change in the impedance in an applied magnetic field was found. The maximum value of this effect was observed at temperatures of 10–30 K in the frequency range of 10 Hz–1 MHz where the ac magnetoresistance and magnetoreactance ratios exceeded 300% and 600%, respectively. In the low-frequency region (<1 kHz), these ratios could be controlled in wide range by applying bias to the device. The main contribution to the impedance when measured at temperatures corresponding to the strongest magnetic-field sensitivity comes from the interface states localized near the SiO2/n-Si interface and the processes of their recharging in an applied ac voltage. The applied magnetic field changes the energy structure of the interface states, thus affecting the processes of the charging dynamics.

Аннотация: The behavior of frequency dependences of the impedance of a capacitive measuring cell with a liquid crystal has been investigated in the frequency range from 10−1 to 105 Hz. A method for determining electrophysical characteristics of the liquid crystal in the bulk and at the liquid crystal-metal electrode interface has been proposed and tested for liquid crystals of the alkyl cyanobiphenyl series, which are doped with ionic surfactants. The method is based on the use of an equivalent electrical circuit, which makes it possible to approximate the impedance spectra with the required accuracy, and also on the determination of the frequency at the singular point in the impedance spectra, at which the reactive component of the electric current flowing through the liquid-crystal cell is negligible compared to the active component.
