Аннотация: The magnetic properties and Mossbauer spectra of the Y1.8Bi1.2Fe3.5Ga1.5O12 compound were investigated. A linear temperature dependence of the saturation magnetization, hysteresis, and stability of the coercive field in the magnetically ordered state were found. Using the Mossbauer measurements, the distribution of iron ions over octahedral and tetrahedral sites and the concentration of paramagnetic iron ions were determined. Two critical temperatures – the sublattice magnetization compensation temperature and the ferrimagnet–paramagnet transition temperature – were established. The disappear of the phonon mode in the vicinity of the magnetic transition was observed. The experimental data have been interpreted in terms of the spin–lattice interaction model.

Аннотация: The two-dimensional (2D) Heisenberg model (J 0) with anisotropic exchange Delta = 1-J(X)/J(Z) greater than or equal to 0 and with S = 1/2 is studied by the quantum Monte-Carlo method. Energy, susceptibility, specific heat, spin-spin correlation functions, and correlation radius are calculated. The dependence of the Neel temperature T(N)/J = 2/ln(11/Delta) on the exchange anisotropy is determined. The static magnetic factor is very slowly decreased for T/J 0.4. It is assumed to realize topological excitations in the range of these temperatures. The correlation radius of the isotropic Heisenberg model is fitted by the dependence 1/xi = 2.05T(1.0(6))/exp (1.0(4)/T).The temperature behavior of the static structural magnetic factor in La(2)CuO(4) and Er(2)CuO(4) for T T(N) is in agreement with the MC calculations.

Аннотация: The temperature dependence of resistivity and the bulk modulus are calculated on the Kondo lattice, with ring exchange between localized spins, using the spin-polaron and adiabatic approximation. Peak and zero values of the bulk modulus as functions of temperature and concentration are determined below the temperature of the transition to the paramagnetic state. The effects of the nearest order between transverse spin components and a value of the ring exchange between localized spins on magnetoresistivity are estimated.

Аннотация: The temperature dependences of resistivity and thermal emf on a Kondo lattice are calculated using the spinpolaron approximation. The peaks and sign reversal points of thermal emf as a function of temperature and concentration below the temperature of the transition to the paramagnetic state are determined. Аннотация: The capacity and the dielectric loss tangent of a Gd x Mn1–xSe (x ≤ 0.2) solid solution have been measured in the frequency range 1–300 kHz without a magnetic field and in a magnetic field of 8 kOe in the temperature range 100–450 K, and the magnetic moment of the solid solution has been measured in a field of 8.6 kOe. The magnetocapacity effect and the change in the magnetocapacity sign have been observed in room temperature in the paramagnetic region. A correlation of the changes in the dielectric permittivity and the magnetic susceptibility with temperature has been revealed. The magnetocapacity is described using the model with orbital electron ordering and the Maxwell–Wagner model.

Аннотация: An analysis is made of the two-dimensional Heisenberg model with S = 1/2, anisotropic exchange interaction between nearest neighbors, and alternating exchange in two directions, [100] and [010] (corresponding to condensation of the (pi,pi) mode) and in one direction [100] (corresponding to condensation of the (pi,0) mode), The quantum Monte Carlo method is used to calculate the thermodynamic characteristics and the spin correlation functions which are used as the basis to determine the boundary of stability of an anisotropic antiferromagnetic with respect to alternation of exchange delta = (1 - J(x,y) / J(z))(0.4) in the (pi,pi) model and delta = (1 - J(x,y) / J(z))(0.31) in the (pi,0) model. In the (pi,0) model a disordered quantum state exists in the range (1 - J(x,y) / J(z))(0.31) delta (0.3-0.35). The energy (E - 0.68)

Аннотация: For the manganites RMnO(3) (R = La, Pr, Nd), a mechanism is proposed to explain the anomalous temperature dependences of the kinetic coefficients, resistivity, and thermoelectric power during the transition from the pseudocubic O to the orthorhombic O' crystal structure. The contributions of the bending and stretching modes of the octahedron to the formation of thermal-conductivity maxima and to the deviation from the linear dependence of ln(rho/T) on 1/T at low temperatures have been estimated. In nickelates, the metal-insulator transition is caused by lattice-polaron pinning by the stretching mode of the octahedron, and the low-temperature anomaly of the thermal conductivity is related to electron scattering by the bending mode of the octahedron.

Аннотация: The ferroelectric properties of bismuth pyrostannate Bi2(Sn0.85Cr0.15)2O7 in the high-temperature region are established. The linear thermal expansion coefficient, electrical resistance, impedance, I−V characteristics, capacitance, loss-angle tangent, charge, and thermopower of the investigated material are measured in the temperature range of 300−700 K at frequencies of 102−106 Hz. Anomalies of the thermal expansion coefficient and hodograph spectrum variation in the region of polymorphic phase transitions are observed. The high resistance and change of the hopping conductivity for the tunnel-emission are found. The hysteresis in the electric field dependence of polarization is established. The change in the thermopower sign with temperature is revealed. The obtained experimental data are explained in the framework of the model of migration polarization by charged chromium ions.

Аннотация: The one-dimensional Heisenberg model with alternating antiferromagnetic bond and spin-1/2 has been studied by the Monte Carlo method. The thermodynamic characteristics, spin-spin, and four spin-correlation function have been calculated. From several maxima of the correlation radius of the four spin-correlation function and sharp slopes of the dimer order parameter, a longitudinal component of the total spin square as a function of temperature and magnetic field, the existence of two mass singlet excitation branches with Delta S-z=0 and one triplet with Delta S-z=1 is suggested. Critical temperatures and fields related to singlet filled bands have been estimated. From these results low-temperature (TT-SP) properties of spin-Peierls (SP) compounds CuGeO3 and NaV2O5 have been explained.
