(NH4)(3)WO3F3 OXYFLUORIDE
Аннотация: Raman spectra of a polycrystalline sample of the perovskite-like oxyfluoride (NH4)(3)TiOF5 are measured in the frequency region 100-3600 cm(-1) at temperatures ranging from 91 to 370 K under hydrostatic pressures of up to 9 GPa, which include the range of the phase transition from the orientationally disordered cubic phase to the low-symmetry phase. Anomalies in the spectral parameters due to the phase transition are revealed in the range of vibrations of TiOF5 octahedral groups.

Аннотация: The Raman spectra of the elpasolite (Rb2KInF6) crystal have been studied in the pressure range from 0 to 5.3 GPa at a temperature of 295 K. A phase transition at a pressure of approximately 0.9 GPa has been found. An analysis of the variations in the spectral parameters has led to the conclusion that the phase transition to a distorted phase is accompanied by the doubling of the volume of the primitive cell of the initial cubic phase. Numerical calculations of the lattice dynamics in the Rb2KInF6 crystal have been performed. The numerical simulation has established that the phase transition at a pressure of 0.9 GPa is associated with condensation of the F (lg) mode. A probable high-pressure phase is the phase with space group C2/m.

Аннотация: The behavior of CaBSiO4(OH) datolite compressed in a water medium at simultaneous high temperatures and pressures corresponding to the cold zones of tectonic plate subduction (up to P ~5.3 GPa and T ~250°C) is studied in situ via Raman spectroscopy. Two polymorphic transitions are found: (i) upon an increase of up to 2 GPa in pressure at a constant temperature of 22°C and (ii) upon heating to ~90°C at a constant pressure of ~5–5.3 GPa. Major trends of the variations in the Raman spectra are identified for all phases of the indicated P–T parameters. No overhydration and amorphization of datolite is observed. © 2015, Allerton Press, Inc.

    Behavior of natrolite zeolite and fluorapatite at high pressures in a water medium / S. V. Goryainov, A. S. Krylov, A. N. Vtyurin // Bull. Russ. Acad. Sci.: Phys. - 2013. - Vol. 77, Is. 3. - P. 313-316DOI 10.3103/S106287381303012X
Аннотация: The hysteresises (~0.3–0.4 GPa) of two transitions in natrolite at 0.9 and 1.45 GPa, considerable changes in the Raman spectra, and the appearance of very intense low–frequency mode at 75 cm–1 in the overhydrated phase of high pressure of water medium up to 6.2 GPa are observed for the first time. The depen dences of the band frequencies of this phase are nonlinear, due clearly to changes in the positions of H2 O in the channels. According to Raman data, fluorapatite placed together with natrolite in a water medium in a diamond anvil cell exhibits no transitions up to 6.2 GPa and displays linear pressure dependences of the band frequencies.

Аннотация: The results of structural phase transitions mechanisms study in K3WO3F3oxyfluoride are represented by different experimental and theoretical methods. The structural phase transition anomalies at T1=452 K and T2=414 K of Raman and IR spectra have been analyzed. Using vibrational spectroscopy methods, the NMR-experiment has been done to clarify the nature of found phase transitions: displacive types or order-disorder types. The model of “disordered” crystal was proposed, and the results of lattice dynamics calculation in frameworks of the generalized Gordon–Kim method of ordered (R3) and “disordered” crystals were compared. The high pressure phases were studied by the Raman technique too.

Cu-Fe-S system -- noble metals -- directional crystallization -- intermediate solid solution -- fine inclusions
Аннотация: The quasi-equilibrium directional crystallization of the melt composition (at. %): Cu 24.998, Fe 25.001, S 49.983, with Ag 0.002, Pd 0.003, Ru 0.004, Rh 0.006, and Au, Pt, Ir (each as 0.001) was carried out. The crystallized cylindrical ingot consisted of two primary zones and three secondary zones with different chemical and phase compositions. The compositions of the primary zones corresponded to high-temperature intermediate solid solution (zone I) and liquid enriched in sulfur (zone II). The compositions of the secondary zones corresponded to low-temperature intermediate solid solution and chalcopyrite (zone Ia), the same intermediate solid solution with chalcopyrite and bornite (zone Ib), and again with bornite, chalcocite, and idaite (zone II). We plotted the distribution curves of Fe, Cu, and S along the ingot, calculated the distribution coefficients of the components during directional crystallization, and clearly showed that, from the initial stoichiometric composition CuFeS2, the intermediate solid solution enriched in Fe and depleted in S is crystallized. Based on the data of directional crystallization and thermal analysis, a cross section was constructed in the intermediate solid solution-sulfide melt region of the Cu-Fe-S system. With solubility in the solid Cu-Fe sulfides lying below detection limit of scanning electron microscopy/energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometry (SEM/EDS), noble elements occurred as individual phases of a size more often <10 µm. They were identified as Ag, RuS2, PdS, Au* (an Au based alloy), (Rh, Ir, Ru)3S8, (Rh, Ir)3S8, Rh3S8, and (Cu, Fe)~2(Pt, Rh)1S~5 phases by electron microprobe. Based on ab initio calculations of crystal structure, electronic band structure, and lattice dynamics of idealized laurite RuS2 phase and the idealized Ir3S8, Rh3S8, and Ru3S8 phases, the interpretation of Raman spectrum of the cation-mixed (Ru, Rh, Ir)S2 sulfide was presented for the first time.

High-pressure evolution of encaged hydrocarbons in natural clathrasils / A. Y. Likhacheva [et al.] // XII Int. conf. "GeoRaman-2016" : abstract volume / compiled and edited by T.A. Аннотация: Naturally occurring gas-bearing clathrasils provide evidence for the participation of microporous silicates in hydrocarbons transport within the Earth‟s crust, which is also connected to the gas storage problem. It is therefore important to characterize their high-pressure behavior with the emphasis on the state of the guest molecules and their possible role in the structure evolution, as well as on pressure stability limits of these compounds. We present a comparative high-pressure spectroscopic study of two natural clathrasils, melanophlogite 46SiO2•8X (X = CH4, N2, CO2) (MEP framework isotypic to cubic gas hydrate sI) and chibaite 136SiO2•24X (X = CH4, C2H6, C3H8, C4H10) (MTN framework isotypic to cubic gas hydrate sII) [1,2]. Different /P trends observed for the C-H stretching modes of methane in melanophlogite and chibaite (Fig. 1) are discussed in terms of the “small / large cage” proportion in MEP and MTN framework.

Аннотация: Raman scattering spectra of Rb2KInF6 and Rb2KScF6 crystals have been studied under hydrostatic pressure up to 5.3 GPa at room temperature. Results are interpreted within semiempirical simulations of the lattice dynamics. Observed phase transitions both in Rb2KInF6 and Rb2KScF6 crystals are associated with condensation of soft F-1g phonon mode. High-pressure phases for both crystals are supposed to be of C2/m space group.

Аннотация: Raman scattering spectra of RbMnCl3 are measured at room temperature under high hydrostatic pressure. The results are interpreted based on first principles lattice dynamics calculations. The experimental data obtained correlate with the calculations in the low frequency domain but disagree slightly in the region of high-frequency vibrations. The transition from the hexagonal to the cubic perovskite phase observed earlier (near 0.7 GPa) was confirmed, and new transitions to lower symmetry distorted phases were discovered (at 1.1 and 5 GPa).
