Аннотация: Dielectric spectra of water-containing rocks forming a mineral framework of the oil-saturated bed (clay minerals amount to˂16%) were measured in the frequency range from 500 MHz to 15 GHz and in the temperature range from 20 to 80 °C. A physical model for computing spectra of the dielectric permittivity and effective conductivity of the studied rocks has been elaborated. Its input parameters are water (salt solution) content and temperature. The errors of the computed spectra relative to the measured ones are estimated.

Аннотация: The temperature evolution of the current-voltage characteristic (CVC) of a "break junction" with metal-type conductivity on the polycrystalline La1.85Sr0.15CuO4 high-temperature superconductor is investigated. The CVC exhibits gap peculiarities and hysteresis, which is observed in the region of negative differential resistance. The experimental results are described well in terms of the Kummel-Gunsenheimer-Nicolsky theory for an S-N-S junction (S is a superconductor, N is a normal metal) this theory takes into account multiple Andreev reflection of quasiparticles. It is shown that the shape of the CVC and the existence and the shape of hysteresis are determined by the ratio of "long" and "short" grain boundaries in the polycrystal under investigation. Аннотация: The investigations of the crystal structure, magnetic and electronic properties of Co3BO5 at high temperatures were carried out using powder X-ray diffraction, magnetic susceptibility, electrical resistivity, and thermopower measurements. The orthorhombic symmetry (Sp.gr. Pbam) was observed at 300 K and no evidence of structural phase transitions was found up to 1000 K. The compound shows a strong anisotropy of the thermal expansion. A large negative thermal expansion along the a-axis is observed over a wide temperature range (T = 300–600 K) with αa = −35 M K−1 at T = 500 K with simultaneous expansion along the b- and c-axes with αb = 70 M K−1 and αc = 110 M K−1, respectively. The mechanisms of thermal expansion are explored by structural analysis. The activation energy of the conductivity decreases significantly above 700 K. Electronic transport was found to be a dominant conduction mechanism in the entire temperature range. The correlations between the thermal expansion, electrical resistivity, and effective magnetic moment were revealed and attributed to the evolution of the spin state of Co3+ ions towards the spin crossover and gradual charge-ordering transition.

Аннотация: Structured composite materials CaFe2O4-α-Fe2O3 (α-Fe2O3 content is 2–82 wt.%) are obtained with the method of solid-phase synthesis at 1000 °C. The phase composition of the samples is studied using powder X-ray diffraction. It is shown that the content of CaFe2O4 and α-Fe2O3 phases changes linearly, depending on the composition of the starting material. The scanning electron microscopy data indicate the formation of a two-phase system α-Fe2O3-CaFe2O4. The Mössbauer spectroscopy data at room temperature testify the formation of cationic iron vacancies in the CaFe2O4 crystal structure in the absence of α-Fe2O3 structural defects. Cationic vacancies can be formed during the synthesis in the atmosphere of air.

Аннотация: Processes of chemical exchange of deuterons in partially deuterated ammonium hydrogen selenate, NH4HSeO4 (AHSe), crystals are investigated by means of H-2 nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiments over a wide temperature range. The temperature dependencies of the quadrupole line splittings in the one-dimensional spectra of AHSe above 350 K revealed lineshape changes which are characteristic for chemical exchange processes. A detailed study of these exchange processes in AHSe is achieved by means of two-dimensional H-2 NMR experiments. In the temperature range investigated, a chemical exchange occurs only between those deuteron (proton) sites which are involved in hydrogen bonds (alpha- and beta-positions). It was established that the rates of exchange between all types of hydrogen-bound deuteron are approximately the same. Exchange between these positions and the deuterons in the ND4 groups could not be detected. On the basis of our findings, we finally discuss a model for the microscopic mechanism of hydrogen transport in AHSe.

Аннотация: Single crystals of cobalt oxyborates Co3O2BO 3 and Co3-xFexO2BO3 were synthesized. The crystal structure and electric properties were investigated. The difference in the electrical resistivity behaviors was found. For parent Co3O2BO3 nor simple activation law, nor Mott variable range hopping (VRH) are acquirable to describe the experimental data in wide temperature region. In contrast for Co3-xFex O 2BO3 Mott's variable-range hopping conductivity clearly dominates.

Аннотация: The temperature dependence of resistivity, magnetization, and electron-spin resonance of the α-MnS single crystal were measured in temperature range of 5 K < T< 550 K. Magnetization hysteresis in an applied magnetic field up to 0.7 T at T=5, 77, and 300 K, irreversible temperature behavior of magnetization, and resistivity were found. The obtained data were explained in terms of a degenerate tight binding model using random phase. approximation. The contribution of holes in t(2g) and e(g) bands of manganese ions to the conductivity, optical absorbtion spectra, and charge instability in α-MnS were studied. Charge susceptibility maxima resulted from the competition of the on-site Coulomb interaction between the holes in different orbitals and small hybridization of subbands were calculated at T = 160, 250, and 475 K.
