Аннотация: Due to their unique properties, organosols of silver nanoparticles are widely used in optical and semiconductor devices, to produce electrically and thermally conductive films, as catalysts, antibacterial materials, etc. This work proposes a simple and highly productive method for the preparation of silver organosols, which have a metal concentration as high as 1800 g/L and contain spherical nanoparticles with low polydispersity and a median size of 9.1 nm. The method consists in the initial preparation of silver nanoparticle hydrosols with a concentration of higher than 30 g/L followed by the transfer of the NPs into an organic phase of o-xylene. A set of physical research methods has been employed to study the regularities of the extraction of silver nanoparticles with o-xylene in the presence of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and ethanol and to determine the optimal process conditions, under which the extraction degree is as high as 62.5%. It has been found that bromine anions contained in CTAB molecules cause the aggregation of some amount of silver nanoparticles with the formation of silver metal sediment in the aqueous phase. According to X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy data, the sediment contains bromide ions (up to 4 at %) on the particle surface. Organosols synthesized under optimal conditions are stable for more than 7 months and withstand repeated cycles of drying and redispersing. Silver organosols have been used to obtain metal films with an electrical conductivity of about 68 500 S/cm, which increases to 412 000 and 509 500 S/cm (87.8% of the electrical conductivity of bulk silver) after thermal treatment at 150 and 250°C, respectively.

Аннотация: The structure and phases formed in Sn/Co thin films are interesting both from the solid-state chemistry point of view and due to applications of such a metallic bilayer. The phases forming in thin films Sn/Co obtained by thermal vacuum evaporation on two different substrates SiO2 and MgO(100) at different annealing temperatures have been studied. Annealing above 110°С results in intermetallics formation in the films. The hcp-cobalt is grown in the films on SiO2 substrate, and the fcc-Co is observed on MgO(100) substrate. It is found that the stable α-Co3Sn2 intermetallic is formed at higher annealing temperature in film on MgO(100) substrate. We show that transformations related to mass transfer in the Sn/Co bilayers were up to 500°С and were finished upon reaching the thermodynamically equilibrium phase composition at this temperature.

Аннотация: The interlayer interactions in multilayer systems with a non-magnetic semimetallic interlayer are great of interest. The magnetic and structural properties of the DyxCo1-x/Bi/Py systems (17 ˂ x ˂ 26 at.%) have been studied. The temperature dependences of magnetization in the range 4.2–300 K were measured for the first time. The influence of the bismuth interlayer thickness on the exchange interaction between the DyCo and Py layers was found as well as the critical value of its thickness. The obtained atypical value of the period of exchange bias oscillations was explained by the formation of bismuth compounds with dysprosium–pnictogenides at bismuth thicknesses below the critical value. The interface was investigated by spectral ellipsometry in the range 2–5 eV. The information on the structure of the surface obtained by atomic force microscopy was used to create a multilayer model for fitting experimental ellipsometric data. Analysis of the optical properties showed that pnictogenide Dy3Bi2 is formed at the interface, which affects the general magnetic state of the samples studied.

Аннотация: Using local ferromagnetic resonance spectroscopy, we have studied the magnetic properties near edges of thin tangentially magnetized permalloy films, in which a well-defined uniaxial magnetic anisotropy was induced perpendicular to one of the edges. In the experiment, two samples with thicknesses of 90 and 300 nm and with slightly different compositions were examined. To explain the magnetization dynamics near edges, we propose a simple yet effective model of a film in the form of a rectangular prism, which yields the modified Kittel formula for the resonance frequency. In this formula, the locally averaged distance-dependent demagnetizing field that emerges near the edges is included as an additional uniaxial anisotropy term. The measurements reveal that at a certain distance from the edge, the resulting (apparent) anisotropy, determined from the angular dependencies of the resonance field, almost vanishes. Moreover, its easy axis reorients to become parallel to the edge. The model predictions agree well with these results, proving that the main resonance mode behavior near the film edges can be accurately described by introducing additional effective uniaxial anisotropy, provided the measuring area is relatively large. However, for the thick (300 nm) sample, additional precession modes are also observed. These modes distort the angular dependence of the main mode, thus demonstrating the limitations of the model.

Аннотация: Для адекватных представлений о природе спектральных и оптических свойств одноосных молекулярных (полимерных) пленок необходимы данные об энергетической структуре молекул (мономерных звеньев полимерной цепи – мономеров) и дальнем ориентационном порядке дипольных моментов mq электронных/колебательных переходов. Этот порядок характеризуется параметрами порядка Uq моментов mq относительно оптической оси n пленки. До сих пор опосредованными источниками таких данных служили компоненты nj(ω), kj(ω) показателей преломления Nj(ω) = nj(ω) – ikj(ω) или компоненты ε(1,2)j(ω) диэлектрических проницаемостей εj(ω) = ε1j(ω) – iε2j(ω) пленки для поляризаций световой волны вдоль (j = ||) и нормально (j = ⊥) оси n. Непосредственная информация об энергетической структуре молекул (мономеров) и параметрах Uq содержится в компонентах γ(1,2)j(ω) средних по ансамблю поляризуемостей γj(ω) = γ1j(ω) – iγ2j(ω) молекул (мономеров). В настоящей работе для получения этой информации используются компоненты P(1,2)j(ω) плотностей поляризуемости Pj(ω) = [εj(ω) – 1]/fj(ω) = 4pNγj(ω) = P1j(ω) – iP2j(ω). Здесь fj(ω) = 1 + Lj[εj(ω) – 1] – компоненты тензора локального поля световой волны в пленке; компоненты тензора Лорентца Lj определяются с использованием зависимостей nj(ω) в области прозрачности пленки; N – число молекул (мономеров) в единице объема пленки. Развиты методы определения параметров Uq для молекулярных переходов с использованием зависимостей P(1,2)j(ω) в пределах изолированных полос поглощения, отвечающих данным переходам. Эти методы подтверждены для одноосных пленок сопряженного полимера F8BT с преимущественной ориентацией макромолекул в плоскости пленки XY, оптической осью n||Z и известными зависимостями nj(ω), kj(ω) в областях прозрачности и низкочастотного электронного поглощения. Установлены спектрально-инвариантные соотношения, связывающие функции P(1,2)j(ω) и ε(1,2)j(ω).In order to gain an adequate understanding about the nature of spectral and optical properties of uniaxial molecular (polymer) films, the data about the energy structure of molecules (monomers) and the long-range orientation order of dipole moments mq of electronic/vibrational transitions are needed. This order is characterized by the order parameters Uq of moments mq with respect to the optical axis n of the film. Until now, components nj(ω), kj(ω) of refractive indices Nj(ω) = nj(ω) – ikj(ω) or components ε(1,2)j(ω) of dielectric constants εj(ω) = ε1j(ω) – iε2j(ω) of the film for the light-wave polarizations along (j = ||) and across (j = ⊥) the axis n had been used as indirect sources of such data. The direct information about the energy structure of molecules (monomers) and parameters Uq is contained in the components γ(1,2)j(ω) of ensemble-averaged polarizabilities γj(ω) = γ1j(ω) – iγ2j(ω) of molecules (monomers). In this work, components P(1,2)j(ω) of polarizabilities densities Pj(ω) = [εj(ω) – 1]/fj(ω) = 4pNγj(ω) = P1j(ω) – iP2j(ω) are used for receiving such information. Here, fj(ω) = 1 + Lj[εj(ω) – 1] are the local-field tensor components for the light wave in the film; the Lorentz-tensor components Lj are obtained using the dependences nj(ω) in the transparency region of the film; N is the number of molecules (monomers) per unit volume of the film. Methods for determining parameters Uq for molecular transitions were developed using the dependences P(1,2)j(ω) within the isolated absorption bands corresponding to the transitions. The methods were confirmed for the uniaxial films of the conjugated polymer F8BT with the preferred orientation of macromolecules in the film plane XY with the optical axis n||Z and the known dependences nj(ω), kj(ω) in the transparency and low-frequency electronic absorption ranges. The spectral-invariant correlations connecting functions P(1,2)j(ω) and ε(1,2)j(ω) were established.

Аннотация: In this work, for the first time, films were obtained based on biodegradable polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) - a copolymer of 3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate P(3HB-co-3HV) and a copolymer of 3-hydroxybutyrate-co-4-hydroxybutyrate P(3HB-co-4HB), containing drugs of different chemical structure and action - antibiotics (ceftazidime, doripenem), antiseptic (chlorhexidine) and tissue regeneration stimulator (Actovegin) for drug delivery and cell culture. Using SEM, AFM and measuring the contact angles of water wetting, it is shown how PHAs composition and loading of films of P(3HB-co-3HV) and P(3HB-co-4HB) with drugs affect the porosity, roughness indicators and adhesive properties of the surface. The constructed films are a depot form of drug, the release of which in vitro is realized for a long time, without burst releases, corresponds to Korsmeyer-Peppas and Higuchi models with diffusion character. Films loaded with antibiotics have pronounced antibacterial activity and suppress the development of pathogens S. aureus and E. coli, without a pronounced negative effect on the adhesion and proliferation of epidermal cells. In the cultures of human keratinocytes HaCaT it was shown that the presence of actovegin, as well as ceftazidime in the films, exhibits a stimulating effect, increasing their number. The results demonstrate the suitability of the depot-films for cellular technologies and are promising for the reconstruction of tissues complicated by infection.

Аннотация: The growth and phase formation features, along with the influence of structure and morphology on the electronic, optical, and transport properties of Cr2GeC and Cr2-xMnxGeC MAX phase thin films synthesized by magnetron sputtering technique, were studied. It was found that the Cr:Ge:C atomic ratios most likely play the main role in the formation of a thin film of the MAX phase. A slight excess of carbon and manganese doping significantly improved the phase composition of the films. Cr2GeC films with a thicknesses exceeding 40 nm consisted of crystallites with well-developed facets, exhibiting metallic optical and transport properties. The hopping conduction observed in the Cr2-xMnxGeC film could be attributed to the columnar form of crystallites. Calculations based on a two-band model indicated high carrier concentrations N, P and mobility μ in the best-synthesized Cr2GeC film, suggesting transport properties close to single crystal material. The findings of this study can be utilized to enhance the growth technology of MAX phase thin films.

Аннотация: Рассматривается одноосная пленка сопряженного полимера в плоскости XY с оптической осью Z, состоящая из статистически эквивалентных одноосных доменов среднего размера a. Оптические оси доменов nd хаотично ориентированы в плоскости XY. В области поглощения света домены характеризуются диэлектрическими проницаемостями εj = ε1j + iε2j и показателями преломления Nj = nj + ikj для обыкновенной (j = о) и необыкновенной (j = е) световых волн. Для волн с длиной λ ˃˃ a, волновым вектором k*⊥Z и поляризацией E⊥Z такая пленка является двумерной композитной средой с эффективной диэлектрической проницаемостью ε* = ε1 + iε2 и эффективным показателем преломления N* = n* + ik*. В данной работе получены соотношения, связывающие компоненты ε1*, ε2*, n*, k* с компонентами nj, kj. Для проверки этих соотношений и расчета компонент ε1*, ε2*, n*, k* вместо величин no, ko (ne, ke) использовались экспериментальные значения noA, koA (neA, keA) в областях прозрачности и электронного поглощения для одноосных монодоменных пленок сопряженного полимера F8BT с аксиальной ориентацией (OА) макромолекул относительно оптической оси nA в плоскости XY. Рассчитанные компоненты ε1*, ε2*, n*, k* сравнивались с экспериментальными значениями компонент ε1oP, ε2oP, noP, koP в тех же спектральных областях для обыкновенной световой волны с λ ˃˃ a, k*⊥Z и поляризацией E⊥Z в одноосных полидоменных пленках F8BT с плоскостной ориентацией (OP) макромолекул. Соотношения ε1* ≈ ε1oP, ε2* ≈ ε2oP, n* ≈ noP, k* ≈ koP, установленные здесь с хорошей точностью, показывают близость полидоменных пленок F8BT к идеальному двумерному поликристаллу.An uniaxial film of a conjugated polymer consisting of statistically equivalent uniaxial domains of the average dimension a is considered in the plane XY with the optical axis Z. The optical axes nd of domains are randomly oriented in the plane XY. In the region of light absorption, the domains are characterized by the dielectric constants εj = ε1j + iε2j and the refractive indices Nj = nj + ikj for an ordinary (j = о) and extraordinary (j = е) light waves. For the waves with wavelength λ ˃˃ a, wave vector k*⊥Z and polarization E⊥Z, such polydomain film is two-dimensional composite medium with effective dielectric constant ε* = ε1 + iε2 and effective refractive index N* = n* + ik*. In this work, the relations which connect the components ε1*, ε2*, n*, k* with the components nj, kj were established. For testing the relations and calculating the components ε1*, ε2*, n*, k*, the experimental values noA, koA (neA, keA) were used instead of values no, ko (ne, ke) in the transparency and electronic absorption regions for the uniaxial monodomain films of the conjugated polymer F8BT with axial orientation (OА) of macromolecules with respect to the optical axis nA in the XY plane. The calculated components ε1*, ε2*, n*, k* were compared with the experimental components ε1oP, ε2oP, noP, koP in the same spectral regions for an ordinary light wave with λ ˃˃ a, k*⊥Z, E⊥Z in the uniaxial polydomain F8BT films with in-plane orientation (OP) of macromolecules. The relations ε1* ≈ ε1oP, ε2* ≈ ε2oP, n* ≈ noP, k* ≈ koP established here with good precision show that the polydomain F8BT films are close to the ideal two-dimensional polycrystal.
