Аннотация: Miniature bandpass filter constructions based on a novel dual-mode suspended stripline resonator are proposed. Because of a special structure of the resonator, the frequencies of two first oscillation modes may be brought closer together. That allows realizing narrowband filters with the wide upper stopband. The filters have low insertion loss in the passband at small dimensions. Several transmission zeros substantially improve the filter performance. The derived coupling coeffcients account for some features in the frequency response of the filter. The second-order and fourth-order filters with transmission zeros have been fabricated and measured.

Аннотация: Atomic structure of graphene, bi-, tri-, tetralayer graphenes and graphite as well was studied using ab initio HSE, LDA and PBE DFT approaches in periodic boundary conditions. Based on comparison of theoretical results with experimental data the performance of the methods was estimated. It was found that long-range corrected HSE potential is the most reliable DFT approximation to reproduce the atomic structure of weakly bound multilayer graphenes and graphite as well. Аннотация: A tetragonal phase Sr0.8Gd0.2CoO3−δ with ordered Gd3+/Sr2+ ions and oxygen vacancy sites is found to be about five times less active in the reaction of methane combustion than a quenched cubic perovskite phase with randomly distributed (disordered) Gd3+/Sr2+ ions over the A-sites of the crystal lattice.

Аннотация: Indium-oxide films are synthesized by the autowave-oxidation reaction. It is shown that, upon exposure to optical radiation, the resistance of the films sharply decreases and the maximal relative change in the resistance is 52% at room temperature. Two resistance relaxation rates after termination of the irradiation, 15 Omega s(-1) during the first 30 s and 7 Omega s(-1) over the remaining time, are determined. The data of infrared spectroscopy of the films show that exposure to optical radiation induces a 2.4% decrease in the transmittance at a wavelength of 6.3 mu m. It is found that, after termination of the irradiation, the transmittance gradually increases with a rate of 0.006% s(-1). It is suggested that photoreduction is the dominant mechanism responsible for changes in the electrical and optical properties of the In2O3 films.

Аннотация: We have prepared thin indium oxide films by the autowave oxidation reaction. Measurements of temperature dependence of resistivity, Hall carrier concentration and Hall mobility have been conducted in the temperature range 5-272 K. Before ultraviolet (UV) irradiation, the indium oxide film had a semiconductor-like temperature dependence of resistivity. and the ratio of rho (5 K)/rho(272 K) was very limited (similar to 1.2). It was found that after UV irradiation of the In2O3 film, the metal-semiconductor transition (MST) was observed at similar to 100 K. To show that this MST is reversible and repeatable, two full cycles of 'absence of MST-presence of MST' have been done using UV irradiation (photoreduction) as the induced mechanism and exposure to an oxygen environment as the reversible mechanism, respectively. MST in transparent conducting oxide (TCO) is possibly associated with the undoped structure of metal oxide, which has some disorder of oxygen vacancies. It was suggested that reversible UV induced metal-semiconductor transition would occur in other TCOs.

Аннотация: A ferromagnetic Fe–In2O3 nanocomposite thin film has been synthesized by the thermite reaction Fe2O3+In→Fe–In2O3. Measurements of the Hall carrier concentration, Hall mobility and magnetoresistance have been conducted at room temperature. The nanocomposite Fe–In2O3 thin film had n=1.94·1020 cm−3, μ=6.45 cm2/Vs and negative magnetoresistance. The magnetoresistance for 8.8 kOe was ~−0.22%.The negative magnetoresistance was well described by the weak localization and model proposed by Khosla and Fischer.

Аннотация: A new possibility of changing the activity and selectivity of perovskite catalysts in the oxidative conversion of methane was demonstrated using the Sr x Gd1–x CoO3–δ (0.5 x 0.9) compounds as an example. It was established that, at the same chemical composition, the disordering of Sr2+/Gd3+ ions over the A positions of the crystal structure led to a significant increase in activity in the deep oxidation reaction of CH4, as compared with the samples with an ordered distribution of cations.

Аннотация: Методами термического и рентгеноструктурного анализа в интервале температур 11001473 К изучен процесс взаимопревращения тетрагонального перовскита Sr ( 0.8 ) Gd ( 0.2 ) CoO ( 3-d ) с упорядоченным расположением катионов Sr/Gd и анионных вакансий в кубическую разупорядоченную модификацию. Показано, что фазовое превращение протекает как размытый фазовый переход первого рода. Процесс разупорядочения не зависит от скорости нагрева и контролируется термодинамическими характеристиками процессов в кристалле, тогда как процесс образования упорядоченной тетрагональной структуры контролируется кинетическими факторами. Проведен количественный анализ температурной зависимости теплоемкости на основе размытых фазовых переходов.Process of interconversion of tetragonal Sr(0.8) Gd(0.2) CoO(3-d) (with ordered Sr/Gd cations and anion vacancies) to cubic one (with disordered structure) was studied by X-ray structural and thermal analysis at 1100-1473 K. It was shown that the transformation is a first order diffuse phase transition. The ramp rate does not affect cation and anion vacancies disordering which is controlled by thermodynamic parameters of the processes in the solid whereas cubic to tetragonal transition is kinetically controlled. A theory of diffuse phase transition was applied to quantitatively analyze heat capacity temperature dependence.

Аннотация: A possibility of creating a stable hybrid coating based on the hybrid of a reduced graphene oxide (rGO)/ Ag quasi-periodic mesh (q-mesh) coating has been demonstrated. The main advantages of the suggested method are the low cost of the processes and the technology scalability. The Ag q-mesh coating is formed by means of the magnetron sputtering of silver on the original template obtained as a result of quasi-periodic cracking of a silica film. The protective rGO film is formed by low temperature reduction of a graphene oxide (GO) film, applied by the spray-deposition in the solution of NaBH4. The coatings have low sheet resistance (12.3 Ω/sq) and high optical transparency (82.2%). The hybrid coating are characterized by high chemical stability, as well as they show high stability to deformation impacts. High performance of the hybrid coatings as electrodes in the sandwich-system «electrode – electrochromic composition – electrode» has been demonstrated. The hybrid electrodes allow the electrochromic sandwich to function without any visible degradation for a long time, while an unprotected mesh electrode does not allow performing even a single switching cycle.

Аннотация: Ferrospheres with the Fe2O3 content in the range from 76 to 97 wt% were applied as catalysts for the oxidative coupling of methane (OCM). To identify their phase composition and distribution of iron sites, the ferrospheres were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction and Mossbauer spectroscopy before and after the OCM reaction. Magnetite-based ferrite spinel, hematite and aluminosilicate glasses were established to be the main phases. The ferrospinel of all ferrospheres partially oxidized to hematite after the OCM reaction. It was established that the yield of C-2-hydrocarbons sharply increased at the ferrospheres with Fe2O3 content higher than 89 wt% The spinel phase of these ferrospheres includes Fevv3+(B) sites with a Ca2+ tetrahedral cation and an octahedral cation vacancy among the nearest neighbors. A linear correlation between the yield of C-2-hydrocarbons (ethane and ethylene) and the content of such sites was established, thus indicating that their electrophilic oxygen species participate in selective CH4 conversion to C2H6. Аннотация: The phase transformation behavior of a single-phase tetragonal Sr0.8Gd0.2CoO3-δ (with ordered distribution of Sr2+/Gd3+ cations and anion vacancies) was investigated by TG–DSC and XRD at 1100–1473 K and oxygen partial pressure p(O2) from 1 to 5·104 Pa. The first-order smeared order-disorder (o-d) phase transition involving heat absorption was observed at about 1383 K under O2-Ar flow with p(O2) 2.5 kPa. The crystal structure of the high-temperature phase was found to be cubic perovskite with disordered Sr2+/Gd3+ cations and anion vacancies. The temperature of o-d transition at p(O2) 2.5 kPa was not influenced by the heating rate or oxygen partial pressure. It was shown that at p(O2) 2.5 kPa the o-d transition gives rise to Sr0.8Gd0.2CoO3−δ decomposition to form CoO and Sr2.4Gd0.6Co2O7-δ − Ruddlesden-Popper type phase with novel composition. The phase boundaries between the ordered tetragonal Sr0.8Gd0.2CoO3−δ, disordered cubic Sr0.8Gd0.2CoO3−δ and CoO + Sr2.4Gd0.6Co2O7-δ composite as a function of temperature and p(O2) values were determined.

Аннотация: To obtain white light-emitted diodes (wLEDs) with a low correlated color temperature (CCT) and a high color rendering index (CRI), red-emission is indispensable in their emission spectra. Herein, CaO:Ce3+,Li+,F- yellow phosphors with more red spectral component have been prepared via a high temperature solid-state reaction. As compared to the F- undoped samples, CaO:Ce3+,Li+,F- phosphor have lower critical doping concentration of Ce3+ and show stronger luminescence. At the critical concentration, a quantum efficiency of 66.4% and enhanced thermal and chemical stability were obtained in CaO:Ce3+,Li+,F-. Furthermore, a CaO:Ce3+,Li+,F--based phosphor-in-glass (PiG) using the red-emitting glass system with the composition of SiO2-Na2CO3-Al2O3-CaO:Eu3+ as the host material was constructed and used for high-power white LED applications. Such PiG samples with different phosphor doping concentrations can satisfy various light color demands and display higher reliability than the CaO:Ce3+,Li+,F- phosphor. An optimal PiG-based wLED exhibits color coordinates of (0.3769, 0.3386), a CCT of 3774 K, a CRI of 82.5 and a LE of 73.1 when the mass ratio of phosphor to glass matrix was 7:50 in PiG. Moreover, such PiG-based wLED also showed acceptable color stability under different drive currents. All the above results demonstrate that CaO:Ce3+,Li+,F- can be expected to be a potential alternative yellow phosphor for blue light excited PiG based warm wLEDs, particularly for high-power devices.

Аннотация: We report on thermoelectric properties of low Ge content n-type Si0.9Ge0.1–Mg2Si nanocomposite. Introduction of the Mg2Si phase into a SiGe matrix resulted in a dramatic drop of the lattice thermal conductivity beyond the previously reported lowest limit for SiGe alloys due to intensification of phonon scattering on SiGe–Mg2Si grain boundaries. For a sample doped with 1 at.% of Mg2Si, the peak value of thermoelectric figure of merit ZT reached ~ 0.8 at 800 °C. Sintered nanocomposites still exhibit high thermoelectric performance while being almost two times cheaper than Si0.8Ge0.2.

Аннотация: Highly efficient phosphors with thermal stability and color-tunable emission are required for the fabrication of phosphor-converted white light-emitting diodes (pc-WLEDs). Currently developed engineering strategies are generally successful in photoluminescence tuning but, unfortunately, suffer severe deterioration in emission intensity/efficiency and/or thermal stability. Herein, an efficient aliovalent substitution strategy toward reinforced structural rigidity is proposed and demonstrated experimentally. By incorporating Be2+ ion into the garnet-type Lu2SrAl4SiO12:Ce3+ phosphor, the phosphor shows enhanced internal/external quantum efficiency, from 79.2%/26.7% to 84.5%/32.9%, photoluminescence tuning from green (peaking at ∼512 nm) to yellow (peaking at ∼552 nm), and zero thermal quenching, even up to 200 °C. The Be2+ substitution at the Al2/Si2 site enables stable and rigid local surroundings around the Ce3+ activator, which is responsible for the unprecedented performance. In addition, high-quality warm WLED devices with a luminous efficiency of 158.1 lm W-1, correlated color temperature of 3858 K and high color rendering index of 81.7, are obtained by combining Lu2SrAl4SiO12:Ce3+,Be2+ as the yellow emitter, CaAlSiN3:Eu2+ as the red emitter and a blue-emitting InGaN chip. These findings highlight a new strategy for performance optimization of LED phosphors by selecting rigid covalent compounds with further reinforced structural rigidity via aliovalent substitution.

Аннотация: Intramolecular magnetic interactions in the dinuclear complexes [(tpy)Ni(tphz)Ni(tpy)]n+ (n = 4, 3, and 2; tpy, terpyridine; tphz, tetrapyridophenazine) were tailored by changing the oxidation state of the pyrazine-based bridging ligand. While its neutral form mediates a weak antiferromagnetic (AF) coupling between the two S = 1 Ni(II), its reduced form, tphz•–, promotes a remarkably large ferromagnetic exchange of +214(5) K with Ni(II) spins. Reducing twice the bridging ligand affords weak Ni–Ni interactions, in marked contrast to the Co(II) analogue. Those experimental results, supported by a careful examination of the involved orbitals, provide a clear understanding of the factors which govern strength and sign of the magnetic exchange through an aromatic bridging ligand, a prerequisite for the rational design of strongly coupled molecular systems and high TC molecule-based magnets.

Аннотация: A multimode resonator is proposed, containing five resonant modes that are incorporated in the passband forming. The structure is based on a dielectric substrate suspended in a metallic case that allows solving problem of electromagnetic compatibility. Due to features of the resonator's structure, several higher modes do not excite that significantly improve the performance of the filter's stopband. The resonator advantages are proved on the ultra-wide bandpass filter (101%) with small overall size (0.11λ 0×0.06λ 0×0.03λ 0) and good stopband performance (first spurious band locates at 8 GHz, suppression is 80 dB).

Аннотация: To discover new narrow-band green-emitting phosphors is a challenge for backlighting light-emitting diodes (LEDs) used in liquid crystal displays (LCDs). The synthesis and optical properties of Cs3MnBr5 are demonstrated herein. The intrinsic Mn2+ luminescence without concentration quenching leads to intense green emission at 520 nm with narrow full width at half maximum of 42 nm and high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of 49% under the excitation at 460 nm. When a small amount of Zn2+ is introduced into Cs3MnBr5, the luminescence intensity decreases slightly. However, the thermal stability of Cs3MnBr5 is improved from 82% to 87% with the intensity values at 423 K compared to that at 298 K. The white LED device fabricated using Cs3Mn0.96Zn0.04Br5 (green) and K2SiF6:Mn4+ (red) phosphors with a blue LED chip exhibit a high luminous efficiency (107.76 lm W-1) and wide color gamut (101% National Television System Committee standard (NTSC) in Commission Internationale de L'Eclairage (CIE) 1931 color space), demonstrating its potential application in wide color gamut LCD backlights.

Аннотация: Eu3+-Doped Ba3In(PO4)3 was synthesized through a high-temperature solid-phase method. According to the structure refinement based on X-ray diffraction and density functional theory, the crystal and energy band structures of Ba3In(1−x)(PO4)3:xEu3+ were studied and analyzed in detail. The effect of Eu3+ doping concentrations on emission was studied at an excitation wavelength of 393 nm. For the material Ba3In(1−x)(PO4)3:xEu3+(x = 0.01–0.30), the optimal doping level is confirmed to be 0.18. Due to the thermal quenching differences of Eu3+ at the 5D0 and 5D1 energy levels, and based on the temperature-variable fluorescence intensity ratio between emission peaks, the optical temperature measurement performance of this material in the temperature range from 298.15 K to 623.15 K was characterized, and the maximum absolute and relative sensor sensitivities (Sa and Sr) were determined to be 0.1002 K−1 and 4.058%, respectively. With temperature as the only variable, the color of the phosphor changes from red to yellow light with rising temperature. Besides, Sa and Sr values of this phosphor are comparable to other sensing materials. The results indicate that Eu3+-doped Ba3In(PO4)3 phosphors have great potential to be applied in optical temperature sensing.

Аннотация: The red emission with suitable peak wavelength and narrow band is acutely required for high color rendering index (CRI) white LEDs without at the cost of the luminous efficacy. Herein, the Li2Ca2Mg2Si2N6:Eu2+ red phosphor was prepared with facile solid‐state method using Ca3N2, Mg3N2, Si3N4, Li3N, and Eu2O3 as the safety raw materials under atmospheric pressure for the first time, which shows red emission peaking at 638 nm with full width at half maximum (FWHM) of 62 nm under blue light irradiation and becomes the desired red phosphor to realize the balance between luminous efficacy and high CRI in white LEDs. The morphology, structure, luminescence properties, thermal quenching behavior, and chromaticity stability of the Li2Ca2Mg2Si2N6:Eu2+ phosphor are investigated in detail. Concentration quenching occurs when the Eu2+ content exceeds 1.0 mol%, whereas high‐temperature photoluminescent measurements show a 32% drop from the room‐temperature efficiency at 423 K. In view of the excellent luminescence performances of Li2Ca2Mg2Si2N6:Eu2+ phosphor, a white LEDs with CRI of 91 as a proof‐of‐concept experiment was fabricated by coating the title phosphor with Y3Al5O12:Ce3+ on a blue LED chip. In addition, the potential application of the title phosphor in plant growth LED device was also demonstrated. All the results indicate that Li2Ca2Mg2Si2N6:Eu2+ is a promising red‐emitting phosphor for blue LED‐based high CRI white LEDs and plant growth lighting sources.
