Аннотация: Electrodynamic numerical analysis of 3D models was used in order to study microstrip filters of 4-th and 6-th order. When constructing 2D microwave structures, irregular resonators with Π-shaped slit in a grounded strip conductor were used. The band-pass filters tuned by manual parametric synthesis have high frequency-selective properties, including extended high frequency stopband.

Аннотация: The paper examines the characteristics of the miniature sensor of weak magnetic fields on the resonant microstrip structure with a thin ferromagnetic film. The authors calculated the frequency response of irregular microstrip resonator containing anisotropic magnetic film in quasi-static approximation. The resonator is connected to transmission lines via coupling capacities. The authors determined the optimal directional angles of the constant magnetic displacement field ensuring maximum sensitivity of the sensor. They examined the impact of angular and amplitude dispersion of uniaxial magnetic anisotropy of thin film upon the sensor characteristics. The regularities determined in this research qualitatively agree with the experimental results.

Аннотация: Construction of microstrip bandpass filters is suggested on the basis of 2D electromagnetic crystal consisting of P horizontal and K vertical rows of resonators. Adjacent vertical rows of resonators are connected by additional m K-1 resonators arranged above and below the outside 2D crystal. Parametric synthesis of six bandpass filters based on crystals with the dimension of 1×2, 2×2, 2×3, 3×1, 3×2 and 3×3 was conducted with use of electrodynamic numerical analysis of 3D models in studied constructions. While calculating substrates with relative permittivity ε=80, h=1 mm thick were used, in this connection, center frequency of bandwidth was registered as follows - f 0≈1.0 GHz, as well as their relative bandwidth Δf/f 0≈20%. High frequency-selective properties of the filters are connected not only with the increase of their N order, but also with the presence of amplitude-frequency characteristics of power attenuation poles located near the bandwidth.

Аннотация: The constructions of bandpass filters with irregular quarter-wave resonators are suggested. Due to the high jump of the wave resistance in line segments the microstrip structures have extended high-frequency stopbands. Different alternatives for the location of resonators with a conductor in the form of meander on dielectric substrate were studied. In this regard the use of codirectional resonators helps to improve frequency-selective properties of microwave filters. © 2017 IEEE.

Аннотация: The design of 8-order band-pass filter based on 2-D photonic crystal is suggested. Strip conductors in all dual-mode resonators are in the form of irregular rectangular frame with a gap and are connected at certain points with the ground. At optimal placement of such resonators on a substrate attenuation pole is observed on the amplitude-frequency characteristic of the filter, near low and high bandwidth slope that significantly improves its frequency-selective properties. The change of gap between input and output resonators allows to control the frequency of these poles.

Аннотация: A new method for observation of ferromagnetic resonance spectra is demonstrated. Its operation based on the registering a damping pole in the frequency response of two-resonator microstrip structure containing a sample under investigation. A damping pole arises due to mutual compensation of capacitive (electric) and inductive (magnetic) interactions between the resonators and this compensation get broken in the ferromagnetic resonance.

Аннотация: We propose a new method to match diplexer channels with a common port in which a Π-shaped strip conductor is used as a matching circuit. The applicability of the method is illustrated by simulating and fabricating a microstrip diplexer for GPS/GLONASS applications. The central frequencies of the channels are 1.234 GHz and 1.597 GHz, and their fractional bandwidths are 6.8% and 7.3%, respectively; minimum insertion losses are 1.05 dB and 1.08 dB. The main advantage of the diplexer is its compact size: 16.8 mm × 9.0 mm × 6.4 mm in housing. Using 1D models and a quasi-TEM approach, the frequency-dependent coupling coefficients between the matching circuit and input resonators of the channels are calculated, and the influence of the matching circuit’s geometrical parameters on its coupling with diplexer channels is studied. © 2020, Electromagnetics Academy. Аннотация: Ultra-wideband microwave filters with high frequency-selective properties have been developed by means of electrodynamic numerical analysis of 3D models. Microstrip structures, which are studied theoretically and experimentally, use one multimode resonator and a pair of single-mode resonators. There is fairly good agreement between the calculated data and the data taken on the experimental sample. The relative bandwidth of the manufactured microstrip filter is 60%.

Аннотация: A new construction of a lowpass filter was developed based on a two-dimensional microstrip electromagnetic crystal, which had a steeper slope of the frequency response as compared to a filter consisting of a one-dimensional microstrip electromagnetic crystal. The investigated lowpass filter construction is characterized by a high workability and ease of manufacturing. Electrodynamic numerical simulation of the 3D model of the considered microstrip structure agrees well with the experiment, which allows conducting parametric synthesis of devices with the required properties using a personal computer.

Аннотация: New resonator design employing a hairpin stripline conductor with a stub situated on one side of a dielectric substrate and regular stripline conductors (connected to a screen) on the other side. Eigenfrequencies of the first three oscillation modes of this resonator can be made closer to each other, so that the resonances of two modes are involved in the formation of the passband while the third mode resonance forms a minimum of the transmission coefficient adjacent to the passband. A structure comprising four resonators of this type has the characteristic of an eighth-order bandpass filter arranged in a case with 45 × 16 × 6.25-mm internal dimensions possessing f0 = 0.52 GHz central frequency with a 14% relative bandwidth. The filter is highly selective due to the attenuation poles being close to the pass band and a wide high-frequency stopband extending above a fivefold f0 value at a level of –100 dB.

In the device outer resonators are coupled through an inner resonator containing high-temperature superconducting film. Prototype of the device with central frequency 8.3 GHz and relative bandwidth 7% has insertion loss 3 dB in the open state and signal suppression not less 35 dB in the limitation state.

Аннотация: A compact microstrip resonator based on the interdigital structure is proposed. The resonator has several times higher unloaded quality factor compared to similar resonators presented previously and can even reach the Q-factor of a regular λ/4 resonator. The size of the resonator can be significantly reduced with a substantial increase in quality factor by incrementing the number of fingers in the interdigital structure. In addition, for each gap between the fingers, there exist an optimal number of fingers that correspond to the maximum Q-factor. An extension of the upper stopband for a bandpass filter designed using the resonator can be achieved by the interconnection of the fingers in each of the comb structures. The simulation results are proven by fabricated resonators and a fourpole bandpass filter. For the central frequency of 2000 MHz and 16.2% fractional bandwidth, the lateral size of the filter is only 11.5mm × 3.8 mm for alumina substrate (eps = 9.8). The filter has an upper stopband up to 5.8f0 at the level −40 dB.

Аннотация: New multimode irregular microstrip resonators and designs of wideband bandpass filters based on them are being theoretically and experimentally investigated. A central multimode resonator electromagnetically connected with single-mode or two-mode resonators at the input and output of a structure are used in the developed filters. It is the first experience giving the possibility of combining inherent frequencies up to six lowest modes of oscillations, which are involved in the formation of the bandpass of the multimode resonator. Strong interaction of oscillations modes leads to its significant extension.

Аннотация: In the present work on the base of modified energy approach a behavior of the frequency-dependent coupling coefficient of pair microstrip stepped-impedance quarter-wavelength resonators was investigated. It is revealed that at a certain gap between the resonators the total coefficient of coupling becomes zero due to mutual compensation of coefficients describing inductive and capacitive interactions between the resonators.

Аннотация: The natural frequencies of the multimode microstrip resonator «hairpin with stub» were investigated from its constructive data. Application in the resonator of the stub allows not only to observe on amplitude-frequency characteristic the poles of power attenuation, and also to considerably reduce frequencies of all its even modes of oscillations. At the same time frequencies of odd modes don't change. It allows to use in addition two resonances participating in formation of expanded bandwidth of the filter based on such resonator. High frequency-selective properties of such design are caused not only the poles of power attenuation located as near low-frequency, and high-frequency slopes of bandwidth, but also wide stop band. © 2016 IEEE.

Аннотация: An original microstrip resonator design with a strip conductor split by a slot at one of its ends is investigated. It is demonstrated that at the optimal slot sizes, when the eigenfrequency of the second oscillation mode hits the center between the first and third oscillation modes, the resonator can work as a thirdorder bandpass filter. The structure formed from only two such resonators electromagnetically coupled by split conductor sections is a miniature six-order wideband filter with high selectivity. The test prototype of the filter with a central passband frequency of ~1.2 GHz and a passband width of ~0.75 GHz fabricated on a substrate ~(45 × 11 × 1) mm3 in size with a permittivity of 80 is characterized by minimum loss in a passband of 0.5 dB. The parametric synthesis of the filter structure was performed using electrodynamic analysis of the 3D model. The measured characteristics of the test prototype agree well with the calculated data.
