Аннотация: The simple lattice and magnetic structure, the high Neel temperature, the narrow antiferromagnetic resonance line of FeBO3, and the narrow electron paramagnetic resonance line of its isostructural diamagnetic analogs MBO3:Fe3+(M = Ga, In, Sc, Lu) make iron borate unique for investigations and applications. Iron borate is a model crystal for numerous experimental and theoretical studies, including spin crossovers and metallization at megabar pressures and many-electron effects in optics and X-ray spectroscopy. The recent works dealing with the investigation of the properties of FeBO(3)are reviewed.

Аннотация: The effect of B-site cation ordering on the room temperature structural and ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) properties of single crystal spinel lithium ferrite (LiFe5O8, LFO) have been investigated. A detailed microstructural analysis is done through X-ray diffraction, polarized Raman spectroscopy, and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) to examine the effect of post-annealing on the B-site cation ordering. The X-ray diffraction pattern of the as-grown crystal indicates a disordered state of the crystal. However, the annealed sample shows additional superlattice reflections corresponding to the ordered phase. This ordering is further confirmed by Raman spectra and TEM images, which reveal ordering of Li and Fe ions at the octahedral sites contrasting with the relatively high degree of octahedral site disorder in the as-grown crystal. To study the effect of B-site ordering on the magnetic properties and FMR linewidth, vibrating sample magnetometry and broadband FMR measurements have been performed for both the ordered and disordered phases of lithium ferrite. The value of saturation magnetization for both phases is ∼290 emu/cm3. A single mode FMR profile is observed for both phases with little distortion. The linewidth characteristics of the ordered and disordered phases of lithium ferrite phases are compared, and it is observed that the linewidth is independent of the cation ordering. Both the phases exhibit a low linewidth (∼26 Oe at 30 GHz) and the effective damping parameter for the as-grown and annealed samples is determined to be 0.0021 ± 0.0001.Влияние катионного упорядочения в Б-позициях при комнатной температуре на структурные свойства и ферромагнитный резонанс (ФМР) монокристалла литий железной шпинели (LiFe5O8, LFO) были исследованы. Подробный анализ микроструктуры делается с использованием рентгеновской дифракции, спектроскопии комбинационного рассеяния поляризованного света и просвечивающей электронной микроскопии (ПЭМ), чтобы изучить влияние после отжига на катионное упорядочение в B-позиции. Рентгеновская дифракционная картина, так выращенных кристаллов указывает на беспорядочное состояние кристалла. Тем не менее, пример показывает дополнительные индексы, соответствующие сверхрешетчатой упорядоченной фазы, при отжиге. Этот порядок подтверждается также спектрами комбинационного рассеяния и ТЕМ изображений, которые показывают порядок ионов Li и Fe в октаэдрических контрастными с относительно высокой степенью восьмигранной расстройства позиций в выращенных кристаллах. Для изучения влияния упорядочения В-позиций на магнитные свойства и ширины линии ФМР, вибрационные образцы магнитометрии и широкополосных ФМР измерений были выполнены как для упорядоченных и неупорядоченных фаз литиевого феррита. Значение намагниченности насыщения для обоих фаз ~290 emu / см3. Одиночный профиль в режиме ФМР наблюдается для обеих фаз с небольшим искажением. Ширина линии характеристики упорядоченной и неупорядоченной фаз литиевых ферритов сравниваются, и следует отметить, что ширина линии не зависит от катионного упорядочения. Оба фазы проявляют малую ширину линии (Э около 26 на 30 ГГц) и эффективный параметр демпфирования, как, для только выращенных, так и для отожженных образцов, определяется как 0,0021 ± 0,0001.

Аннотация: Magnetic nanoparticles of iron oxide (MNPs) were prepared by the laser target evaporation technique (LTE). The main focus was on the fabrication of de-aggregated spherical maghemite MNPs with a narrow size distribution and enhanced effective magnetization. X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, magnetization and microwave absorption measurements were comparatively analyzed. The shape of the MNPs (mean diameter of 9 nm) was very close to being spherical. The lattice constant of the crystalline phase was substantially smaller than that of stoichiometric magnetite but larger than the lattice constant of maghemite. High value of M-s up to 300 K was established. The 300 K ferromagnetic resonance signal is a single line located at a field expected from spherical magnetic particles with negligible magnetic anisotropy. The maximum obtained concentration of water based ferrofluid was as high as 10g/l of magnetic material. In order to understand the temperature and field dependence of MNPs magnetization, we invoke the core-shell model. The nanoparticles is said to have a ferrimagnetic core (roughly 70 percent of the caliper size) while the shell consists of surface layers in which the spins are frozen having no long range magnetic order. The core-shell interactions were estimated in frame of random anisotropy model. The obtained assembly of de-aggregated nanoparticles is an example of magnetic nanofluid stable under ambient conditions even without an electrostatic stabilizer. (C) 2013 Author(s). Аннотация: Optical Raman spectra of a ferroelectric sodium nitrite crystal have been detected in a wide spectrum range at various temperatures, including the region of the ferroelectric phase transition. A manifestation of a transverse soft polar mode of the A1(z) type responsible for the ferroelectric phase transition has been discovered in the spectrum at room temperature. This mode has been found to become overdamped even far from the ferroelectric phase transition temperature. This mode also appears as a central peak under heating. It has been found that the pseudoscalar mode of the A2 type has the highest intensity in the Raman spectrum of sodium nitrite. The frequency corresponding to the maximum intensity of this mode in the Raman spectrum varies from 130 cm–1 at 123 K to 106 cm–1 at T = 513 K. A fair agreement of the experimental data for the A1(z) mode with the Lyddane–Sachs–Teller relation has been established. The polariton curves for the A1(z) polar mode and the dispersion curves for axinons has been plotted. © 2016, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.

Аннотация: Raman light scattering spectra of a ferroelectric sodium nitrite crystal is studied in the lattice mode region as the temperature is lowered from room temperature to 123 K. The existence of a Raman satellite corresponding to the soft lattice mode, i.e., transverse polar vibration responsible for the ferroelectric phase transition, is established for the first time. It is found that the intensity of the Raman scattering by the pseudo-scalar low-frequency A (2) mode exceeds the intensity of other lattice variations by an order of magnitude.

Аннотация: Using the d(-1) expansion method (d is the space dimension), we estimate the coordinate of the time-dependent autocorrelation function singular point on the imaginary time axis for the spin 1/2 Heisenberg model on a simple hypercubic lattice at high temperatures. We represent the coefficients of the time expansion (the spectral moments) for the autocorrelation function as the sums of the weighted lattice figures in which the trees constructed from the double bonds give the leading contributions with respect to d(-1) and the same trees with the built-in squares from six bonds or diagrams with the fourfold bonds give the contribution of the next-to-leading order. We find the corrections to the coordinate of the autocorrelation function singular point that are due to the latter contributions.

Аннотация: The results of NMR studies of film structures in a cobalt-germanium system as a function of the cobalt layer thickness are presented. Two phases of cobalt, one is a face-centered cubic phase and the other is presumably a Co-Ge alloy with a weakly ferromagnetic order, have been found to exist. A "dead" layer no more than 2 nm in thickness is formed at the interface.

In addition, we have shown the strong dependence of a resonance frequency F/AF structure on an angle between an external magnetic field and an easy axis of the bilayer.

Аннотация: The magnetization curve and magnetization correlation function are calculated for a ferromagnetic chain of single-domain nanoparticles with a randomly oriented anisotropy axis for different ratios between the exchange correlation and anisotropy energies. It is shown that the coercive force decreases as the exchange correlations increase. For strong exchange correlations, the magnetization curve is described by the following three successive magnetization processes as the applied field is increased: (i) nonuniform rotation of the magnetization of stochastic domains, (ii) collapse of the magnetic solitons, and (iii) nonuniform rotation of exchange-correlated magnetization vectors of the nanoparticles. For high fields, the calculated correlation function of the transverse magnetization components coincides with that predicted from linear theory. At low and zero fields, the main parameters of the correlation function (the variance and correlation radius) tend to certain finite values rather than diverge (as is the case in linear theory). The irreversible variation in the magnetization at low fields (the hysteresis loop) and the hysteresis of the main parameters of the correlation function are calculated.
