    Aksenov, S. V.
Transport properties of Aharonov-Bohm ring with superconducting bridge / S. V. Aksenov // International Workshop "Localization, Interactions and Superconductivity" : Program. - 2018. - P1.
Аннотация: We have considered the Aharonov-Bohm ring which contains superconducting wire with Rashba spin-orbit interaction as a bridge connecting the arms. Using the nonequilibrium Green’s function technique and tight-binding approach transport properties of the device were calculated in linear-response regime. It was shown that the in-plane magnetic-field dependence of conductance has two types of resonance features. If the bridge is in topologically trivial phase and its lowest excitation energy is nonzero the conventional Breit-Wigner peaks defined by the arm energy emerge. When the bridge phase changes to the nontrivial one the Fano resonances appear as a result of the interference of Majorana and arm transport channels. The width of such resonances substantially depends on the degree of localization of the Majorana state. Thus, the considered device can be used to detect these states. Additionally, the effect of Aharonov-Bohm phase on the Fano resonances was analyzed.

Аннотация: We consider a quantum particle in tilted two-dimensional lattices in the tight-binding approximations. We show that for certain lattice geometries the particle can freely move across the lattice in the direction perpendicular to the vector of the static force. This effect is argued to be analog of the photon-induced tunneling in driven one-dimensional lattices. We calculate the particle dispersion relation by using a method based on the Bogoliubov-Mitropolskii averaging technique from the theory of dynamical systems. This dispersion relation draws the analogy with driven one-dimensional lattices further by eventually showing band collapses when a control parameter is varied.

Аннотация: The resonant splitting of optical Tamm state numerically is demonstrated. The Tamm state is localized at the interface between a resonant chiral medium and a polarization-preserving anisotropic mirror. The chiral medium is considered as a cholesteric liquid crystal doped with resonant dye molecules. The article shows that the splitting occurs when dye resonance frequency coincides with the frequency of the Tamm state. In this case the reflectance, transmittance, and absorptance spectra show two distinct Tamm modes. For both modes, the field localization is at the interface between the media. The external field control of configurable optical and structural parameters paves the way for use in tunable chiral microlaser.

Аннотация: The purely classical counterpart of the scattering probability matrix (SPM) \S(n,m)\(2) of the quantum scattering matrix S is defined for two-dimensional quantum waveguides for an arbitrary number of propagating modes M. We compare the quantum and classical structures of \S(n,m)\(2) for a waveguide with generic Hamiltonian chaos. It is shown that even for a moderate number of channels, knowledge of the classical structure of the SPM allows us to predict the global structure of the quantum one and, hence, understand important quantum transport properties of waveguides in terms of purely classical dynamics. It is also shown that the SPM, being an intensity measure, can give additional dynamical information to that obtained by the Poincare maps.

SF6 -- resonant inelastic x-ray scattering -- symmetry selection rules -- ultrafast dynamics -- vibronic couplings
Аннотация: Resonant inelastic x-ray scattering spectra excited at the fluorine K resonances of SF6 have been recorded. While a small but significant propensity for electronically parity-allowed transitions is found, the observation of parity-forbidden electronic transitions is attributed to vibronic coupling that breaks the global inversion symmetry of the electronic wavefunction and localizes the core hole. The dependence of the scattering cross section on the polarization of the incident radiation and the scattering angle is interpreted in terms of local π/σ symmetry around the S–F bond. This symmetry selectivity prevails during the dissociation that occurs during the scattering process.

Cholesteric liquid crystal -- Optical Tamm states -- Localization -- Transmission spectrum -- Optical devices
Аннотация: The modes formed by two coupled chiral optical Tamm states localized at the interfaces between a photonic cholesteric liquid crystal conjugated with polarization-preserving anisotropic mirrors have been analytically and numerically investigated. These modes are only excited at the diffracting polarization of incident light. As the cholesteric layer thickness decreases, the spectral splitting of the localized state frequency is predicted. The splitting value depends on the crystal layer thickness. At the nondiffracting circular polarization, the localized modes are not excited, and the system becomes similar to the Fabry-Perot cavity containing an anisotropic helical structure.

Аннотация: The influence of quasilocal vibrations on the far-infrared spectra of glasses is investigated under the supposition that the quasilocal vibrations are directly inactive in the attenuation. It is shown that taking into account phonon-quasilocal-vibration coupling and both medium- and short-range structure of the inhomogeneities of a photon-phonon coupling parameter can give rise to an attenuation curve similar to one observed for a-SiO2 and related materials.

Аннотация: The temperature dependence of the resistivity of single crystalline Mg1−xCoxFeBO4 samples with x = 0.0, 0.5, 1.0 is investigated for the temperature range (210–400 K). The conduction was found to be governed by Mott variable-range hopping (VRH) in the low-temperature range (T = 210–270 K) and by thermo-activation mechanism in the high-temperature range (T = 280–400 K). Microscopic electronic parameters, such as the density of the localized states near the Fermi level, localization length, the hopping length, and the activation energy have been obtained. The change of the activation energy observed at high-temperature range was attributed to local structure distortions around Fe and Co atoms. The complicated behavior of charge transfer mechanisms is discussed based on two approaches: atomic disorder and electron correlations.

We present the results of an in-plane resistivity study of the solid solutions Fe1-xVxBO3. The measurements were made on single crystals with concentration x = 0.02, 0.13, 0.18, 0.3, 0.95, 1.0 in the temperature range 220-600 K. Semiconducting behaviour for samples with x >= 0.13 was found. Mott variable-range-hopping transport rho(T) = rho(0)exp(T*/T)(alpha) has been observed with alpha = 1/4 at T <290 K, suggesting carrier localization. Above this temperature the activation-type conductivity, with activation energies, E-a, about 1 eV for all samples, is observed. The possible electronic states and band structure of Fe1-xVx BO3 crystals are discussed in the different pressure ranges: P < P-c(Fe), p(c)(Fe) < p < p(c)(V) P > P-c(V) where p(c)(Fe) P-c(V) are the critical pressure values for FeBO3 and VBO3, respectively.
