Аннотация: Triple molybdate NaCaLa(1-x-y)(MoO4)3:xEr3+,yYb3+ (x = y = 0, x = 0.05 and y = 0.45, x = 0.1 and y = 0.2, x = 0.2 and y = 0) phosphors were successfully synthesized for the first time by the microwave sol-gel method. Well-crystallized particles formed after heat treatment at 900 °C for 16 h showed a fine and homogeneous morphology with particle sizes of 2-3 ?m. The structures were refined by the Rietveld method in the space group I41/a. The optical properties were examined comparatively using photoluminescence emission and Raman spectroscopy. Under excitation at 980 nm, the NaCaLa0.7(MoO4)3:0.1Er3+,0.2Yb3+ and NaCaLa0.5(MoO4)3:0.05Er3+,0.45Yb3+ particles exhibited a strong 525 nm emission band, a weaker 550 nm emission band in the green region, and three weak 655 nm, 490 nm and 410 nm emission bands in the red, blue and violet regions. The pump power dependence and Commission Internationale de L'Eclairage chromaticity of the upconversion emission intensity were evaluated in detail. © 2016 The Royal Society of Chemistry.

Аннотация: The structures of double molybdates with general compositions ALn(MoO4)2 (A – alkaline metals, Cu or Tl) have been considered and compared. It has been shown that the ionic radii ratio RLn/RA is a key factor governing crystal symmetry. Different structure fields in ALn(MoO4)2 (A = Li+, Na+, K+, Cu+, Rb+, Ag+, Cs+, Tl+) molybdates have been defined as a function of element composition.

Аннотация: In the process of studying the system Tl2MoO4–In2(MoO4)3–Hf(MoO4)2, a new thallium indium hafnium molybdate was found. The crystal structure of the molybdate Tl5InHf(MoO4)6 was determined in the centrosymmetric space group R3¯c (a = 10.63893 (5) Å, c = 38.1447(3) Å; V = 3739.04 (4) Å3, Z = 6). The structure is a three-dimensional framework consisting of alternating (Hf,In)O6-octahedra connected by МоО4-tetrahedra. Each octahedron has common vertices with tetrahedra. The atoms arranged in this way form channels extended along with the a and b axes, in which thallium atoms are located. The conductivity behavior of Tl5InHf(MoO4)6 ceramics was studied in the temperature range from 300 to 870 K. The conductivity of the heavy cations of thallium is activated with increasing temperature.

Аннотация: Rubidium neodymium dimolybdate, RbNd(MoO4)(2), microcrystals have been fabricated by solid state synthesis at T=550-600 degrees C by t=324 ks. Crystal structure of RbNd(MoO4)(2) has been refined by Rietveld method in space group Pbcn with cell parameters a = 5.1772(1) angstrom, b = 18.7293(4) angstrom, and c = 8.2774(1) angstrom (R-B=5.05%). The crystal structure of RbNd(MoO4)(2) consists of layers of MoO4 tetrahedrons cornersharing with NdO8 square antiprisms. These layers are perpendicular to b-axis of the unit cell. About 20 narrow Raman lines have been observed in Raman spectrum recorded for RbNd(MoO4)(2) powder sample. (C) 2010 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Аннотация: New ternary molybdate Cs2NaBi(MoO4)3 is synthesized in the system Na2MoO4–Cs2MoO4–Bi2(MoO4)3. The structure of Cs2NaBi(MoO4)3 of a new type is determined in noncentrosymmetric space group R3c, a=10.6435(2), c=40.9524(7) Å, V=4017.71(13) Å3, Z=12 in anisotropic approximation for all atoms taking into account racemic twinning. The structure is completely ordered, Mo atoms are tetrahedrally coordinated, Bi(1) and Bi(2) atoms are in octahedra, and Na(1) and Na(2) atoms have a distorted trigonal prismatic coordination. The Cs(1) and Cs(2) atoms are in the framework cavities with coordination numbers 12 and 10, respectively. No phase transitions were found in Cs2NaBi(MoO4)3 up to the melting point at 826 K. The compound shows an SHG signal, I2w/I2w(SiO2)=5 estimated by the powder method. The vibrational properties are evaluated by Raman spectroscopy, and 26 narrow lines are measured.

Аннотация: Orthorhombic terbium molybdate, β΄-Tb2(MoO4)3, microcrystals have been fabricated by solid state synthesis at T = 750-1270 K for t = 290 h. The crystal structure β΄-Tb2(MoO4)3 has been refined by Rietveld method in space group Pba2 with cell parameters of a = 10.35387(6), b = 10.38413(6) and c = 10.65695(7) A (RB = 1.83%). About 40 narrow Raman lines have been observed in the Raman spectrum recorded for the β΄-Tb2(MoO4)3 powder sample. The luminescence spectrum of β΄-Tb2(MoO4)3 has been measured under the excitation at 355 nm, and the intensive photoluminescence band at 540-550 nm has been found. В© 2013 Elsevier Ltd. Аннотация: The microcrystals of monoclinic europium molybdate, alpha-Eu-2(MoO4)(3), have been fabricated by solid-state synthesis at T = 753-1273 K for 300 h. The crystal structure of alpha-Eu-2(MoO4)(3) has been refined by the Rietveld method and was found to belong to the space group C2/c with unit cell parameters a = 7.5576(1), b = 11.4709(2), c = 11.5158(2) angstrom, and beta = 109.278(1)degrees (R-B = 3.39%). About 40 narrow Raman lines have been observed in the Raman spectrum of the alpha-Eu-2(MoO4)(3) powder sample. The luminescence spectra of alpha-Eu-2(MoO4)(3) under excitation at 355 and 457.9 nm reveal domination of induced electric dipole transition D-5(0) - F-7(2) and the presence of ultranarrow lines at D-5(0) - F-7(0) and D-5(1) - F-7(0) transitions.

Аннотация: In this work we have successfully synthesized pure phases of Tl1.85M0.15Mg2(MoO4)3 (M = K, Rb) langbeinite powders using the solid-state reaction method. Structural characterization was carried out via the Rietveld method on the X-ray powder diffraction data. The following unit cell parameters are calculated for Tl1.85K0.15Mg2(MoO4)3: a = 10.68509(16) A, V = 1219.93(6) A3, and for Tl1.85Rb0.15Mg2(MoO4)3: a = 10.69463(9) A, V = 1223.20(3) A3. The electrical conductivity was studied by impedance spectroscopy in the [473–1010 K] temperature range and results show that the Tl1.85M0.15Mg2(MoO4)3 (M = K, Rb) were ionic solid electrolyte conductors. Results also show that Tl1.85K0.15Mg2(MoO4)3 has the highest electrical conductivity.

Аннотация: Thallium scandium hafnium molybdate Tl5ScHf(MoO4)6 and thallium scandium zirconium molybdate Tl5ScZr(MoO4)6 crystallize in trigonal symmetry with the space group . The compounds are synthesized by sintering the finely powdered simple molybdates mixture in a muffle furnace at 723–823 ​K for 100 ​h. The crystal structures of Tl5ScHf(MoO4)6 and Tl5ScZr(MoO4)6 are obtained by Rietveld method. The following unit cell parameters are calculated for Tl5ScHf(MoO4)6: a ​= ​10.62338 (5), c ​= ​38.0579 (2) Å, V ​= ​3719.64 (4) Å3, Z ​= ​6 and for Tl5ScZr(MoO4)6: a ​= ​10.63216 (7), c ​= ​38.0716 (3) Å, V ​= ​3727.14 (5) Å3, Z ​= ​6. The conductivity of the Tl5ScHf(MoO4)6 and Tl5ScZr(MoO4)6 are measured between 293 and 860 ​K. The ionic conductivity of Tl5ScHf(MoO4)6 and Tl5ScZr(MoO4)6 molybdates are 8 ​× ​10−4 ​S/cm and 8 ​× ​10−3 ​S/cm (at 773 ​K); the activation energy of ionic transfer are 0.8 ​eV and 0.3 ​eV respectively.

Аннотация: The triple molybdates M5CrHf(MoO4)6 (M = K, Tl) and TlCrHf0.5(MoO4)3 were found upon studying the corresponding ternary molybdate systems M2MoO4–Cr2(MoO4)3–Hf(MoO4)2 (M = K, Tl) in the subsolidus region using X-ray powder diffraction. The crystal structures of M5CrHf(MoO4)6 (M = K, Tl) and TlCrHf0.5(MoO4)3 are refined by Rietveld method. M5CrHf(MoO4)6 (M = K, Tl) crystallizes in space group Rc with unit cell parameters: a = b = 10.45548 (5), c = 37.24614 (3) Å, V = 3526.14 (4) Å3, Z = 6 for K5CrHf(MoO4)6 and a = b = 10.53406 (12), c = 37.6837 (5) Å, V = 3621.39 (9) Å3, Z = 6 for Tl5CrHf(MoO4)6. TlCrHf0.5(MoO4)3 crystallizes in space group R with unit cell parameters: a = b = 12.9710 (2), c = 11.7825 (2) Å, V = 1716.78 (6) Å3, Z = 6. The thermal stability and electrical conductivity of the new compounds were investigated. Electrical conductivity measurements gave high values for the triple molybdates M5CrHf(MoO4)6 (M = K, Tl) (σ = 5.22 × 10−4 S / cm for K5CrHf(MoO4)6, σ = 1.1 × 10−2 S / cm for Tl5CrHf(MoO4)6 at 773 K) and relatively low values for the triple molybdate TlCrHf0.5(MoO4)3 (σ = 4.42 × 10−6 S / cm at 773 K).

Аннотация: Subsolidus phase relations in the M2MoO4–Sc2(MoO4)3–Hf(MoO4)2 (M ​= ​Li, K) systems have been studied by the method of “intersecting cuts”. No new triple molybdates have been identified in the Li2MoO4–Sc2(MoO4)3–Hf(MoO4)2 system and a new triple molybdate K5ScHf(MoO4)6 is formed in the K2MoO4–Sc2(MoO4)3–Hf(MoO4)2 system. The structure of K5ScHf(MoO4)6, have been determined in space group Rc through Rietveld analysis of X-ray powder diffraction data. The melting point of molybdate is 999 ​K. Аннотация: Novel K5-xTlx(Mg0.5Hf1.5)(MoO4)6 (0 ≤ х ≤ 5) oxides were successfully synthesized by solid state reaction. The results indicate the formation of a continuous series of solid solutions with the NASICON-like structure (sp. gr. R3¯c) in the composition range 0 x 5. The unit-cell parameters of the solid solutions increase linearly with composition, as a consequence of thallium substitution for potassium. The cation conductivity of Tl5Mg0.5Hf1.5(MoO4)6 has been shown to exceed the conductivity of the parent potassium magnesium hafnium molybdate. The highest total conductivity of 2.49 × 10−3 S/cm was found at 831 K for Tl5Mg0.5Hf1.5(MoO4)6.

Аннотация: Microcrystals of orthorhombic rubidium samarium molybdate, beta-RbSm(MoO4)(2), have been fabricated by solid state synthesis at T = 450 degrees C, 70 h, and at T = 600 degrees C, 150 h. The crystal structure has been refined by the Rietveld method in space group Pbcn with cell parameters a = 5.0984(2), b = 18.9742(6) and c = 8.0449(3) angstrom (R-B = 1.72%). Thermal properties of beta-RbSm(MoO4)(2) were traced by DSC over the temperature range of T = 20-965 degrees C, and the earlier reported β ↔ α phase transition at T similar to 860-910 degrees C was not verified. The electronic structure of beta-RbSm(MoO4) 2 was studied by employing theoretical calculations and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. It has been established that the O 2p-like states contribute mainly to the upper part of the valence band and occupy the valence band maximum, whereas the Mo 4d-like states contribute mainly to the lower part of the valence band. Chemical bonding effects have been analysed from the element core level binding energy data. In addition, it was found that the luminescence spectrum of beta-RbSm(MoO4)(2) is rather peculiar among the Sm3+ containing materials. The optical refractive index dispersion in beta-RbSm(MoO4)(2) was also predicted by the first-principles calculations.

Аннотация: Double molybdate scheelite-type solid-solution phosphors Li1−xAgxLu1−y(MoO4)2:yEu3+ were synthesized by the solid state reaction method, and their crystal structures and luminescence properties were investigated in detail. The composition modulation and structural evolution of this series of samples were studied and the selected AgEu(MoO4)2, AgLu(MoO4)2, LiLu(MoO4)2 and LiEu(MoO4)2 phases were analyzed based on the Rietveld refinement. Depending on the variation of the Li/Ag ratio in Li1−xAgxLu1−y(MoO4)2:yEu3+ phosphors, the difference in the luminescence properties of Li1−xAgxLu1−y(MoO4)2:yEu3+ phosphors was ascribed to two factors, one reason could be assigned to the coupling effect and the nonradiative transition between the energy levels of LixAg1−xLu(MoO4)2 matrices and the activator Eu3+, another could be due to the near ultraviolet energy absorption and transmission efficiency between the charge-transfer (CT) band of O2−–Mo6+ and the 4f → 4f emissive transitions of Eu3+. The ultraviolet-visible diffuse reflection spectra (UV-vis DRS) and Raman spectra analysis were also used to verify the above mechanism.
