Аннотация: When associative memory is implemented on the well-studied Hopfield network, patterns are recorded in the interaction constants between binary neurons. These constants are chosen so that each pattern should have its own minimum energy of the system described by the Ising model. In the quantum version of the Hopfield network, it was proposed to recall such states by the adiabatic change of the Hamiltonian in time. Qubits, quantum elements with two states, for example, spins with S=1/2 were considered as neurons. In this paper, for the first time, we study the function of associative memory using three-level quantum elements-qutrits, represented by spins with S=1. We record patterns with the help of projection operators. This choice is due to the need to operate with a state with a zero spin projection, whose interaction with the magnetic field vanishes. We recall the state corresponding to one of the patterns recorded in the memory, or superposition of such states by means of quantum annealing. To equalize the probabilities of finding the system in different states of superposition, an auxiliary Hamiltonian is proposed, which is turned off at the end of evolution. Simulations were performed on two and three qutrits and an increase in the memory capacity after replacing qubits with qutrits was shown.

Аннотация: The paper presents the results of the formation and study of the morphological and structural characteristics of the mesoporous ZnO / Al2O3 nanofibers film (ZANF). The deposition of a ZnO layer on Al2O3 nanofibers film (ANF) ~ 1 µm thick was carried out by the method of atomic layer deposition. The morphology of the mesoporous composite layer ZnO / Al2O3 (ZANF) has been studied by scanning and transmission electron microscopy. It is shown that in the process of atomic layer deposition, the ZnO layer grows according to the Stranski-Krastanov mechanism. A ZnO layer less than 5 nm thick gives an island structure in which Al2O3 nanofibers are uniformly coated with ZnO particles, an increase in the ZnO layer thickness to 15 nm demonstrates a continuous coating of Al2O3 nanofibers. The system has a core-shell structure. The resulting composite structures are promising for applications in photocatalysis and gas sensing.

Аннотация: The automated system for measuring ferromagnetic resonance spectra in the radio frequency range has been developed for measuring magnetic characteristics of thin films. The system allows measuring the spectrum of ferromagnetic resonance at a frequency of 12 MHz with a field step of 0.01 Oe (constant or variable) and with 0.0125° angle resolution. Automatic determination of the anisotropy field and automatic sensitivity adjustment of the measuring system allows obtaining data from permalloy thin magnetic films samples with thickness less than 50 nm. Measurements can be carried out with different directions of external magnetic fields (in the plane of the TMF sample) and with rotation of the sample in the external magnetic field. This is achieved by the independent automatic rotation of the sample and high-frequency Helmholtz coils. Processing and transmission of the received data in the digital form provides automatic processing and representation of measurement results on the PC screen. The measurement results can be used for TMF study, assessing the quality, rejection and further use in finished devices.

Аннотация: In this work, the possibility of the remote measurement of reflection coefficient in the ultra-wide frequency range from 425 MHz to 1010 MHz from the board of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) using ultra-wide band (UWB) radar was investigated. With this in mind, the antenna-feeder path of UAV UWB radar is calibrated. The calibration process consisted in measuring the reflection coefficient from the brass mesh sheet at various UAV hovering heights. Printed log-periodic dipole antenna was used as transmitter-receiver antenna. As a result, the antenna return loss in an empty-room and the complex antenna response function of the antenna-feeder path of the UAV UWB radar were found. It is shown that the amplitude of the reflected wave from a brass mesh sheet can be measured with root-mean square error (RMSE), RMSE=0.017 1/m and a determination coefficient (R 2 ) of R 2 = 0.967. Therewith the UAV hovering heights measured by the pulse method and the on-board laser rangefinder correlates with each other with R2=0.999 and with RMSE=3.5cm (distance measurement error of the laser rangefinder is ±1cm, surface irregularities of the brass mesh sheet were no more than 1.5cm). Measured in the frequency range from 500 MHz to 900 MHz, the reflection coefficient from fresh lake water by UAV UWB radar with a relative error of no more than 7.5% (practically does not depend on the height of the UAV hovering, approximately from 2.2 m to 5.2 m) coincides with the calculated one by the Stogryn's formulas.

Аннотация: Clustering is grouping of data by the proximity of some properties. We report on the possibility of increasing the efficiency of clustering of points in a plane using artificial quantum neural networks after the replacement of the two-level neurons called qubits represented by the spins S = 1/2 by the three-level neurons called qutrits represented by the spins S = 1. The problem has been solved by the slow adiabatic change of the Hamiltonian in time. The methods for controlling a qutrit system using projection operators have been developed and the numerical simulation has been performed. The Hamiltonians for two well-known clustering methods, one-hot encoding and k-means, have been built. The first method has been used to partition a set of six points into three or two clusters and the second method, to partition a set of nine points into three clusters and seven points into four clusters. The simulation has shown that the clustering problem can be effectively solved on qutrits represented by the spins S = 1. The advantages of clustering on qutrits over that on qubits have been demonstrated. In particular, the number of qutrits required to represent N data points is smaller than the number of qubits by a factor of log 2N/ log 3N. For qutrits, the simplest is to partition the data points into three clusters rather than two ones. At the data partition into more than three clusters, it has been proposed to number the clusters by the numbers of states of the corresponding multi-spin subsystems, instead of using the numbers of individual spins. This reduces even more the number of qutrits (Nlog 3K instead of NK) required to implement the algorithm.

Аннотация: This paper describes the information system, which has been developed for the storing and automated processing of the Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity (SMOS) Level 1C radiometric and Level 2 soil moisture data over space and time. The information system contains the database for storing the data and the interface for automated processing. That interface has been developed to provide access to these specific data from the database within the Matlab numerical computing environment used for the realization of algorithms and methods. The developed information system helps to speed up the processing of SMOS data in regional scale over a long period of time, and has successfully been used for the validation of soil temperature and moisture retrieval algorithms over the North Slope of Alaska and Yamal peninsula. © 2015 IEEE.

Аннотация: In this paper demountable K/Q bands feed for satellite communication Cassegrain antenna is reported. The feed is based on the combined coaxial-circular waveguide, in which outer wall of a circular waveguide is used as an inner conductor of a coaxial waveguide. This design allows to simultaneously transmit and receive signals in two widely separated frequency bands. A coaxial joint, which is the key part of the feed, is proposed and described in details. The joint performs several functions. First is to transmit the microwave energy through both waveguides. Second is ensuring the waveguides sealing. And third is ensuring the circular and coaxial waveguides alignment. The joint simulation results demonstrated return loss below-20 dB and insertion loss less than 0.06 dB in 20-21 GHz frequency range (K-band) as well as return loss below-30 dB and insertion loss less than 0.15 dB in 43-45.5 GHz frequency range (Q-band). Mechanical prototype of the joint was manufactured and tested.

Аннотация: This paper presents analysis of optical images of films obtained by evaporation (293 K) of a thin layer of low-concentrated (1% wt.) aqueous soot suspensions in a Petri dish. Suspensions of wood, fullerene and diamond-containing (after detonation synthesis) soot were prepared using hydrodynamic dispersion in a cavitation mixer with a wedge-shaped cavitator with the rotor's angular velocity of rotation being 10000 rpm. The components of the hydrodynamic dispersion process are turbulent micro-mixing and bubble cavitation. As a result of intense turbulence, carbon suspensions assumed properties of non-equilibrium systems. The images of an optical microscope revealed self-organized dissipative micron-sized structures in the dried films being present there in the form of chain, branched and ring-shaped cluster fractals of various dimensions that look very similar to nanotubes. The self-assembling effect was identified for all the types of suspensions under study. The EPR method was used to study the change in the electronic structure of soot resulting from the exposure to high temperatures and pressures that occur when the cavitation bubbles collapse (cavitational activation). The dynamics of changes in dissipative structures in the process of film drying was monitored.

Аннотация: Coal-water slurry (CWS) is the basis of modern alternative fuel - coal-water fuel (CWF). To produce stable coal-water slurry, i.e. coagulation and separation is an important technological problem. The paper studies CWS the disperse part of which is fine brown Kansk-Achinsk coal, the dispersive part is distilled water. Effect of cavitational conditioning on CWS stability has been studied. The efficiency was for the first time studied by magnetic resonance tomography (MRT). In the experiment spin-lattice relaxation time profiles T1 were recorded along the central vertical axis of the samples. T1 dynamics correlates well with the local density of CWS solid phase. MRT data was sequentially interpreted with rheological characteristics of CWS. Feasibility of applying MRT method to find out time and space evolution of CWS has been estimated. The MRT methods has been shown to be efficient in resolution of technological problems to improve consumer properties of the coal-water fuel.

Reliable inhibitors of colonies of all five test bacteria were nanoparticles FeP@Ag. CoP nanoparticles are reliable inhibitors of growth of 4 test bacteria (except for test bacteria Escherichia сoli). NiP nanoparticles are reliable inhibitors of growth of 2 test bacteria: Escherichia сoli and Klebsiella pneumoniae. Bacteria Escherichia сoli were most sensitive to the effect of magnetic nanoparticles; and bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus were most resistant to the effect of magnetic nanoparticles. The prospects of the method are in the possibility of multiple reuse of the magnetic particles with antimicrobial properties for bacterial decontamination of the studied sources of water and removal of magnetic nanoparticles from the treated liquids by electromagnet. The method can find use in water treatment facilities for household, Industrial and medical wastes.

Аннотация: The reflection spectra of cholesteric liquid crystals dispersed in polymer and comprising pyrimidine dopes are investigated in the entire temperature range of the mesophase existence. One or several oxyphenyl substituents in an ortho position implemented into a pyrimidine system induce the second reflection region. The reflection curves for different wavelengths corresponding to regions I and II merge with temperature. Thermodynamically equilibrium states of polymer-dispersed cholesterics under the influence of polar pyrimidine dopes are considered. The pyrimidine effect is modulated by the orientational near-surface potential. The existence of two space regions of a spherical droplet with different helix pitches is validated. The natural helix pitch is retained inside the droplet while a new pyrimidine-induced pitch is formed in a layer close to the droplet surface. The results obtained describe the existence of two reflection regions and the temperature behavior of the helix pitch.

Аннотация: We consider the problem of time-optimal control of quadrupole nucleus with the spin I = 1 by NMR. In contrast to the conventional methods based on selective pulses, the control is implemented using nonselective pulses separated by free-evolution intervals. Using the Cartan decomposition, the system of equations is obtained for finding parameters of a control field. Partial time-optimal solutions for the important single-qutrit gates (selective rotations and quantum Fourier transform) are found. The strong dependence of minimum gate implementation times on global phase of the gate is observed. The analytical values of minimum times are consistent with the numerical data.

Аннотация: The evolution of solvent and solute diffusivity during fluid-solid phase transition was studied in model wax in n-dodecane solutions in a wide concentration range. Studied systems were characterized using viscosity measurements to provide supplementary information related to wax precipitation onset, while diffusion coefficients of n-dodecane and paraffin molecules were quantified using Pulsed Field Gradient (PFG) NMR. It was revealed that above the wax appearance temperature (WAT), the Hayduk-Minhas equation adequately predicts the solute and solvent diffusivity. At lower temperatures (below the WAT), three distinct diffusive components appear, which no longer originate from individual molecular components but correspond to a liquid phase differing in terms of association to the wax crystal network. These diffusion components were concluded to contain dodecane and the residual dissolved wax; the major components among them correspond to fluid, which relatively freely diffuses between the wax microcrystals and experiences the hindrance due to the wax gel network, and the minor components correspond to the fluid closely associated with the wax crystals. Unlike at high temperatures, the Hayduk-Minhas equation was found to be unable to predict adequately the diffusivity below the WAT. Using Singh's approach, the aspect ratio of wax crystals was calculated for different temperatures and concentrations and its complex nonlinear behavior was observed. It turned out that none of the models available differentiate the fluids with respect to the wax crystal network that leaves out of modeling the diffusion components with reduced mobility. The results indicate that the intuitive paradigm of component-dependent dynamics of solvent and solute diffusivity should be changed to phase-dependent dynamics once the system turns into wax gel since the diffusion of separate components becomes the diffusion of separate phases. This understanding shows a new route to improving the wax deposition modeling, which will facilitate an increase of effectiveness of the remedial strategies in the petroleum industry.

Аннотация: Electrodynamic numerical analysis of 3D models was used in order to study microstrip filters of 4-th and 6-th order. When constructing 2D microwave structures, irregular resonators with Π-shaped slit in a grounded strip conductor were used. The band-pass filters tuned by manual parametric synthesis have high frequency-selective properties, including extended high frequency stopband.

Аннотация: Polymer dispersed cholesteric liquid crystal (PDChLC) films exhibiting a large hysteresis of the volt-contrast curve were used for laser addressed information recording. Switching over ofthe bistable state was provided by a local heating of the PDChLC film due to the thermal effect of the light A proper dye was added to ChLC to increase the light absorption and thus improve sensitivity of the method. Unlike the photoaddressed method [1], here recording is possible not only in a normal mode (a transparent spot against a scattering background), but in a reverse mode too. With this method no photoconductive layer is required in the cell design. Image recording with grey levels was obtained by varying the duration or the amplitude ofthe laser pulse.
