Аннотация: This Letter studies the dynamics of transitions between the levels of a Wannier-Stark ladder induced by a resonant periodic driving. The analysis of the problem is done in terms of resonance quasienergy states, which take into account the metastable character of the Wannier-Stark states. It is shown that the periodic driving creates from a localized Wannier-Stark state an extended Bloch-like state with a spatial length varying in time as similar to t(1/2). Such a state can find applications in the field of atomic optics because it generates a coherent pulsed atomic beam. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.

Аннотация: Предложена схема и описано устройство стабилизации параметров механических колебаний образца для высокотемпературного вибрационного магнитометра, в котором применен прямой метод измерений. Применение данного устройства позволяет существенно уменьшить погрешность измерений. Относительная нестабильность амплитуды колебаний составляет 10-4, а частоты - 10-5. Экспериментальная установка предназначена для проведения измерений магнитного момента образцов от 5•10-4 до 50 Гс•см3 в интервале температур 300-1000 К и магнитных полей 0-(±15) кЭ.
Scheme and structure of sample mechanical oscillation parameters stabilization for high temperature vibrating magnetometer in which direct measuring method is used is described. This device allows to reduce significantly error of measuring. The relative instability of vibration amplitude makes 10-4, and frequencies - 10-5. The experimental apparatus is intended for measuring of magnet moment of samples from 5•10-4 to 50 gs•cm3 in the range of temperatures 300-1000 K and magnetic fields 0-(±15) kOe.

Аннотация: The effect of strong intersite Coulomb correlations on the formation of the electron structure of the t-V model has been studied. A qualitatively new result indicating the occurrence of a split-off band of Fermi states has been obtained. The spectral intensity of this band increases with an increase in doping level and is determined by the mean-square fluctuation of occupation numbers. This results in the transformation of the energy structure and the integrated density of states and in a further decrease in state occupation in the quasimomentum space near the Fermi level as compared with Hubbard renormalization. It has been shown that this effect leads to an increase in the area of the quasimomentum space part limited by the Fermi contour and is important for the analysis of the de Haas-van Alphen oscillations in cuprate superconductors.

Аннотация: An effective method based on linearization of the Landau-Lifshitz equation has been developed to determine normal magnetization oscillation modes in a discrete model of a condensed medium. The possibility to calculate microwave absorption spectra for ferromagnetic specimens of any shape is shown.

Аннотация: A straight split dual-mode microstrip resonator is proposed. The frequencies of the two first oscillation modes in the resonator may be brought closer together by adjusting a split parameter whereas the frequency of the third mode remains approximately equal to the doubled average frequency of the first and the second modes. It is shown that formulas derived within 1D model give qualitatively true relations between the resonant frequencies and the structure parameters of the resonator. Examples of narrowband bandpass filters of the fourth and the sixth order are described. Transmission zeros below and above the passband substantially improve the filter's performance. The simulated frequency response of the three-resonator dual-mode filter is compared with the measured response of the fabricated filter.

Аннотация: Miniature bandpass filter constructions based on a novel dual-mode suspended stripline resonator are proposed. Because of a special structure of the resonator, the frequencies of two first oscillation modes may be brought closer together. That allows realizing narrowband filters with the wide upper stopband. The filters have low insertion loss in the passband at small dimensions. Several transmission zeros substantially improve the filter performance. The derived coupling coeffcients account for some features in the frequency response of the filter. The second-order and fourth-order filters with transmission zeros have been fabricated and measured.

Аннотация: The dependence of the exchange bias of epitaxial single-crystal Co/Cu/CoO trilayer films on the copper layer thickness and temperature is studied. The exchange bias of the hysteresis loops of the ferromagnetic cobalt layer as a function of the copper layer thickness is found to have a well-pronounced oscillating character. The oscillations manifest themselves over the entire temperature range in which an exchange bias takes place (77-220 K). The complex variation of the oscillation amplitude with the nonmagnetic layer thickness can be explained by the superposition of two interlayer exchange coupling oscillation periods (lambda(1) a parts per thousand 10-11 , lambda(2) a parts per thousand 20 ) having differentamplitudes and temperature dependences.
