Аннотация: It is shown that for an optimal substrate thickness ALD technology will be promising for IF bandpass filter designing. A two-conductor stripline ALD resonator with central frequency 200 MHz will have Q-factor 53 with total length 3.7 mm (0.0025λg) and the frequency separation of the first and the second oscillation modes up to 59. Two bandpass filters for VHF and UHF designed and fabricated for commercial application display good agreement between the simulation and the experiment. A 3-pole bandpass filter with central frequency 255 MHz and lateral size 15.8×3.2 mm2 has stopband width 13.5f0 , and a 6-pole bandpass filter with central frequency 1250 MHz and lateral size 4.4×5.1 mm2 has stopband width 9.4f0.

Аннотация: PMMA opal crystal was prepared by a simple hybrid method, which includes sedimentation, meniscus formation and evaporation. We investigated three surfaces of this crystal by angle-resolved reflective light spectroscopy and SEM study. The angle-resolved reflective measurements were carried out in the 400–1100 nm range. We have determined the high-quality ordered surface of the crystal region. Narrow particle size distribution of the surface has been revealed. The average particle diameter obtained with SEM was nearly 361 nm. The most interesting result was that reflectivity of the surface turned out up to 98% at normal light incidence. Using a fit of dependences of the maximum reflectivity wavelength from an angle based on the Bragg–Snell law, the wavelength of maximum 0° reflectivity, the particle diameter and the fill factor have been determined. For the best surface maximum reflectivity wavelength of a 0° angle was estimated to be 869 nm. The particle diameter and fill factor were calculated as 372 nm and 0.8715, respectively. The diameter obtained by fitting is in excellent agreement with the particle diameter obtained with SEM. The reflectivity maximum is assumed to increase significantly when increasing the fill factor. We believe that using our simple approach to manufacture PMMA opal crystals will significantly increase the fabrication of high-quality photonic crystal templates and thin films

Аннотация: This paper presents a ferrite tunable waveguide filter showing high Qu and high tunability in X-band. A new type of waveguide cavity resonator with an H102 operating mode was proposed for the creation of a low-loss, two-pole filter. The filter results in an insertion loss of 3.6-4.1 dB over the tuning range 8.74-9.63 GHz with a relative bandwidth of 0.92-0.79% and biasing magnetic field 0-600 Oe. This design demonstrates an unloaded quality factor of 380-396 over the tunable frequency range. © 2016 IEEE.

Аннотация: An electrodynamic analysis of an optical resonator comprising a half-wavelength dielectric layer that is covered from both sides by quarter-wavelength layers with higher and lower refractive indices (RIs) is carried out.For such a resonator, the dependences of the external quality factor on number and RIs of the layers are obtained first. That allows one to determine minimum number of the layers in the structure to achieve the required quality factor at practically any contrast of the RIs. The results of this study provide an easy way to optimize the structures of 1D photonic crystal devices, particularly high-selectivity bandpass filters.

Аннотация: We consider resonant modes of two dielectric identical particles which can be classified as symmetric and anti symmetric combinations of the resonant modes of individual particles. We show that an approaching of two particles gives rise to an avoided crossing of resonant poles because of interaction between the disks. That in turn results in strong enhancement of the quality factor factor of two disks compared to isolated disks.

Аннотация: SOEC temperature dependences of different quality quartz crystals were studied. The simplified phenomenological theory was applied to calculate second order elastic constant temperature dependences. The bulk acoustic waves propagation under the bias of temperature field or of the uniaxial mechanical pressure was considered. It was found that crystal quality changes have caused certain variations of some third order elastic constant values and some temperature coefficients.

Аннотация: Highly efficient cyan‐emitting phosphor materials are indispensable for closing the cyan gap in spectra of the traditional phosphor‐converted white light‐emitting diodes (WLEDs) to achieve high‐quality full‐spectrum white lighting. In this work, bright cyan‐emitting Ca3Ga4O9 (CGO):0.02Bi3+,0.07Zn2+ phosphor is developed to bridge the cyan gap. Such a Bi3+,Zn2+ codoping enhances the cyan emission of CGO:0.02Bi3+ by 4.1 times due to the influence of morphology and size of phosphor particles, charge compensation and lattice distortion. Interestingly, codoping La3+ ions into the current system can achieve a photoluminescence tuning of CGO:0.02Bi3+ from cyan to yellowish‐green by crystallographic site engineering. Besides, Bi3+–Eu3+ energy transfer is successfully realized in CGO:0.02Bi3+,0.07Zn2+,nEu3+ phosphors and the emission color tuning from cyan to orange is observed. The investigation of thermal quenching behaviors reveals that the incorporation of Zn2+ and La3+ improves the thermal stability of CGO:0.02Bi3+. Finally, CGO:0.02Bi3+,0.07Zn2+,0.10Eu3+ phosphor is employed to obtain a single‐phased warm WLED device. A full‐spectrum WLED device with remarkable color rendering index (Ra) of 97.4 and high luminous efficiency of 69.72 lm W−1 is generated by utilizing CGO:0.02Bi3+,0.07Zn2+ phosphor. This result suggests the important effect of CGO:0.02Bi3+,0.07Zn2+ phosphor on closing the cyan gap, providing new insights of cyan‐emitting phosphors applied in full‐spectrum white lighting.

Аннотация: A compact microstrip resonator based on the interdigital structure is proposed. The resonator has several times higher unloaded quality factor compared to similar resonators presented previously and can even reach the Q-factor of a regular λ/4 resonator. The size of the resonator can be significantly reduced with a substantial increase in quality factor by incrementing the number of fingers in the interdigital structure. In addition, for each gap between the fingers, there exist an optimal number of fingers that correspond to the maximum Q-factor. An extension of the upper stopband for a bandpass filter designed using the resonator can be achieved by the interconnection of the fingers in each of the comb structures. The simulation results are proven by fabricated resonators and a fourpole bandpass filter. For the central frequency of 2000 MHz and 16.2% fractional bandwidth, the lateral size of the filter is only 11.5mm × 3.8 mm for alumina substrate (eps = 9.8). The filter has an upper stopband up to 5.8f0 at the level −40 dB.
