Аннотация: We present a simple and affordable technology for producing a thin-film transparent radio-shielding material. The material is a silver micromesh coating produced using a self-organized template. The results of a study of the radio-shielding properties of these coatings in the X and K bands are presented. The micromesh coating with a sheet resistance of 6.8 Ω/sq and integrated optical transmission of 83.6% is characterized by a shielding efficiency of 28.4 dB at a frequency of 8 GHz, which corresponds to a shielding of 99.85% of radiation. Reflection is the main mechanism for shielding radio waves by micromesh coatings.

Аннотация: The solution of the problem of all-optical (nonmagnetic) confinement of ultracold electron-ion neutral plasma based on selective action on plasma ions with quantum transition J = 1 - J = 0 of so-called rectified radiation forces in a strong nonmonochromatic light field is suggested. The presented scheme of the three-dimensional dissipative optical trap for plasma allows one to obtain long-lived ultracold plasma with controlled characteristics. The lifetime of the ultracold plasma in such a trap may exceed considerably (by orders of magnitude) the time of free plasma expansion and the lifetime in the (earlier proposed) optical molasses for the ultracold plasma. Аннотация: Molecular dynamics method using the tight-binding potential to carry out simulation of ultrafast heating of the synthesized particles from the gas phase to a temperature T= 600K and T= 900K, at which the particles were kept about 10 ns. As a result of the simulation revealed that the method of ultrafast heating the particles to high temperatures virtually eliminates the possibility of a clusters of defective education, but as a result of the heat treatment, the some of investigated particles can disconnect (burst) into smaller clusters.

Аннотация: A one-dimensional ZrO2/SiO2 photonic crystal with a 4-n -pentyl-4'-cyanobiphenyl (5CB) nematic defect layer was used to investigate the transmission spectra of light polarized parallel and perpendicular to the liquid-crystal director at different angles of incidence. The spectra of the photonic crystal were shown to split into four polarized components T-ij at oblique incidence. When the incident angle increased, the bandgap edges and the defect modes shifted towards short wavelengths, while the amplitudes of the defect modes increased for the transverse magnetic polarization and decreased for the transverse electric polarization. The observed discrepancy between the defect mode amplitudes in the center and near the edges of the photonic bandgap was found to be related to the radiation losses inside the defect layer of a non-ideal photonic crystal. The simulated transmission spectra obtained using recurrence relations and taking into account the decay of defect modes are in good agreement with the experimental data.

Аннотация: The effect of Kerr nonlinearity on the transmission of laser radiation in a one-dimensional photonic crystal has been investigated by the transfer-matrix method, modified to describe nonlinear effects. The crystal under study is a thin-film multilayer structure with a spatial distribution of the refractive index, which makes it possible to eliminate side bands in the transmission spectrum at each side of the photonic band gap and significantly increase the slope of the transmission curve. The transmission spectrum of such a photonic crystal structure has been studied for two opposite directions of laser radiation propagation. The anisotropy of nonlinear transmission is most pronounced near the edge of the photonic crystal band gap, which lies in the near-IR region. The proposed structure, having strong transmission anisotropy and sufficiently low reflection in the forward direction, can operate as an optical diode (analog of an electron diode).
