Аннотация: An effective method based on linearization of the Landau-Lifshitz equation has been developed to determine normal magnetization oscillation modes in a discrete model of a condensed medium. The possibility to calculate microwave absorption spectra for ferromagnetic specimens of any shape is shown.

Аннотация: Chemical unit cosubstitution is an effective strategy to regulate the luminescence properties of phosphors, and it has attracted huge attention in the last few years. Following the design principles of the match of effective ion radius, atomic valence equilibrium and stoichiometric substitution, the local structure of crystal can be well customized, which is beneficial to develop high-performance luminescent materials. In this work, Mg2+-Sn4+ sites were cosubstituted by Zn2+-Ti4+ ion pairs in Mg2SnO4: Cr3+, respectively, and the emission spectra was successfully serially tuned from broad-band to narrow-band along with a unique variation trend of blue shift first and then slightly red shift. The photoluminescence excitation (PLE), photoluminescence (PL) spectra, lifetime decay, Raman spectra and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) were used to analyze the mechanism of luminescence tuning. Based on the manipulation of local structure, the as-observed distinct luminescence tuning can be well understood by the crystal field theory, nephelauxetic effect and changed Cr3+ capacity in this phosphor. Moreover, the adjusted narrow-band far-red emission spectra peak at 732 nm, matching the characteristic absorption of plant phytochrome PFR, has broad application prospects in the field of plant growth lighting. In addition, light-regulated dwarf potted tomato experiments were carried out to verify the application of far-red light in plant growth.

Аннотация: In this study, the problem of strong Coulomb interactions in topological superconducting wire is analyzed by means of the density-matrix-renormalization-group (DMRG) approach. To analyze properties of edge states in the BDI-class structure, a quantity called Majorana polarization is used. From its dependence on wire length and an entanglement-spectrum degeneracy, topological phase diagrams are obtained. The DMRG calculations for the Shubin-Vonsovsky-type model of the wire show the transformation of phases with Majorana single and double modes (MSMs and MDMs, respectively) under the increase of onsite and intersite correlations. In particular, we demonstrate different scenarios including the possibilities of both induction and suppression of the MSMs and MDMs. It is shown that in the strongly correlated regime, the contributions of single-particle excitations to the Majorana-type states significantly decrease at low magnetic fxields. Moreover, the t-J*-V model is derived allowing to study the effective interactions and improve the DMRG numerics. It is found out that in the limiting case of the effective Hamiltonian with infinitely strong onsite repulsion, t model, the topological phases are destroyed. Finally, the ways to probe the MSMs and MDMs via the features of caloric functions are discussed.

Аннотация: A one-dimensional ZrO2/SiO2 photonic crystal with a 4-n -pentyl-4'-cyanobiphenyl (5CB) nematic defect layer was used to investigate the transmission spectra of light polarized parallel and perpendicular to the liquid-crystal director at different angles of incidence. The spectra of the photonic crystal were shown to split into four polarized components T-ij at oblique incidence. When the incident angle increased, the bandgap edges and the defect modes shifted towards short wavelengths, while the amplitudes of the defect modes increased for the transverse magnetic polarization and decreased for the transverse electric polarization. The observed discrepancy between the defect mode amplitudes in the center and near the edges of the photonic bandgap was found to be related to the radiation losses inside the defect layer of a non-ideal photonic crystal. The simulated transmission spectra obtained using recurrence relations and taking into account the decay of defect modes are in good agreement with the experimental data.

Аннотация: The spectrum of the two-particle spin-singlet (DeltaS(z) = 0, +/-1) excitations of a weakly coupled antiferromagnetic spin-1/2 alternating (J(1) +/- delta) chain is calculated using a mean-field approximation for the interchain exchange (J(2)) by the quantum Monte Carlo method. The bandwidth change of these excitations, the mass gaps in the singlet-singlet excitation spectrum, the top boundaries of the bands and the velocities of these excitations are estimated as functions of the alternating bond delta. The temperatures at which the singlet gaps close are determined.

Аннотация: We studied the transmission spectrum of a one-dimensional photonic crystal containing a defect layer in which electromagnetically induced transparency is possible. The analysis is performed taking into account the spatial inhomogeneity of interacting fields in the photonic crystal. It is found that the transmission spectrum of such a photonic crystal depends on the spatial overlap of defect modes excited by probe and control radiations. Аннотация: This paper considers hardware and software for automated analysis of thin magnetic film ferroresonance spectrum to determine the rate of growth and decrease in ferroresonance spectrum (conversion factor parameter). The measuring element of automated system is the strip line which is short-circuited. The measuring unit is used to study Ni 80 Fe 20 permalloy films, with thickness of more than 300 Å. Conversion factor, magnetic permeability μ, uniaxial magnetic anisotropy, ferromagnetic spectrum resonance line width, saturation magnetization are analyzed from 50 MHz to 2 GHz frequency range. The magnetic films are used to design frequency selective filters, phase shifters and weak-field magnetic sensors. The thin magnetic film sensors are high sensitive magnetometers, with wide frequency range, low dimensions and weight [1]. © 2019 IEEE.

Аннотация: Splitting of a Tamm plasmon polariton at the interface between a metal and a nanocomposite layer conjugated with a photonic crystal (Bragg mirror) has been theoretically investigated. The splitting can be implemented when the Tamm plasmon polariton frequency approaches the resonance frequency of the nanocomposite, which consists of metallic nanoballs dispersed in a transparent matrix. The reflectance spectrum of the p-polarized waves at the normal incidence of light has been calculated. It has been established that the Tamm plasmon polariton splitting significantly depends on the concentration of nanoballs in the nanocomposite layer and its thickness. The solution of the dispersion equation derived for a sample with semi-infinite mirrors has been compared with the spectra obtained for a finite structure by the transfer matrix method.
