Аннотация: A theory of the superconducting state with s-type symmetry of the order parameter ( the transition to this state was observed in recently discovered heavy-fermion skutterudite LaFe(4)P(12)) is developed using the periodic Anderson model in the limit of strong electron correlations. Exact representations of Green's functions of the superconducting phase via the normal and anomalous components of the mass and strength operators are obtained. It is shown that an important role in the description of this superconducting phase is played by the anomalous components of the strength operator, which reflect spin-fluctuation processes in the localized subsystem. These components are calculated in the one-loop approximation using the solution of an infinite system of integral equations of self-consistency for the superconducting phase. Numerical calculations show that allowance for the process of scattering on spin fluctuations leads to renormalization of the critical temperature and provides agreement with the experimental data.

Аннотация: The broadening of the resistive transition in magnetic field and isotherms of magnetoresistance of bulk composites Y-Ba-Cu-O + CuO have been studied. These composites exhibit large magneto-resistive effect in a wide temperature range below T (C) due to weakening of Josephson coupling in this system. The broadening of the resistive transition and magnetoresistance are explained well by the Ambegaokar-Halperin (AH) model for phase slip in Josephson junctions. The magnetic field dependence of pinning potential in the intergrain boundaries deduced from AH model found out to be similar to that of critical current of an array of Josephson junctions. The values of pinning energy point out that the large magneto-resistive effect observed in the composites results from flux flow-like processes at the intergrain boundaries.

Аннотация: The thermal expansion along the principal crystallographic axes of the (NH4)(2)WO2F4 and (NH4)(2)MoO2F4 oxyfluorides has been studied. The anomalous behavior of alpha (i) (T) due to the phase transitions has been revealed at T (1) = 271.4 K and T (2) a parts per thousand 180 K for the molybdate and at T (1) = 201.5 K and T (2) a parts per thousand 161 K for the tungstate. The quantities dT/dp and dT/d sigma (i) , which characterize the dependence of the phase transition temperatures on the hydrostatic and uniaxial pressures, have been determined from analyzing the results of studies of the thermal expansion and heat capacity with the use of the Pippard relations. The p-T and alpha (i) -T phase diagrams reflect different characters of the influence of the pressure on the stability of the initial and distorted phases of the oxyfluorides. The magnitudes of the extensive and intensive barocaloric effects determined in the vicinity of the structural phase transitions are as follows: Delta S (BCE) varies from approximately -10 to -17 J/mol K and Delta T (AD) a parts per thousand 8-17 K for the molybdate and Delta S (BCE) varies from approximately -10 to -17 J/mol K and Delta T (AD) a parts per thousand 8-13 K for the tungstate.

   DISORDER

Аннотация: The thermal and dielectric properties of the (NH4)(2)NbOF5 oxyfluoride have been investigated. It has been established that the structural phase transitions Cmc2(1) - C2 - Ia observed at the temperatures T (1) = 258.0 K and T (2) = 218.9 K exhibit a nonferroelectric nature. The hydrostatic pressure, which stabilizes the initial phase and destabilizes the low-temperature phase, hardly affects the temperature range of stability of the intermediate phase. The model of sequential ordering of the structural elements due to phase transitions has been analyzed using experimental data on the entropies of the phase transitions.

Аннотация: The temperature dependences of the heat capacity, dielectric properties, and response to an external pressure and an electric field for the (NH4)(2)MoO2F4 oxyfluoride (space group Cmcm, Z = 4) have been studied. A comparative analysis of the data on the entropy of phase transitions, p-T phase diagrams, permittivity, and anomalous heat capacity in combination with the results of previous studies of the related compounds (NH4)(2)WO2F4 and (ND4)(2)WO2F4 has made it possible to establish that both [MO2F4](2-) anions and ammonium groups play a substantial role in the mechanism and nature of the structural transformations.

Аннотация: Oxyfluoride (NH4)(2)WO2F4 has been studied by the inelastic neutron scattering method over a wide temperature range 10-300 K at two initial neutron energies of 15 and 60 meV. The role of tetrahedral ammonium groups in the mechanism of sequential phase transitions at T (1) = 201 K and T (2) = 160 K has been discussed.

Аннотация: The correlation between the dc and ac electrical resistance and the structural, magnetic, and thermoelectric properties of polycrystalline MnSe1−X Te Х (0.3 ≤ X ≤ 0.4) manganese chalcogenide films in the temperature range of 80–400 K has been investigated. Inhomogeneous electronic states and transitions between them accompanied by structural lattice deformations have been found at temperatures including the Neel temperature region. The magnetic susceptibility maximum above the Neel temperature in a magnetic field of 8.6 kOe has been observed. Temperature ranges of the coexistence of two types of electrically inhomogeneous states have been established by impedance spectroscopy in the frequency range of 0.1–1000 kHz and the change of the hopping conductivity for diffusion one accompanied by the magnetic susceptibility minimum has been found. The magnetoresistance in magnetic fields of up to 12 kОе has been established. It has been revealed that the thermopower and magnetoresistance change its sign upon heating. The experimental data are explained using a spin polaron model with the localization of polarons and formation of the electron phase-separation. The alternation of magnetoresistance in sign is attributed to the ferromagnetic orbital ordering of electrons and the negative magnetoresistance is explained by suppression of spin fluctuations in a magnetic field.

Аннотация: A structure formed in nanocrystalline iron-carbon films exposed to an electron beam was studied. Explosive crystallization (EC) with the formation of dendrite and cellular-dendritic instabilities at a rate of up to 1 cm/s was observed. It was shown that the dependence between the growth rate of dendrite branches (or cells) during EC and the rounding radius of dendrite branch tips can be approximately described by equations used to calculate the crystal growth in supercooled melts. To explain the EC mechanism, a model of a liquid zone formed at the crystallization front was used. It was shown that the liquid zone arises due to energy accumulated in the film in the nanocrystalline state. It was assumed that this energy was accumulated due to the energy of elastic stresses.
