Аннотация: Магнитные спин-вентильные структуры представляют большой практический интерес в каче- стве датчиков слабых магнитных полей, а также в качестве переключаемых элементов магнит- ной логики. Несмотря на большое количество проведенных экспериментальных и теоретических работ по спин-вентильным структурам эффекты межслойного взаимодействия, происходящие в данных структурах, в настоящее время остаются полностью не выясненными.Magnetic spin-valve structures are of great practical interest as sensors of weak magnetic fields, as well as switching elements of the magnetic logic. Despite the large number of experimental and theoretical work on spin-valve structures, the effects of interlayer interactions occurring in these structures at present time is not fully clarified.

Аннотация: Разработан метод, позволяющий формировать на поверхности дисперсных частиц порошка ВТСП-керамики несверхпроводящего покрытия, состоящего из самоорганизующихся кристаллов CuO, размеры которых менее длины когерентности, т.е. в пределах нескольких десятков нанометров. Показано, что сочетание самоорганизующихся структур в виде «усов» и наночастиц, появляющихся в результате совместного спекания порошков YBa2Cu3O7-x и электродуговых нанопорошков CuO, приводит к существенному увеличению плотности тока и появлению пик-эффекта в области сильных магнитных полей. Очень высокая плотность тока возникает из сложного пиннинга вихрей, где дефекты в виде «усов» обеспечивают большую энергию пиннинга, а наночастицы подавляют крип потока. Регулирование морфологии подобных структур возможно простым изменением концентрации нанодисперсных добавок. Показано, что наиболее оптимальной является добавка CuO в количестве 20% (мас.).A method has been developed, that allows one to form a non-superconducting coating on the surface of dispersed particles of an HTSC ceramic powder consisting of self-organizing CuO crystals whose sizes are less than the coherence length, i.e. within a few tens of nanometers. It was found out that the combination of self-organizing structures in the form of «whiskers» and nanoparticles resulting from the joint sintering of YBa2Cu3O7-x powders and CuO nanocrystals led to a significant increase in current density and the appearance of a peak effect in the region of strong magnetic fields. A very high current density arises from complex pinning of vortices, where defects in the form of «whiskers» provide a large pinning energy, and nanoparticles suppress creep flux. Morphology of such structures can be regulated by a simple change in the concentration of nanodispersed additives. It was determined that the addition of CuO in an amount of 20 wt.% was the most optimal.

Аннотация: Eu–Ba–Cu–O composition was synthesized by solid state reaction technique. To determine optimum growth temperature, heat treatment was examined on the material at 880–1,100 °C. Microstructural evolution, phase formation and elemental distribution depending on heat treatments were examined by using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscope analysis. Optimum fabrication conditions were determined as 1,020 °C for 24 h under oxygen atmosphere and detailed characterization of corresponding compound was performed. The magnetization hysteresis loops are expounded to be the product of superconducting Eu-123 grains and magnetic Eu2+ ions. The peak effect on the magnetization curves was described by the extended critical state model. Scaling of the pinning force was found such that the peak position is proportional to the irreversibility field H irr and the maximum pinning force is proportional to H irr 2 .

Аннотация: Polycrystalline Y1−xNdxBa2Cu3O7−δ (x=0.02, 0.11, and 0.25) superconductors are synthesized. Nd atoms are uniformly distributed over grains. The magnetization loops of the samples have a pronounced second peak in a wide temperature range. The magnetization data are analyzed using the extended critical state model. It is found that the order-disorder transition of the vortex lattice is affected by doping with neodymium and temperature; the second-peak field and width decrease monotonically with increasing x value. The undoped polycrystalline YBa2Cu3O7−δ compound is assumed to exhibit the peak effect in higher magnetic fields.

Аннотация: The Monte Carlo method has been used to calculate the trapped magnetic field in superconducting plates with holes. The mechanism of flux pinning on the holes is implemented with special subprocesses added to the algorithm: vortex capture and emission, both occurring on the hole boundaries. Secondary peaks related to the holes emerge on the calculated profiles of the trapped magnetic field. It has been found that these peaks disappear in plates with sufficiently strong pinning or when the computational mesh is coarse (the case corresponding to a low resolution of probes in experiments). The dependence of the trapped field on the hole radius has been analyzed.

Аннотация: This article theoretically solves the problem of the thermally activated motion of gas of non-interacting magnetic vortices/skyrmions in the field of defects located randomly, i.e., anchoring centers. The properties of the anchoring centers can also fluctuate. The factor that drives the gas of quasiparticles can be of any physical nature (fields, currents, gradients of the magnetic characteristics of the magnet, and so on). The process of vortices motion is described as a sequence of thermally activated separation of vortices from the attracting centers. The cases of some model distribution functions of the energy barriers are considered: 1) the barriers are of the same height; 2) the heights of the barriers are distributed evenly; and 3) the heights are distributed according to the normal law. Within these models, analytical expressions for the drift velocity and the diffusion gas coefficient of quasiparticles are obtained.

Аннотация: IIn this work, the effect of ZrO2 nanoparticles prepared in a low-pressure arc discharge plasma on magnetic flux pinning of granular YBa2Cu3O7-y /nanoZrO2 composites has been studied. It has been shown that the ZrO2 nanoparticles do not change the superconducting transition and the microstructure of superconductors. At a temperature of 5 K, the addition of 0.5 and 1 wt % of ZrO2 nanoparticles may lead to the additional effect of magnetic flux pinning and the increase in the critical current density J c. The J c value for composites with 1 wt % is two times larger than that for the reference sample. The fishtail effect is observed for YBa2Cu3O7-y /nanoZrO2 composites at the temperatures of 20 and 50 K. The problems associated with the additional effect of magnetic flux pinning of granular YBa2Cu3O7-y /nanoZrO2 composites and the appearance of the fishtail effect have been discussed.

Аннотация: We study the effect of the structure on critical currents and current-voltage characteristics (CVC's) of foamed bismuth-based polycrystalline high-temperature superconductors (HTSC). The fractal cluster structure of superconducting foams has been observed and the fractal dimension of boundaries between superconducting and normal clusters has been determined. Based on the magnetic and transport properties of the foamed polycrystalline superconductors, we have shown that the initial parts of CVC's of the superconducting foams are described well by the model that accounts the magnetic flux trapping in fractal clusters of a normal phase. Аннотация: Vortex relaxation has been studied in a microsized HTS with various distributions of artificial pinning in the form of submicro-holes. It has been shown that, in some cases, for a superconductor with dimensions up to several micrometers, the time dependences of the trapped magnetic field do not correspond with the collective creep model. The dependences of the trapped-field relaxation rate and vortex activation energy on the magnetizing field (up to 0.5 T) and temperature (up to 50 K) have been obtained. It has been shown that the presence of submicro-holes slightly increases the relaxation rate, mainly due to the decrease in the number of random nanosized pinning centers.

Аннотация: The current-voltage characteristics of a porous superconductor Bi(2)Sr(2)Ca(2)Cu(3)O (x) (Bi2223) have been measured at temperatures in the range from 10 to 90 K in magnetic fields of 0-80 kOe. The experimental dependences have been analyzed within the model allowing for pinning by clusters of a normal phase with fractal boundaries, as well as the model taking into account phase transformations of vortex matter. It has been found that the electrical resistance of the superconductor material significantly increases at temperatures of 60-70 K over the entire range of magnetic fields under consideration without changing in the sign of the curvature of the dependence R(I). It has been assumed that this behavior is associated with the specific feature of the pinning in a highly porous high-temperature superconductor, which lies in the fractality of the distribution of pinning centers in a wide range of self-similarity scales. The studied material at the aforementioned temperatures is characterized by the melting of the vortex structure.

Аннотация: Flux pinning forces were determined on different network samples of superconducting Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 (Bi-2212) nanowires prepared by the electrospinning technique. We employed magnetization data determined by SQUID magnetometry in a wide temperature range 10 K T 35 K, where a strong superconducting signal prevails. The scaling analysis of the pinning forces was applied to interprete the data obtained. Both pure and Li-doped Bi2212 nanowire networks exhibit a peak position of h0∼ 0.11, which is smaller than the expected value of h0

Аннотация: The time evolution of the magnetoresistance of bulk YBCO + CuO composites at T = 4.2 K in constant applied magnetic fields was studied to clarify the mechanism of hysteretic behavior of magnetoresistance R(H) of granular HTSC. The composites represent "model" granular HTSC with weakened Josephson coupling between superconducting (YBCO) crystallites. It was found for the first time that on the ascending branch of R(H) dependence, the resistance at H = const decreased with time while on the descending branch, the resistance increased with time in ail applied constant magnetic field. In the range of low magnetic fields (below the minimum point of the descending branch of the R(H) dependence), the resistance at H const decreased again. Similar measurements performed oil pure polycrystalline YBCO at T = 77.4 K have shown that the behavior of evolution of resistance with time is similar to that observed for the composite. This proves the peculiarity of time evolution of maignetoresistance to be a common feature of granular HTSCs. The behavior revealed is well described by the model Of granular HTSC, where the intergrain media is in an effective magnetic field which is the superposition of the external field and the field induced by superconducting grains. The time evolution of resistance reflects the time relaxation of magnetization of HTSC grains due to the intragrain flux Creep Processes. (C) 2008 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Аннотация: The use of artificial holes can improve the performance of high-temperature bulk superconductors. We report the results of Monte Carlo simulations of the trapped magnetic flux in superconducting samples with different configurations of perforated holes. Vortex trapping and emission at the hole boundary were modeled to account for flux pinning on the holes. It was found that the trapped flux can reach its maximum value, which does not depend on the number of holes. The dependence of the trapped flux on the diameter and number of holes is explored and described by the suggested relations that account for pinning on the holes and the effective hole area. Recommendations are provided to attain the maximum trapped flux for a fixed number or diameter of holes.

The electronic contribution is due to the rearrangement of the discrete spectrum of charge carriers trapped by the nonuniform magnetic induction of such a ferromagnet, and it is a kind of diamagnetic effect that appreciably decreases the volume-averaged magnetization of the ferromagnet. A power-law dependence H-3/4 on the external magnetic field H is obtained according to the law of magnetization approach to saturation. Аннотация: Inhomogeneous distribution of the pinning force in superconductor results in a magnetization asymmetry. A model considering the field distribution in superconductor was developed and symmetric and asymmetric magnetization loops of porous and textured Bi1.8Pb0.3Sr1.9Ca2Cu3Ox were fitted. It is found that the thermal equilibrium magnetization realizes in crystals smaller than some size depending on temperature and magnetic field. (C) 2011 American Institute of Physics. Аннотация: We present the results of a study of the superconducting and paramagnetic properties of polycrystalline Y1–xGdxBa2Cu3O7–δ samples. The critical current density and critical temperature of YBCO were weakly decreased by the Gd doping. A peak effect, which is a nonmonotonic dependence of the critical current density on magnetic field, was detected for all samples. The peak position shifted to higher magnetic fields with increasing Gd content. This behavior is opposite to the shift of the peak effect observed for other YBCO compounds doped by magnetic ions. This unusual behavior is apparently related to the realized granular structure instead of the type of doping ion. A correlation between the peak position and the granule size was found in the investigated samples and other polycrystalline YBCO compounds.

Аннотация: The broadening of the resistive transition in magnetic field and isotherms of magnetoresistance of bulk composites Y-Ba-Cu-O + CuO have been studied. These composites exhibit large magneto-resistive effect in a wide temperature range below T (C) due to weakening of Josephson coupling in this system. The broadening of the resistive transition and magnetoresistance are explained well by the Ambegaokar-Halperin (AH) model for phase slip in Josephson junctions. The magnetic field dependence of pinning potential in the intergrain boundaries deduced from AH model found out to be similar to that of critical current of an array of Josephson junctions. The values of pinning energy point out that the large magneto-resistive effect observed in the composites results from flux flow-like processes at the intergrain boundaries.
