Аннотация: A design of microwave power limiter having a structure of three-pole microstrip filter is developed. In the device outer resonators are coupled through an inner resonator containing high-temperature super- conducting film. Prototype of the device with central frequency 7.9 GHz and relative bandwidth 9% has insertion loss 1.5 dB in the open state and suppress a signal not less 30 dB in the limitation state.
Была разработана конструкция ограничителя СВЧ-мощности, имеющая структуру трехзвенного микрополоскового фильтра. В устройстве внешние резонаторы связаны посредством внутреннего, содержащего ВТСП-пленку. Макет устройства с центральной частотой 7.9 ГГц и относительной полосой пропускания 9% имеет потери 1.5 дБ в открытом состоянии и не менее 30 дБ ослабления в режиме ограничения.

Аннотация: The paper describes a non-linear power amplifier developed for mobile wideband transceivers of near-field magnetic communication systems. The power amplifier has following parameters: voltage range - up to 200 V; power consumption - up to 200 W; maximum load current - up to 100 A; maximum frequency - 200 kHz; overall dimensions - 100x100x40 mm and weight - ~200 g (without heat sink). Mobile near-field magnetic communication systems equipped with such amplifier are able to provide a voice communication range up to 150 m. The systems can be employed in constructing of various underwater and underground communication networks, for example, in mines or for divers. Results of near-field communication system field testing with the developed non-linear power amplifier are shown. The authors propose a simple algorithm for the main parameters of the power amplifier and the transmitter antenna selection.

Аннотация: We discuss signatures of quantum chaos in terms of distributions of nodal points, saddle points, and streamlines for coherent electron transport through two-dimensional billiards, which are either nominally integrable or chaotic. As typical examples of the two cases we select rectangular and Sinai billiards. We have numerically evaluted distribution functions for nearest distances between nodal points and found that there is a generic form for open chaotic billiards through which a net current is passed. We have also evaluated the distribution functions for nodal points with specific vorticity (winding number) as well as for saddle points. The distributions may be used as signatures of quantum chaos in open systems. All distributions are well reproduced using random complex linear combinations of nearly monochromatic states in nominally closed billiards. In the case of rectangular billiards with simple sharp-cornered leads the distributions have characteristic features related to order among the nodal points. A flaring or rounding of the contact regions may, however, induce a crossover to nodal point distributions and current flow typical for quantum chaos. For an irregular arrangement of nodal points, as for example in the Sinai billiard, the quantum flow lines become very complex and volatile, recalling chaos among classical trajectories. Similarities with percolation are pointed out.

Аннотация: We fabricated Cu-doped TiNxOy thin film resistors by using atomic layer deposition, optical lithography, dry etching, Ti/Cu/Ti/Au e-beam evaporation and lift-off processes. The results of the measurements of the resistance temperature dependence, non-linearity, S-parameters at 0.01–26 GHz and details of the breakdown mechanism under high-voltage stress are reported. The devices’ sheet resistance is 220 ± 8 Ω/□ (480 ± 20 µΩ*cm); intrinsic resistance temperature coefficient (TCR) is ~400 ppm/°C in the T-range of 10–300 K; and S-parameters versus frequency are flat up to 2 GHz with maximum variation of 10% at 26 GHz. The resistors can sustain power and current densities up to ~5 kW*cm−2 and ~2 MA*cm−2, above which they switch to high-resistance state with the sheet resistance equal to ~200 kΩ/□ (~0.4 Ω*cm) caused by nitrogen and copper desorption from TiNxOy film. The Cu/Ti/TiNxOy contact is prone to ageing due to gradual titanium oxidation while the TiNxOy resistor body is stable. The resistors have strong potential for applications in high-frequency integrated and hybrid circuits that require small-footprint, medium-range resistors of 0.05–10 kΩ, with small TCR and high-power handling capability.

Аннотация: We consider dielectric cavities whose radiation space is restricted by two parallel metallic planes. The TM solutions of the Maxwell equations of the system are equivalent to the solutions of periodical arrays of dielectric cavities. The system readily allows to achieve bound states in the continuum (BICs) of any type including topological BICs as dependent on position and orientation of the cavities relative to the planes and that extremely facilitates experimental studies in comparison to infinite arrays of the cavities. We show the effect of merging of topologically protected BICs that pushes the square asymptotic of the Q factor into the power degree 4 or even 6.

Аннотация: A new construction of dual band HTSC power limiter is proposed. The device consists of two microstrip bandpass filters. Each filter consists of two quarter-wave resonators which couple through a composite half-wave resonator with HTSC-element. The prototype of the device in the open mode has operation passband of about 10% and 11% with central frequency being equal to 1.48 GHz and 2.03 GHz, the minimum loss in the passband is equal 1.9 dB and 1.7 dB for LF-channel and HF-channel correspondingly. The transfer characteristics of the device were investigated in the case of microwave power level up to 3.15 W.
Предложена новая конструкция ВТСП ограничителя мощности с двумя рабочими полосами. Ограничитель содержит два микрополосковых полосно-пропускающих фильтра. Каждый фильтр состоит из двух четвертьволновых резонаторов, которые связаны между собой через составной полуволновый резонатор, содержащий пленку из высокотемпературного сверхпроводника. Макет устройства в открытом режиме имеет ширины рабочих полос пропускания 10% и 11% с центральными частотами 1.48 ГГц и 2.03 ГГц. Минимальные вносимые потери составили 1.9 дБ и 1.7 дБ для НЧ- и ВЧ-каналов соответственно. Передаточные характеристики устройства были исследованы до уровня СВЧ-мощности 3.15 Вт.

Аннотация: In this work the feature of spatio-temporal evolution of two partially overlapped short pulses of counterintuitive sequence in a medium of three-level absorbing atoms in conditions of adiabatic transfer of population are investigated. The analytic solution is constructed. It is shown, that selective excitation of two-photon resonant state with a near-unity probability is conserved on the length of medium, which is considerably greater than the absorbtion length of a weak probe pulse in the absence of a coupling pulse at the adjacent transition.

Аннотация: To obtain white light-emitted diodes (wLEDs) with a low correlated color temperature (CCT) and a high color rendering index (CRI), red-emission is indispensable in their emission spectra. Herein, CaO:Ce3+,Li+,F- yellow phosphors with more red spectral component have been prepared via a high temperature solid-state reaction. As compared to the F- undoped samples, CaO:Ce3+,Li+,F- phosphor have lower critical doping concentration of Ce3+ and show stronger luminescence. At the critical concentration, a quantum efficiency of 66.4% and enhanced thermal and chemical stability were obtained in CaO:Ce3+,Li+,F-. Furthermore, a CaO:Ce3+,Li+,F--based phosphor-in-glass (PiG) using the red-emitting glass system with the composition of SiO2-Na2CO3-Al2O3-CaO:Eu3+ as the host material was constructed and used for high-power white LED applications. Such PiG samples with different phosphor doping concentrations can satisfy various light color demands and display higher reliability than the CaO:Ce3+,Li+,F- phosphor. An optimal PiG-based wLED exhibits color coordinates of (0.3769, 0.3386), a CCT of 3774 K, a CRI of 82.5 and a LE of 73.1 when the mass ratio of phosphor to glass matrix was 7:50 in PiG. Moreover, such PiG-based wLED also showed acceptable color stability under different drive currents. All the above results demonstrate that CaO:Ce3+,Li+,F- can be expected to be a potential alternative yellow phosphor for blue light excited PiG based warm wLEDs, particularly for high-power devices.

Аннотация: Rapid development of solid-state lighting technology requires new materials with highly efficient and stable luminescence, and especially relies on blue light pumped red phosphors for improved light quality. Herein, we discovered an unprecedented red-emitting Mg2Al4Si5O18:Eu2+ composite phosphor (λex = 450 nm, λem = 620 nm) via the crystallization of MgO–Al2O3–SiO2 aluminosilicate glass. Combined experimental measurement and first-principles calculations verify that Eu2+ dopants insert at the vacant channel of Mg2Al4Si5O18 crystal with six-fold coordination responsible for the peculiar red emission. Importantly, the resulting phosphor exhibits high internal/external quantum efficiency of 94.5/70.6%, and stable emission against thermal quenching, which reaches industry production. The maximum luminous flux and luminous efficiency of the constructed laser driven red emitting device reaches as high as 274 lm and 54 lm W−1, respectively. The combinations of extraordinary optical properties coupled with economically favorable and innovative preparation method indicate, that the Mg2Al4Si5O18:Eu2+ composite phosphor will provide a significant step towards the development of high-power solid-state lighting.

Аннотация: As one of the key elements of indoor agriculture, horticultural light sources are developing rapidly towards requiring high energy density, high output power and high stability, which poses a challenge for traditional phosphor conversion devices. To address this, an all-inorganic blue-red dual-emitting light convertor consisting of Ba1.3Sr1.7MgSi2O8:Eu2+,Mn2+ (BSMS) phosphor-in-glass (PiG) plates was prepared to improve the duration lifetime of converted high-power light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and meet the light quality requirements of photosynthesis for indoor agriculture. The obtained samples show an external quantum efficiency of 45.3%, outstanding thermal stability and a specific emission spectrum that highly matches the absorption of chlorophyll and β-carotene. Moreover, a proof-of-concept BSMS-PiG horticultural lamp for application in an indoor plant factory was successfully fabricated based on a ∼370 nm emitting LED chip. The blue-red ratio of its spectrum could be regulated by controlling the thickness of BSMS-PiG and the concentrations of Mn2+ ions within BSMS-PiG. The BSMS-PiG horticultural LEDs were applied to the indoor cultivation of Romaine lettuce. The results indicated that the biomass of Romaine lettuce was 58.21% greater than that of control lettuce samples cultivated under commercial plant lamps. In particular, the content values of total chlorophyll, β-carotene and soluble protein were improved. The BSMS-PiG horticultural LED is a potential candidate to act as a high-power horticultural light source.

Аннотация: Heat capacity and intensive magnetocaloric effect (MCE) in manganites (La1-yEuy)(0.7)Pb0.3MnO3[y=0.2; 0.6] (LEPM) were investigated by means of adiabatic calorimeter. The heat capacity anomaly as well as the values of both the intensive (Delta T-AD) and the extensive (Delta S-MCE) MCE were found to decrease upon increased replacement of La with nonmagnetic Eu. However, because of widening of the MCE peaks, the LEPM compounds show the relative cooling power, RCP/Delta H, comparable to other solid solutions of manganites. Owing to strong effect of Eu -> La substitution on the Curie temperature, LEPM might have potential as the solid state refrigerants in multi-element cooling apparatus operating in a wide temperature range. Аннотация: A microwave power limiter based on three-pole microstrip filter is designed, fabricated and tested. In the device outer resonators are coupled through an inner resonator containing high-temperature superconducting film. Prototype of the device with central frequency 8.3 GHz and relative bandwidth 7% has insertion loss 3 dB in the open state and signal suppression not less 35 dB in the limitation state.

Аннотация: The composite compound Bi2(Sn0.7Fe0.3)2O7/Bi2Fe4O9 in the ratio 91/9% was synthesized by the solid-phase reaction method. The current-voltage characteristics were studied in the temperature range 800–400 K. The hysteresis of the current-voltage characteristics was found. The magnetoelectric interaction and thermoelectric power have been studied. The temperatures of predominance of the even and linear functions of the magnetoelectric effect are established. The sign change of the thermopower has been found.

Аннотация: New law of the approach to magnetic saturation is proposed based on scaling in ferromagnets with random magnetic anisotropy. This law is consistent with the known laws derived within perturbation theory in extreme cases, but it describes the transition mode between the power-low asymptotic regimes better. The improved law is proper for reliable fitting the approach magnetization to saturation in nanocrystalline and amorphous ferromagnets. © 2017 Elsevier B.V.

Аннотация: We consider a microcavity with degenerate dipole or hexapole eigenmodes. If the cavity is positioned between waveguides, degeneracy is lifted. However, we show that in a nonlinear microcavity the degeneracy is recovered at certain injected power. In application we consider a two-dimensional photonic crystal of GaAs rods holding two parallel waveguides and one defect made of Kerr media. We show that 100% efficiency channel dropping can be attained without a necessity to tune the resonant frequencies of the microcavity. В© 2013 Optical Society of America.

Аннотация: Samples of all the tailings from enrichment processes at the Abagur plant operated by OAO Evrazruda are studied. The tailings are subjected to magnetic and chemical analysis, and the magnetic characteristics of the products are measured. The mean magnetite iron content in the tailings was about 0.9% in 2013. Experiments confirm that the main magnetite losses are associated with small classes and their poor magnetic properties. The losses of magnetite are reduced as the separation field is increased. At the plant, 45% of the barium–ferrite magnetic systems in the PBM 90/250 separators have been replaced by a system based on neodymium–iron–boron composites, with increase in the field from 111 to 175 kA/m. Modernization of the magnetic systems in all the separators at the Abagur plant is recommended. In thickening, the installation of separators for regeneration of the suspensions, with a field of 190 kA/m, is recommended. After reconstruction, the losses of magnetite iron at the plant may be reduced to 0.45–0.55%. © 2016, Allerton Press, Inc.

Аннотация: The compound Bi24(CoBi)O40 has been synthesized using the solid-phase reaction method. The temperature and field dependences of the magnetic moment in the temperature range 4 K T 300 K and the temperature dependences of the EPR line width and g-factor at temperatures 80 K T 300 K have been investigated. The electrical resistivity and thermoelectric power have been measured in the temperature range 100 K T 1000 K. The activation energy has been determined and the crossover of the thermoelectric power from the phonon mechanism to the electron mechanism with variations in the temperature has been observed. The thermal expansion coefficient of the samples has been measured in the temperature range 300 K T 1000 K and the qualitative agreement with the temperature behavior of the electrical resistivity has been achieved. The electrical and structural properties of the compound have been explained in the framework of the model of the electronic-structure transition with inclusion of the exchange and Coulomb interactions between electrons and the electron-phonon interaction.

Аннотация: The magnetoresistance of the textured high-temperature superconductor (HTSC) Bi1.8Pb0.3Sr1.9Ca2Cu3Ox + Ag has been studied at different directions of the transport current I and external magnetic field H with respect to crystallographic directions of HTSC crystallites. When I and H are oriented along the ab planes of crystallites and φ is the angle between H and I, the anisotropic part of the magnetoresistance follows the functional dependence sin2φ, which is characteristic of vortex flows under Lorentz forces. The magnetoresistance R at H parallel to the c axis of crystallites (H || c) is higher than R at H || ab for both cases of I || c and I || ab. The anisotropy coefficient γ ≈ 2.3 has been estimated from the scaling of the dependences R(H) measured at H || c and H || ab. The inclusion of the magnetic field induced by the transport current allows scaling of the dependences R(H) at different values of I. A qualitative picture of the current flow along the c axis of crystallites in the textured HTSC has been proposed. © 2015, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
