Аннотация: Propagation of surface acoustic waves (SAW) in piezoelectric media deformed by the homogeneous static electric field E/homogeneous mechanical stress P has been considered. Green-Christoffel equations, boundary conditions and other necessary derivations have been obtained. The computer investigations Of anisotropy Of E(P) influence on the SAW propagation conditions in piezoelectrics Bi12SiO20 and Bi12GeO20 have been carried out.

Аннотация: The properties of localized electromagnetic modes in a one-dimensional photonic crystal with a structural defect layer were studied. The role of the defect was played by an anisotropic nematic liquid crystal layer. The frequency and the damping factor of defect modes were shown to substantially depend on the defect layer thickness and the orientation of the optical axis of the nematic. The transmission spectra of photonic crystals with one and two lattice defects were studied. Taking into account the special feature of nematic liquid crystals distinguishing them from usual crystals, namely, large permittivity anisotropy, it was shown that the transmission spectrum of the photonic crystal could be controlled by varying the orientation of the optical axis of the nematic, for instance, under the action of an external electric field. Аннотация: Explicit expressions are derived for the rectified radiative forces (RRFs) related to the action of a weak interfering optical field of an arbitrary three-dimensional (3D) configuration upon resonance particles featuring the J = 0 -- J = 1 quantum transition. It is shown that, in contrast to the case of a monochromatic field, there are simple 3D biharmonic field configurations for which the ratio of the vortex and potential RRF components can be controlled by adjusting frequencies and polarizations of the interfering light waves. This modification of the RRF structure gives rise to qualitatively different types of both vortex and potential light-induced particle motions that may lead to a 3D spatial localization (confinement) of these particles within the cells of an effective optical lattice with a period significantly greater than the light wavelength. In particular, the particles may perform a stable rotational motion along closed trajectories inside the elementary cells. (C) 2001 MAIK "Nauka/Interperiodica".

Аннотация: We study wave transmission through a Fabry-Perot resonator (FPR) loaded with point-like impurities. We show both analytically in the framework of the coupled mode theory and numerically that there are two different regimes for transmission dependent on the quality of the FPR mirrors. For low quality, we obtain transmittance very similar to the clean FPR with slightly shifted Lorentz peaks. However, for good quality, the transmittance peaks are strongly reduced and substituted with Gaussian peaks because of multiple scattering of waves by each impurity. As a side effect, we observe the angular (channel) conversion in the disordered FPR. We demonstrate that the resonant peaks are dependent on the concentration of impurities to pave a way for resonant measurement of the concentration. (C) 2016 Optical Society of America

Аннотация: We consider E-polarized bound states in the radiation continuum (BICs) in circular periodical arrays of N infinitely long dielectric rods. We find that each true BIC which occurs in an infinite linear array has its counterpart in the circular array as a near-BIC with extremely large quality factor. We argue analytically as well as numerically that the quality factor of the symmetry-protected near-BICs diverges as eλN, where λ is a material parameter dependent on the radius and the refraction index of the rods. By tuning of the radius of rods, we also find numerically non-symmetry-protected near-BICs. These near-BICs are localized with exponential accuracy outside the circular array, but fill the whole inner space of the array carrying orbital angular momentum.

   ATTENUATION

Аннотация: A correlation between the temperatures corresponding to the maxima of the sound attenuation and temperature resistance coefficient in the RexMn1-xS solid solutions related to the condensation of electrons and holes has been established. X-ray diffraction, energy-dispersive X-ray spectrum, and scanning electron microscope techniques have been used to investigate the microstructure of the samples. In the Yb0.2Mn0.8S compound, a decrease in the ultrasound attenuation with increasing temperature has been observed. The functional dependences of the electrosound on the ultrasound intensity and carrier type and the change in the electrosound sign with temperature have been established. The asymmetry of the I-V characteristic depending on the ultrasound intensity and the attenuation coefficient depending on the electric field has been found. The nonlinear attenuation of the ultrasound as a function of the intensity has been observed. Model of elastic and inelastic scattering of current carriers by acoustic phonons, deformation interaction is used to explain the asymmetry.
