Аннотация: Исследован энергетический спектр подвижных носителей заряда в двумерном антиферромагнетике, помещенном во внешнее магнитное поле. Показано, что учет скоса магнитных подрешеток модифицирует эффективную массу подвижных носителей заряда слаболегированного антиферромагнетика. Этот факт существенным образом сказывается на транспортных и термодинамических свойствах системы. Обнаружено явление перехода в полуметаллическую фазу под воздействием внешнего магнитного поля.

Аннотация: Для ромбоэдрического антиферромагнетика симметрии R3m с фрустрированным обменом в базисной плоскости и конкуренцией обменов между ближайшими и вторыми соседними плоскостями рассчитана фазовая диаграмма основного состояния. Диаграмма содержит фазы коллинеарного антиферромагнитного упорядочения разных типов, разделенные пятью несоизмеримыми магнитными состояниями геликоидального типа, различающимися по типу упорядочения и направлению вектора модуляции. Соизмеримые и несоизмеримые фазы сходятся в мультикритических точках, лежащих на линии, соответствующей антиферромагнетику с неискаженной простой кубической решеткой.

Аннотация: The phase diagram of the ground state has been calculated for a rhombohedral antiferromagnet of the R3m symmetry with frustrated exchange in the base plane and competition of exchanges between the nearest and next-nearest planes. The diagram contains phases of collinear antiferromagnetic ordering of various types separated by five incommensurate magnetic states of the helicoidal type, differing in the ordering type and in the direction of the modulation vector. The commensurate and incommensurate phases converge at multi-critical points lying on a line corresponding to an antiferromagnet with an undistorted simple cubic lattice.

Аннотация: The energy spectrum of mobile charge carriers in a two-dimensional Antiferromagnet placed in external magnetic field is analyzed. It is shown that allowing for the magnetic sublattice skew the effective mass of mobile charge carriers in a lightly doped Antiferromagnet. This affects substantially the transport and thermodynamic properties of the system. A insulator-semimetal transition is induced with external magnetic field. В© 2013 Allerton Press, Inc.

Аннотация: A new incommensurate magnetic structure with a locally triangular orientation of spins has been proposed for a two-subsystem magnet with frustrated intersystem exchange and competition between exchanges in one of the subsystems. When the temperature is lowered, this structure appears from the antiferromagnetic state after a first-order phase transition. It transfers to the Yafet-Kittel triangular structure when the threshold conditions for the exchange interactions are fulfilled. An increase in the length of the frustrated exchange bonds leads to the appearance of an incommensurate phase with the local antiferromagnetic orientation of the sublattices in each subsystem between the commensurate antiferromagnetic and Yafet-Kittel phases.

Аннотация: An orthonormalized basis describing the single-hole states of the CuO2 plane has been constructed exactly taking into account the p-d exchange coupling between the spins of a hole and the two nearest copper ions. The introduced basis makes it possible to include the effects caused by the dependence of the Heisenberg interaction between the nearest copper ions on the occupation of the intermediate oxygen ion by the hole in the calculation of the spectrum of the collective excitations of nonlocal three-spin polarons. The inclusion of this correlation, as well as the nonlocality of the p-d exchange coupling, is the main difference of the developed approach to the description of the energy structure from the calculations with the use of the Zhang-Rice singlet.

It is established that the main contribution to the Faraday rotation in the TbFe3(BO3)(4) is associated with the Tb3+ subsystem at low temperatures. Аннотация: Within a new norm-conserving approach to the cluster perturbation theory (CPT) for the 2d Hubbard model we study the effect of the cluster size and shape on the electronic structure. We have compared two type of clusters, 4-cluster (2x2) and 5-cluster (cruciform of 5 atoms). With 4-cluster we can treat exactly the first and second neighbours correlations, C (1) and C (2). With 5-cluster the third neighbour correlations C (3) are also treated exactly. The band structure in the CPT with 4- and 5-clusters differs remarkably. The quasiparticle spectral weight map for 5-clusters is very similar to the Quantum Monte Carlo (QMC) and the variational CPT data. With increasing doping, small hole Fermi surface transforms into conventional Fermi-liquid type large Fermi surface through Lifshitz quantum phase transitions.

Аннотация: Low-temperature studies of elastic and magnetic characteristics of the single crystal Nd0.6Dy0.4Fe3(BO3)4 have been performed. A transition to the antiferromagnetically ordered state of the magnetic subsystem has been manifested in the temperature behavior of the velocity and attenuation of acoustic modes and magnetization. Spin-reorientation phase transitions, which reveal themselves as anomalies in the behavior of elastic and magnetic characteristics of the crystal in the external magnetic field applied along the axis of the trigonal symmetry of the crystal have been discovered. The phase H–T diagram for H || C 3 has been constructed.

Переход к антиферромагнитно упорядоченному состоянию магнитной подсистемы был проявлен в температурном поведении скорости и ослаблении акустических мод и намагничивании. Были обнаружены фазовые спин-переориентационные переходы, которые показывают себя как аномалии в поведении упругих и магнитных особенностей кристалла во внешнем магнитном поле, приложенном вдоль оси треугольной симметрии кристалла. Фаза диаграмма H–T для H || С3 была построена.

Аннотация: The normal and superconducting phases of the ensemble of spin polarons in a two-dimensional Kondo lattice have been considered under the conditions when the hopping integral is comparable to the s-d exchange interaction energy. The polaron excitation spectrum and the superconducting transition temperature have been found taking into account upper triplet states. The change in the concentration dependence of the critical temperature of the transition to the superconducting phase with the relation between the hopping integral and the integral of the s-d exchange coupling has been analyzed.

Аннотация: The excitation spectrum of a non-Heisenberg 2D antiferromagnet with the four-spin interaction of cubic symmetry has been calculated in the first order of 1/2S. It has been shown that, for weak anisotropy, the N,el state is destroyed by quantum fluctuations. The phase diagrams showing the stability regions of the N,el phase in the space of spin-anisotropy parameters have been plotted.

Аннотация: The parameters of the transition layer in exchange-biased film structures are necessary agents to understand the mechanism of formation of unidirectional anisotropy. The layer thickness in NiFe/DyCo films has been determined by comparison of signals of the polar magneto-optical Kerr effect from a reference DyCo film and a hard magnetic layer of the exchange-biased structure. The layer thickness obtained is one order of magnitude larger than that characteristic of ferromagnet-antiferromagnet bilayer films. The mechanism of magnetization reversal of the structure under study has been explained within the model suggesting the formation of 180A degrees boundaries in the interface.

Аннотация: Several experimental and theoretical studies indicate the existence of a critical point separating the underdoped and overdoped regions of the high-T-c cuprates' phase diagram. There are at least two distinct proposals on the critical concentration and its physical origin. The first one is associated with the pseudogap formation for p p*, with p* approximate to 0.2. The other relies on the Hall effect measurements and suggests that the critical point and the quantum phase transition (QPT) take place at optimal doping, p(opt) approximate to 0.16. Here we have performed a precise density of states calculation and found that there are two QPTs and the corresponding critical concentrations associated with the change of the Fermi surface topology upon doping.

Аннотация: A system of two nonlinear differential equations for sublattice angles is proposed to describe the spin orientation distribution in a planar antiferromagnet with uniform antisymmetric exchange in a magnetic field. This system involves the initial symmetry of the problem and is reduced to a single delay differential equation. The solutions of this system are parameterized by the initial condition imposed on the angle of one sublattice at the hyperbolic singular point of the phase space. The numerical analysis of the stability boundary of soliton solutions demonstrates that the transition to the commensurate phase takes place outside the region where the stochastic solutions appear and is accompanied by the magnetization jump Delta m similar to 10(-1) m.

Аннотация: It has been shown that two- and three-center interactions arise in the strong-coupling regime for the 2D Kondo lattice; these interactions both induce and suppress the Cooper instability. It is important that, in contrast to the t-J* model, the three- center interactions promote the Cooper pairing and ensure the appearance of the superconducting phase with a high critical temperature T(c). The calculated concentration dependences of T(c) agree well with the experimental data for the cuprate superconductors.

Аннотация: The exchange mechanism effect on the ordering of electrons on e(g) orbitals in a two-dimensional Heisenberg model with exchange anisotropy for a S = 1/2 spin is determined. The regions of existence of long-range quasi-one- and two-dimensional antiferromagnetic order with the special exchange topology are calculated by a quantum Monte Carlo method. Аннотация: A new mechanism is proposed for forming an incommensurate magnetic structure of the transverse helix type owing to the removal of frustration through intersubsystem exchange in a two-subsystem antiferromagnet. The symmetry analysis of the distribution of the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction and comparison with the experimental data on the field dependence of magnetization indicate that antisymmetric exchange and competition between symmetric exchanges cannot be responsible for forming a helical magnetic structure in CuB2O4.

Аннотация: This paper reports on the results of measurements of the magnetic susceptibility, heat capacity, neutron scattering, muon spin relaxation, and electron paramagnetic resonance in Cu3B2O6 for the study of the ground state of the spin system of this compound. The results obtained suggest that, at a temperature of 10 K, the spin subsystem of the crystal, which consists of single spins and clusters of pairs and fours of spins interacting with one another, undergoes a transition to a state representing a superposition of the singlet (for clusters) and magnetically ordered (for single spins) states.

Аннотация: The possibility of implementing a quantum-spin-liquid-type state in a two-layer triangular spin-1/2 antiferromagnet at T = 0 is investigated. The ratio of intra- to interlayer exchange constants (j) is found under which a transition from the classical state with 120 degrees triangular order to a quantum state with zero magnetization per site occurs; in this case, the spins of adjacent layers form singlets that are separated from triplet excitations by an energy gap. Compared with an analogous system with the square lattice, the range of j in which the classical ordered state is realized turns out to be an order of magnitude smaller due to the effects of frustration; in this case, the behavior of thermodynamic quantities is analogous, on the whole, to that in two-layer square lattices; a difference manifests itself in the behavior of the gap in the spectrum of quasiparticles in an external magnetic field h. For small fields h, a j-h phase diagram is constructed that determines the domains in which the 120 degrees and the singlet phases exist. It is established that, in the neighborhood of the second-order phase transition, the contribution, to the thermodynamic quantities, of longitudinal spin fluctuations, which are disregarded in the spin-wave description, is comparable to the contribution of transverse fluctuations.
