Аннотация: Рассмотрено влияние фаз колебаний наведенных внешним лазерным полем дипольных моментов наночастиц металла и квантовых точек на энергию их взаимодействия. Показано, что различие в резонансных частотах приводит к возникновению дополнительных минимумов и максимумов, отсутствующих в спектральной зависимости энергии взаимодействия идентичных частиц при аналогичных ориентациях пары частиц относительно плоскости поляризации излучения. Последнее связано с достижением разностью фаз колебаний наведенных дипольных моментов частиц величин, близких к π.

Аннотация: Произведен расчет энергетических спектров взаимодействия пары наночастиц CdSe в квазирезонансном электромагнитном поле, для случаев одинаковых частиц и частиц с отличающимися длинами волн переходов, использовано диполь-дипольное приближение. Показано, что учет дополнительных переходов значительно увеличивает величину энергии взаимодействия для потенциальной ямы, лежащей в длинноволновой области спектра. На примере двух частиц с ограниченным числом резонансов исследовано влияние разности резонансных длин волн на глубину и положение потенциальной ямы.
Spectral dependences of interaction energy of multilevel semiconductor quantum dots are calculated in dipole-dipole approximation for a pair of CdSe quantum dots in a quasi-resonant laser field, for cases of two identical quantum dots and those with differing transition wavelengths. Interaction energy of pair of multilevel quantum dots in the long-wavelength potential well is much higher than that of pair of two-level quantum dots.

Аннотация: The singularities of the time autocorrelation functions (ACFs) for a heteronuclear spin system of a crystal are investigated. Exact expressions are obtained for ten moments of the spectra of ACFs in the approximation of a self-consistent fluctuating field (SCFF) with arbitrary axial symmetry. These expressions are applied to determine the coordinate of the lowest singular point of these functions on the imaginary-time axis for a spin system with a dipole-dipole interaction (DDI). The leading corrections to this coordinate due to the correlation of local fields in real crystals are calculated. These corrections are determined by lattice sums with triangles of four bonds and pairs of four bonds. Numerical values of the coordinate are obtained for a LiF crystal in a magnetic field directed along three crystallographic axes. An increase in the coordinate of the singular point, which follows from the theory and leads to a faster falloff of the wings of the ACF spectra, qualitatively agrees with experiment. © 2005 Pleiades Publishing, Inc.

Аннотация: The hypothesis concerning the existence of singular points on the imaginary time axis for a correlation function of a system with the dipole-dipole interaction of nuclear spins of a crystal is verified. Within the framework of the self-consistent fluctuating field theory taking into account the principal corrections related to the correlation of local fields, a result for this coordinate is obtained in terms of the ratios of lattice sums. Experimental values of this coordinate are calculated from the wings of the nuclear magnetic resonance absorption spectrum of a BaF2 crystal for the magnetic field directions along the three crystallographic axes. Good agreement of the theoretical and experimental results justifies this hypothesis. (C) 2003 MAIK "Nauka / Interperiodica".

Аннотация: Using the exactly solvable model known in statistical physics as the infinite-range interaction model (the van der Waals model), we obtain expressions for the hierarchy of multispin multiquantum time correlation functions for a solid-state paramagnetic nuclear spin system with magnetic dipole-dipole interaction between nuclei. These functions are observed experimentally using contemporary multiquantum NMR spectroscopy methods. We write the complete set of orthogonal multispin operators explicitly and find the time dependence for amplitudes of multiparticle time correlation functions. The proposed model describes the behavior of multiparticle correlation functions well, at least for not very large numbers n of expansion harmonics. The theoretical results agree well with the experimental data obtained for hexamethylbenzol.

Аннотация: The time dependence of the NMR multiple quantum spectrum in solids containing methyl groups is investigated. We studied both of types of the nuclear spin systems: namely linking by secular part of the mutual dipole-dipole interaction and linking by effective double quantum Hamiltonian. It is revealed for the first type of systems the rate with the time of the growing up of the second moment when intramolecular interaction is present becomes less in compare with situation when a strong intramolecular interaction is absent. On the contrary for the second type of Hamiltonian the above rate increases.

Аннотация: The singularities of the time autocorrelation functions (ACFs) of magnetically diluted spin systems with dipole–dipole interaction (DDI), which determine the high-frequency asymptotics of autocorrelation functions and the wings of a magnetic resonance line, are studied. Using the self-consistent fluctuating local field approximation, nonlinear equations are derived for autocorrelation functions averaged over the independent random arrangement of spins (magnetic atoms) in a diamagnetic lattice with different spin concentrations. The equations take into account the specificity of the dipole–dipole interaction. First, due to its axial symmetry in a strong static magnetic field, the autocorrelation functions of longitudinal and transverse spin components are described by different equations. Second, the long-range type of the dipole–dipole interaction is taken into account by separating contributions into the local field from distant and near spins. The recurrent equations are obtained for the expansion coefficients of autocorrelation functions in power series in time. From them, the numerical value of the coordinate of the nearest singularity of the autocorrelation function is found on the imaginary time axis, which is equal to the radius of convergence of these expansions. It is shown that in the strong dilution case, the logarithmic concentration dependence of the coordinate of the singularity is observed, which is caused by the presence of a cluster of near spins whose fraction is small but contribution to the modulation frequency is large. As an example a silicon crystal with different 29Si concentrations in magnetic fields directed along three crystallographic axes is considered. © 2017, Pleiades Publishing, Inc.

Аннотация: Production of nanostructures consisting of semiconductor nanoparticles (NPs) is of interest for number of applications. Development of new methods of NPs' manipulation and aggregation of NPs into nanostructures with pre-defined geometry is also of considerable interest from the fundamental point of view. Under laser irradiation with properly chosen wavelengths excitonic excitations of semiconductor NPs will be induced. Electrodynamical interaction between excited NPs is rather universal and allows formation of wide variety of nanostructures both of homo- and heterogeneous content. Theoretical approach for study of interaction of NPs' ensembles with laser light includes dipole-dipole approximation for NPs' attraction. Experimental results are obtained for TGA stabilized CdTe QDs with the excitonic resonance at 520 nm. Six different samples of the same colloid solution were irradiated at wavelengths from 540 to 570 nm. Modifications of absorption spectra of solutions after irradiation was detected, being most prominent at 555 and 560 nm irradiation wavelengths. Analysis of spectra shows that up to 47% of QDs were assembled into pairs with 10 nm inter-QD distance. Therefore, possibility of precise QDs manipulation via laser-induced electrodynamical interaction is demonstrated.

Аннотация: The dependence of plasmon resonance excitations in ultrafine (3-7 nm) gold nanoparticles on heating and melting is investigated. An integrated approach is adopted, where molecular dynamics simulations of the spatial and temporal development of the atoms constituting the nanoparticles generate trajectories out of which system conformations are sampled and extracted for calculations of plasmonic excitation cross sections which then are averaged over the sample configurations for the final result. The calculations of the plasmonic excitations, which take into account the temperature- and size-dependent relaxation of the plasmons, are carried out with a newly developed Extended Discrete Interaction Model (Ex-DIM) and complemented by multilayered Mie theory. The integrated approach clearly demonstrates the conditions for suppression of the plasmons starting at temperatures well below the melting point. We have found a strong inhomogeneous dependence of the atom mobility in the particle crystal lattice increasing from the center to its surface upon the temperature growth. The plasmon resonance suppression is associated with an increase of the mobility and in the amplitude of phonon vibrations of the lattice atoms accompanied by electron-phonon scattering. This leads to an increase in the relaxation constant impeding the plasmon excitation as the major source of the suppression, while the direct contribution from the increase in the lattice constant and its chaotization at melting is found to be minor. Experimental verification of the suppression of surface plasmon resonance is demonstrated for gold nanoparticles on a quartz substrate heated up to the melting temperature and above.

It is shown that a difference in resonant frequencies leads to the formation of additional minima and maxima, which are absent in the spectral dependence of the interaction energy of identical particles at similar orientations of the pair of particles with respect to the plane of polarisation of radiation. These features are due to the fact that the oscillation phase difference of the induced dipole moments of particles reaches values close to π.

Аннотация: Dipole optical excitations on fractals are numerically simulated. It is shown that dipole eigen-modes of fractals are localized. The corresponding localization length dependence on the generalized frequency parameter (dispersion law) has been calculated. The value of optical spectral dimension found from the dispersion relations is in agreement with the result obtained earlier from calculations of the density of eigenstates.

Аннотация: The paper presents theoretical justification for the possibility of formation of nanoparticle structures with the predefined configuration. The process of formation is the self-organized aggregation of nanoparticles under the action of external resonant laser field. The formation of various nanostructures that contain metallic and semiconducting nanoparticles with resonances in the visible spectrum is considered in the dipole-dipole approximation.
Теоретически показана возможность формирования структур из наночастиц с заранее заданной конфигурацией. Это возможно благодаря явлению самоорганизации наночастиц под действием внешнего резонансного поля лазерного излучения. Формирование различных наноструктур, содержащих металлические и полупроводниковые наночастицы с резонансной длиной волны в видимой области, считалось в диполь-дипольном приближении.

Аннотация: This paper describes experimental and theoretical studies of the tails of the dipole-broadened nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) absorption spectra of F-19 in isomorphic single crystals of BaF2 and CaF2 with the magnetic field directed along three crystallographic axes. The results obtained by directly measuring the derivative of the tail of the NMR absorption spectrum and the falloffs of the Engelsberg-Lowe free precession after Fourier transformation qualitatively agree. It is shown that the shape of the tail is well described by an exponential function in which the orientational dependence of the exponent does not reduce to variation of the second moment. The observed shape of the tail and the orientational dependence of its parameters are explained on the basis of a self-consistent fluctuating-local-field theory. Nonlinear integral equations are derived for the correlation functions, taking into account the changes of the actual number of nearest neighbors caused by the anisotropy of the dipole-dipole interaction and the contribution of lattice sums with loops. The equations are solved numerically. Good agreement is obtained for the computed dropoffs of the free precession, the NMR spectra, and the cross-polarization rates with the experimental results. Аннотация: In this work, the approach of ultra-wide band pulses synthesizing is proposed using a broadband low-cost log-periodic dipole antenna and a vector network analyzer. Synthesis of UWB pulse (duration of 2.2ns) became possible due to minimization of antenna dispersion by compensation of amplitude and phase-frequency distortions introduced by the antenna into radiated and received pulse. The method had been developed for a down-looking antenna in a monostatic radar configuration. The antenna return loss was calculated using the model of two-port linear network with S-parameters. To calibrate the model, an original amplitude-phase method was proposed that requires measuring the antenna's return loss when the antenna is located only at several heights above the reflecting surface (metal sheet). In this case, the antenna return loss in an empty room does not need to be measured. The proposed method for synthesizing UWB pulses does not require changes in the design of the antenna and can be implemented as an additional software calibration of the antenna-feeder path. The proposed method of UWB pulses synthesizing can be implemented using miniature, low-cost vector network analyzers for environment remote sensing from unmanned aerial vehicle using the UWB impulses.

Аннотация: In this letter, the possibility of synthesizing ultra-wideband (UWB) impulses with a conventional log-periodic dipole antenna (LPDA) mounted on a quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was demonstrated. The formation of impulses using LPDA (bandwidth from 427 MHz to 1.01 GHz) with a duration of 1.9 ns, containing one period of field oscillations, became possible due to compensation of amplitude and phase-frequency distortions introduced by the antenna into radiated and received impulses. Compensation for these distortions was carried out by inverse filtering method after calibrating the antenna-feeder path at various heights UAV hovering above the reference reflector (brass mesh). The conductive carbon elements of UAV, located in the near field of the antenna, are indirectly taken into account during the calibration of antenna-feeder path parameters and do not introduce significant distortions into the generated impulses. The suggested method of synthesizing UWB impulses can find application in environmental remote sensing and can also be used to sharpen fronts of impulses radiated\received with LPDA.
