Аннотация:
The effect of the strong intersite
Coulomb
correlations on the formation of an electron structure in the Shubin-Vonsowsky model in the regime of strong one-site correlations is studied. The results reveal a split-off band of the Fermi states. The spectral intensity of this band grows with the enhancement of the doping level and is determined by the mean-square fluctuation of occupation numbers. This changes the structure of the electron density of states qualitatively. © 2012 Allerton Press, Inc.

interaction on the formation of the Kohn–Luttinger superconductivity in monolayer doped graphene is studied disregarding the Van der Waals potential of the substrate and both magnetic and non-magnetic impurities. interaction, significantly affects the interplay between the superconducting phases with the f-wave, p+ip-wave, and d+id-wave symmetries of the order parameter. It is demonstrated that taking
Coulomb
repulsion of electrons located at the next-nearest neighboring atoms in such a system into account changes qualitatively the phase diagram and enhances the critical temperature of the transition to the superconducting phase.

repulsion of holes located at nearestneighbor oxygen sites if the order parameter has the dx2−y2 symmetry. This effect is due to the symmetry characteristics of the

potential, owing to which the equation determining the Cooper pairing in the dx2−y2 channel does not include this potential.

repulsion between electrons on neighboring sites in the limit of low electron density (n(el) - 0) on simple cubic (square) lattice. We show that in a realistic strong-coupling case U V W (U and V are the onsite and the intersite
Coulomb
repulsions, respectively, and W the bandwidth) the main SC instability corresponds to the p-wave pairing and in the leading order is correctly described by the equations obtained earlier in the absence of the intersite
Coulomb
interaction V = 0.

Аннотация:
The effect of strong intersite
Coulomb
correlations on the formation of the electron structure of the t-V model has been studied. A qualitatively new result indicating the occurrence of a split-off band of Fermi states has been obtained. The spectral intensity of this band increases with an increase in doping level and is determined by the mean-square fluctuation of occupation numbers. This results in the transformation of the energy structure and the integrated density of states and in a further decrease in state occupation in the quasimomentum space near the Fermi level as compared with Hubbard renormalization. It has been shown that this effect leads to an increase in the area of the quasimomentum space part limited by the Fermi contour and is important for the analysis of the de Haas-van Alphen oscillations in cuprate superconductors.

Аннотация:
The cluster perturbation theory is presented in the 2D Hubbard model constructed using X operators in the Hubbard-I approximation. The short-range magnetic order is taken into account by dividing the entire lattice into individual 2 x 2 clusters and solving the eigenvalue problem in an individual cluster using exact diagonalization taking into account all excited levels. The case of half-filling taking into account jumps between nearest neighbors is considered. As a result of numerical solution, a shadow zone is discovered in the quasiparticle spectrum. It is also found that a gap in the density of states in the quasiparticle spectrum at zero temperature exists for indefinitely small values of
Coulomb
repulsion parameter U and increases with this parameter. It is found that the presence of this gap in the spectrum is due to the formation of a short-range antiferromagnetic order. An analysis of the temperature evolution of the density of states shows that the metal-insulator transition occurs continuously. The existence of two characteristic energy scales at finite temperatures is demonstrated, the larger scale is associated with the formation of a pseudogap in the vicinity of the Fermi level, and the smaller scale is associated with the metal-insulator transition temperature. A peak in the density of states at the Fermi level, which is predicted in the dynamic mean field theory in the vicinity of the metal-insulator transition, is not observed.

Аннотация:
We have studied the resistivity and thermoelectromotive force (thermo emf) in a temperature range of T = 80-1000 K, the magnetic susceptibility and magnetization in a temperature range of T= 4.2-300 K at an external magnetic field of up to 70 kOe, and the structural characteristics of CoxMn1 - S-x sulfides (0 <= x <= 0.4). Anomalies in the transport properties of these compounds have been found in the temperature intervals Delta T-1 = 200-270 K and Delta T-2 = 530-670 K and at T-3 similar to T-N. The temperature dependences of the magnetic susceptibility, magnetization, and resistivity, as well as the current-voltage characteristics, exhibit hysteresis. In the domain of magnetic ordering at temperatures below the Neel temperature (TN), the anti ferromagnetic CoxMn1 - xS sulfides possess a spontaneous magnetic moment that is explained using a model of the orbital ordering of electrons in the t(2g) bands. The influence of the cobalt-ion-induced charge ordering on the transport and magnetic properties of sulfides has been studied. The calculated values of the temperatures corresponding to the maxima of charge susceptibility, which are related to a competition between the on-site Coulomb interaction of holes in various subbands and their weak hybridization, agree well with the experimental data.

A hybrid scheme for the electronic structure calculations of strongly correlated electron systems is proposed. The ab initio local density approximation calculation is used to construct the Wannier functions and obtain single electron and
Coulomb
parameters of the multiband Hubbard-type model. In strong correlation regime the electronic structure within multiband Hubbard model is calculated by the generalized tight-binding method, which combines the exact diagonalization of the model Hamiltonian for a small cluster (unit cell) with perturbation treatment of the intercluster hopping and interactions. For undoped La2CuO4 and Nd2CuO4 this scheme results in charge transfer insulators with correct values of gaps and dispersions of bands in agreement with the angle-resolved photoemission data.

Magnetic and optical properties of GdFe3-xGax(BO3)(4) single crystals are investigated by Mossbauer and optical spectroscopy. The GdFe3(BO3)(4) multielectron band structure model is derived. A high- and low-spin crossover of Fe3+ ion, a collapse of the magnetic moment, the suppression of
Coulomb
correlations, and insulator-semiconductor transition are predicted. The jump of an energy gap is measured at pressure 43 GPa. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Аннотация:
The resistivity and the optical absorbtion spectra of single crystal alpha-MnS are studied in the temperature range 80-300 K along two directions [100] and [111]. Strong anisotropy of the resistivity, and the shift of absorbtion spectra band edge below T < 160 K are explained in terms of model involving delocalized holes in 3d-band manganese ions interacting with localized spins by using the sd-model. Аннотация:
By means of a diagram technique for Hubbard operators, we show the existence of a spin-dependent renormalization of the localized levels in an interacting region, e.g., quantum dot, modeled by the Anderson Hamiltonian with two conduction bands. It is shown that the renormalization of the levels with a given spin direction is due to kinematic interactions with the conduction subbands of the opposite spin. The consequence of this dressing of the localized levels is a drastically decreased tunneling current for ferromagnetically ordered leads compared to that of paramagnetically ordered leads. Furthermore, the studied system shows a spin-dependent resonant tunneling behavior for ferromagnetically ordered leads.

Аннотация:
The periodical Anderson model (PAM) is microscopically derived. It is shown that the PAM is a mean field theory for the electric potential. The mixing interaction (MI) consists of single- and two- particle contributions. The first is proportional to the overlap integral of localized and band wave functions and vanishes when band energies are on the Fermi surface. It leads to the absence of heavy-fermion effects in the theories based on the PAM with only this mixing term. Using the orthogonal basis this term vanishes only at zero temperature. Applicability of the Luttinger theorem to systems with strongly-correlated electrons (SSCE) is discussed. The phonon dynamic matrix and electron-phonon interaction (EPI) for SSCE are microscopically derived.

Аннотация:
The effect of the intersite
Coulomb
interaction of fermions on the ground state and energy structure of high-temperature superconductors is considered within the three-band Emery model using an extended basis of the irreducible operators orthogonal on Mori. The proposed theory allows prediction of bands of the fluctuation states whose spectral intensity grows with an increase in the root-mean-square fluctuations of the occupation numbers. The increase in these fluctuations in high-temperature superconductors upon doping plays a key role in redistribution of the integrated density of the Fermi states.

Within the spin-fermion model for cuprate superconductors, the influence of the intersite
Coulomb
interactions V2 and V′2V′2 between holes located at the next-nearest-neighbor oxygen ions of CuO2 plane on the implementation of the dx2−y2dx2−y2-wave pairing is studied. It is shown that d-wave pairing can be suppressed only for unphysically large values of V2 and V′2V′2.
В рамках спин-фермионной модели для купратных сверхпроводников изучено влияние межузельных кулоновских отталкиваний V2 и V2' между дырками, находящимися на следующих за ближайшими ионах кислорода CuO2-плоскости, на реализацию сверхпроводящего dx2y2-спаривания. Показано, что d-спаривание подавляется только при нефизически больших значениях параметров V2 и V2'.

We present an analytical and numerical investigation of the spectral and transport properties of a quadruple quantum-dot (QQD) structure which is one of the popular low-dimensional systems in the context of fundamental quantum physics study, future electronic applications, and quantum calculations. The density of states, occupation numbers, and conductance of the structure were analyzed using the nonequilibrium Green's functions in the tight-binding approach and the equation-of-motion method. In particular the anisotropy of hopping integrals and on-site electron energies as well as the effects of the finite intra- and interdot
Coulomb
interactions were investigated. It was found out that the anisotropy of the kinetic processes in the system leads to the Fano-Feshbach asymmetrical peak. We demonstrated that the conductance of the QQD device has a wide insulating band with steep edges separating triple-peak structures if the intradot
Coulomb
interactions are taken into account. The interdot
Coulomb
correlations between the central QDs result in the broadening of this band and the occurrence of an additional band with low conductance due to the Fano antiresonances. It was shown that in this case the conductance of the anisotropic QQD device can be dramatically changed by tuning the anisotropy of on-site electron energies.
