The formation of the spin-resonance peak is demonstrated and its connection to the experimental data on the inelastic neutron scattering is discussed.

Аннотация: In this study, topologically nontrivial edge and vortex bound states are described in the coexistence phase of chiral spin-singlet superconductivity and noncollinear spin ordering on a triangular lattice in the presence of few (up to four) vortices. We consider the topological phase transition induced by the magnetic order between the phase hosting Majorana modes and the initial phase of the chiral d-wave superconductivity supporting non-Majorana modes which is also topologically nontrivial. The change of the excitation spectrum at the critical point is obtained in both cases of open and periodic boundary conditions in the presence of vortices. It is proved that zero-energy Majorana modes localized at vortex cores are caused by noncollinear long-range magnetic ordering. Even though nearby excitation energies of subgap states including the edge-localized and vortex-localized states are very close to each other, the energy difference between different vortex bound states is an order of magnitude higher. This difference determines the energy gap for Majorana vortex modes separating them from other vortex bound states. It is found that even in the presence of noncollinear spin ordering its value can be estimated from the excitation energy of vortex bound states in the pure chiral d-wave state for the nonmagnetic case. By studying local density of states near the vortex cores the possibility to experimentally detect the described Majorana vortex modes by scanning tunneling microscopy is discussed. It is demonstrated that Majorana vortex modes and Majorana antivortex modes induced by noncollinear magnetism have different features in energy and spatially resolved density of states due to the chiral symmetry on the superconducting order parameter.

Аннотация: At present, a new mechanis m of the formation of the Majorana edge states in topological spin-singlet superconductors due to the presence of the long- range magnetic order is often considered [1- 3]. We show a formation of the coexistence state of chiral d+id superconductivity and noncollinear 120-degree spin ordering in the strongly correlated Mott- Hubbard system with a triangular lattice (such as NaxCoO2). There exist different topologically nontrivial phases characterized by the invariant N3in the coexistence stateю The topologicaltransitions between such phases occur upon increasingelectron doping. By solving the system of equations for the Green functions the appearance of Majorana fermions in the coexistence phase is shown. With strong correlation effects the Majorana fermion c an be defined as the specificsuperposition of electron-like and hole-like Hubbard fermions.

Аннотация: Eu–Ba–Cu–O composition was synthesized by solid state reaction technique. To determine optimum growth temperature, heat treatment was examined on the material at 880–1,100 °C. Microstructural evolution, phase formation and elemental distribution depending on heat treatments were examined by using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscope analysis. Optimum fabrication conditions were determined as 1,020 °C for 24 h under oxygen atmosphere and detailed characterization of corresponding compound was performed. The magnetization hysteresis loops are expounded to be the product of superconducting Eu-123 grains and magnetic Eu2+ ions. The peak effect on the magnetization curves was described by the extended critical state model. Scaling of the pinning force was found such that the peak position is proportional to the irreversibility field H irr and the maximum pinning force is proportional to H irr 2 .

Аннотация: The distinctive characteristics of the de Haas-van Alphen effect in semimetals with antiferromagnetic long-range order are investigated theoretically. It is shown that the transition of the subsystem of localized spins from the canted antiferromagnetic phase to the ferromagnetic phase is accompanied by an abrupt change in the ''frequency'' of the magnetization oscillations of band carriers M-similar to. In the below-critical range of magnetic fields, M-similar to is not a function periodic in 1/H. Significantly, the additional contribution to the phase of the oscillatory factors is proportional to H-2 and is determined entirely by quantum fluctuations in the antiferromagnetic subsystem. Аннотация: The spin-fermion model, which is an effective low-energy realization of the three-band Emery model after passing to the Wannier representation for the px and py orbitals of the subsystem of oxygen ions, reduces to the generalized Kondo lattice model. A specific feature of this model is the existence of spin-correlated hoppings of the current carriers between distant cells. Numerical calculations of the spectrum of spin-electron excitations highlight the important role of the long-range spin-correlated hoppings.

Аннотация: The diagram series structure for Matsubara Green's functions in the Hubbard operators representation have been analyzed for the superconducting (SC) phase in the t-J-model. It has been found that the Hubbard operator diagram technique besides anomalous self-energy operator includes also anomalous strength operator (ASO). With account for ASO Gor'kov equations have been written. ASO are shown to be very essential when anomalous averages are calculated. The anomalous self-energy operator and ASO were derived in one-loop approximation. It has turned out that strength operator components depend oil Matsubara frequency. As a result the SC phase is described by infinite set of integral equations. When deriving the equation for transition temperature in SC phase with s- and d-order parameter symmetry this system has been solved exactly. On the basis of numerical calculations it has been found that the account for strength operator components has fully suppressed SC phase with s-order parameter symmetry in the t-J-model. Аннотация: In the framework of the spin-fermion model, to which the Emery model is reduced in the limit of strong electron correlations, it is shown that the fermion quasiparticles in cuprate high-Tcsuperconductors (HTSCs) arise under a strong effect of exchange coupling between oxygen holes and spins of copper ions. This underlies the spin-polaron nature of fermion quasiparticles in cuprate HTSCs. The Cooper instability with respect to the d-wave symmetry of the order parameter is revealed for an ensemble of such quasiparticles. For the normal phase, the spin-polaron concept allows us to reproduce the fine details in the evolution of the Fermi surface with the changes in the doping level x observed in experiment for La2-xSrxCuO4. The calculated T–x phase diagram correlates well with the available experimental data for cuprate HTSCs. © 2016, Pleiades Publishing, Inc. All Right Reserved.

Аннотация: A theory of the superconducting state with s-type symmetry of the order parameter ( the transition to this state was observed in recently discovered heavy-fermion skutterudite LaFe(4)P(12)) is developed using the periodic Anderson model in the limit of strong electron correlations. Exact representations of Green's functions of the superconducting phase via the normal and anomalous components of the mass and strength operators are obtained. It is shown that an important role in the description of this superconducting phase is played by the anomalous components of the strength operator, which reflect spin-fluctuation processes in the localized subsystem. These components are calculated in the one-loop approximation using the solution of an infinite system of integral equations of self-consistency for the superconducting phase. Numerical calculations show that allowance for the process of scattering on spin fluctuations leads to renormalization of the critical temperature and provides agreement with the experimental data.

Аннотация: The effect of strong intersite Coulomb correlations on the formation of the electron structure of the t-V model has been studied. A qualitatively new result indicating the occurrence of a split-off band of Fermi states has been obtained. The spectral intensity of this band increases with an increase in doping level and is determined by the mean-square fluctuation of occupation numbers. This results in the transformation of the energy structure and the integrated density of states and in a further decrease in state occupation in the quasimomentum space near the Fermi level as compared with Hubbard renormalization. It has been shown that this effect leads to an increase in the area of the quasimomentum space part limited by the Fermi contour and is important for the analysis of the de Haas-van Alphen oscillations in cuprate superconductors.

Аннотация: The influence of spin and charge fluctuations on the pseudogap formation in cuprate superconductors has been studied using the diagram technique for Hubbard operators. It has been shown that the joint inclusion of the spin and charge fluctuations leads to the formation of "shadow" bands with a strong modulation of the spectral intensity and to a decrease in the density of electronic states at the Fermi level.

Аннотация: IIn the framework of the spin-fermion model, it is shown that accounting for the strong spin-charge fluctuations between holes of copper and oxygen ions in cuprate High-T c superconductors leads to the formation of the Fermi spin-polaron quasiparticles. It is demonstrated that the large value of the binding energy of such quasiparticle is determined by the processes in which hopping intensity of the oxygen holes depends significantly on the spin configuration of holes on the copper and oxygen ions. It was found that the ensemble of such quasiparticles manifests Cooper instability and the concentration dependence of the critical temperature is in good agreement with the experimental data.

Аннотация: It is shown that the exchange interaction in the subsystem of localized moments of copper ions can trigger a Cooper instability in the ensemble of spin-polaron quasiparticles in cuprate high-temperature superconductors. It is important that, inherent to cuprates, strong coupling between Fermi and spin degrees of freedom leads on the one hand to formation of spin-polaron quasiparticles and, on the other hand, allows to transfer the interaction between Bose degrees of freedom onto the interaction between Fermi quasiparticles. The solution of the integral equation for the d-wave superconducting order parameter is well consistent with the available experimental data.

Аннотация: Taking into account the real crystalline structure of the CuO2 plane and the strong spin-fermion coupling, the influence of the on-site Coulomb repulsion of holes Up and the intersite Coulomb repulsion V2 between holes located at the next-nearest-neighbor oxygen ions on the formation of the superconducting gap with the d-wave symmetry of the order parameter of the spin-polaron quasiparticles is studied. It is shown that the formation of the resulting superconducting gap within the spin-fermion model is caused by three components. The dependence of the narrowing of the superconducting gap on the values Up and V2 is analyzed.

Аннотация: The effect of the intersite Coulomb interaction of fermions on the ground state and energy structure of high-temperature superconductors is considered within the three-band Emery model using an extended basis of the irreducible operators orthogonal on Mori. The proposed theory allows prediction of bands of the fluctuation states whose spectral intensity grows with an increase in the root-mean-square fluctuations of the occupation numbers. The increase in these fluctuations in high-temperature superconductors upon doping plays a key role in redistribution of the integrated density of the Fermi states.

Аннотация: It is shown using the 2D Emery model that the strong coupling between the spin subsystem of copper ions in the singlet state and the subsystem of oxygen holes considerably reduces the spectral intensity of the correlation function for holes on the Fermi contour. Spin-charge correlations are manifested in the existence of two channels. The first channel is due to the p-d exchange coupling of spins of the oxygen and copper holes. The second channel appears as a result of spin-correlated hoppings, when the motion of holes over oxygen ions is accompanied by spin-flip processes (i.e., simultaneous changes in the spin projections of an oxygen hole and a copper ion). It is established as a result of self-consistent calculations that the allowance for the concentration dependence of spin correlators and multicenter spin-charge correlators appearing in the dispersion equation ensures a decrease in the energy of the system and considerably affects the evolution of the Fermi surface under hole doping.

Аннотация: Using the method of diagram techniques for the spin and Fermi operators in the framework of the SU(2)-invariant spin-fermion model of the electron structure of the CuO2plane of copper oxides, we obtain an exact representation of the Matsubara Green’s function D⊥(k, iω m ) of the subsystem of localized spins. This representation includes the Larkin mass operator ΣL(k, iω m ) and the strength and polarization operators P(k, iω m ) and Π(k, iω m ). The calculation in the one-loop approximation of the mass and strength operators for the Heisenberg spin system in the quantum spin-liquid state allows writing the Green’s function D⊥(k, iω m ) explicitly and establishing a relation to the result of Shimahara and Takada. An essential point in the developed approach is taking the spin-polaron nature of the Fermi quasiparticles in the spin-fermion model into account in finding the contribution of oxygen holes to the spin response in terms of the polarization operator Π(k, iω m ).

Аннотация: It is demonstrated for the first time that the strong coupling between spin moments of copper ions and oxygen holes, which arises upon hybridization mixing of two hole subsystems in the Emery model, not only affects the formation of spin polaron quasiparticles but also ensures effective attraction between them via the exchange interaction. This results in the Cooper instability with d-wave pairing in a 2D ensemble of spin polaron quasiparticles. The T-x phase diagram obtained using this approach agrees well with the available experimental data. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
